As an L&D Lead, I’ve used tools like Menti, Kahoot, and DirectPoll, but this platform stands out as far more effective. The ChatGPT integration significantly reduces the time needed to create questions for polls and quizzes, which is a big advantage.

The customization options, music features, and detailed reports deserve special mention areas where I’ve faced limitations with other platforms. While I use the Pro annual version, my extended team benefits from the free version, which still allows them to engage smaller audiences effectively, including features like leaderboards that I haven’t seen as well implemented elsewhere.

This is my go to platform for all my training events.

I tried this out for the first time ever to make a staff meeting more fun and engaging while also pertaining to topics that are important to know. They had so much fun answering questions, and it definitely helped them learn in a way that they would be able to remember the information. I was really impressed with how AhaSlides integrates QR codes and link sharing into presentations. Seeing a friend use it in her classroom made me realize how smoothly reactions flow with a QR code on the screen at all times, plus the ease of sharing links for instant student responses, similar to platforms like Instagram and Facebook. The continuous display of QR codes and links in a sidebar is a lifesaver compared to my usual PowerPoint slides, where including such features would disrupt the content and impact the viewers' experience. I struggled to insert an audio file that syncs with the material and is easy to open or close. The timer in the slides should have an easier way, like in Canva, as you can add or adjust anytime you need. I failed to insert both times or audio files, which is crucial in our class lessons. My greatest challenge in AhaSlides was to upload my own slides as they permit only certain things, so I have to keep cutting my presentations to fit the allowed files to be uploaded and to change and edit. There is some improvements that is needed in the application like: ability to copy more than one slides from a presentation to another, Timer Slide for breaks and work progress, possibility to share a public link with slides in PDF for download by participants, some fonts letter compatibility after PPT import.
