We’ve been using Agora for our real estate investment management, and it has made a real difference in how we handle our investors and back-office work. Overall Experience For us, the combination of an investor-friendly portal, automated distributions, and back-office support has freed up time to focus on the properties and strategy instead of paperwork. What do you dislike about Agora Real Estate? Overall I’m happy with Agora, but there are a few things I’d improve. Some features feel a bit overcomplicated at first, and onboarding takes time. Instead of constantly emailing statements or fielding questions about distributions, our investors can log in anytime and see their information themselves. From our side, the built-in CRM makes it easy to keep track of commitments and communication. It feels like everything is finally in one place instead of scattered across spreadsheets and emails. Distributions One of the biggest time-savers for us has been the distribution management. Preparing and sending distribution notices used to be a headache, but with Agora we can generate and send them in just a couple of clicks. Everything is automated and personalized for each investor, which cuts down on mistakes and back-and-forth. Accounting & Tax Reporting What I really appreciate is that Agora doesn’t stop at investor relations—it also helps with the less glamorous but critical tasks like bookkeeping and tax reporting. Uploading K-1s through the system, for example, is surprisingly simple: you just drop in the files, and each investor gets the right one through the portal. It makes tax season a lot less stressful. The team is incredibly responsive, and it's great to see the product constantly evolving for the better. I find the fundraising workflow impressive as it effectively manages our investor interest, facilitates signing subscription agreements, and handles funding. We’re especially impressed with the recent upgrades to the fund structure capabilities—particularly the enhanced waterfall feature, which is both powerful and intuitive. The new offering tools are user-friendly and thoughtfully designed, making it easier to present investments to our clients. On the back end, the platform provides robust functionality for managing capital movement and investor allocations. Overall, we’re pleased with the direction Agora is heading and appreciate their responsiveness to customer needs. nto change and upgrades for customer. While we’re pleased with many of the recent enhancements, there are still a few pain points that need attention: • The Plaid integration has been particularly challenging, with frequent issues that disrupt the investor experience and often require manual intervention. • The signature request feature remains limited, especially when dealing with multiple signers or more complex document flows. Greater flexibility here would significantly improve efficiency. • The CRM email functionality still feels underdeveloped. It was especially disappointing to lose the ability to include video thumbnails, which had been a valuable engagement tool for investor communication. • The distribution system is still not fully functional for our needs. We frequently have to revert to manual NACHA file uploads in order to process payments, which reduces efficiency and increases the risk of error.
