"A Flexible CMS That Lets Developers Build Without Limits"
What do you like best about Agility CMS?

Agility CMS works smoothly with different tech stacks and doesn’t force me into one way of building websites. Its headless setup gives me the freedom to design the frontend exactly how I want while still letting the content team work independently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Agility CMS?

Some advanced configuration steps take more trial and error than I’d like. The documentation covers the basics well, but for deeper technical use cases, I often have to figure things out myself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A flexible Modern CMS"
What do you like best about Agility CMS?

One of the aspects I appreciate about Agility CMS is its intuitive user interface. It's incredibly user-friendly, allowing me to easily navigate and manage my content without any steep learning curve. The visual editor is particularly impressive, as it provides a WYSIWYG experience, making creating and updating content a breeze. Additionally, the flexibility of the content modelling system allows me to adapt the CMS to my specific needs, defining custom fields and relationships to suit my content structure perfectly. Overall, the user experience of Agility CMS stands out as a significant highlight for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Agility CMS?

While Agility CMS offers a lot of valuable features, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. One aspect that I sometimes find challenging is the limited documentation for certain advanced features. Although the platform is generally easy to use, there are times when I need more detailed guidance or examples for complex tasks. Having more comprehensive documentation or even video tutorials would greatly help users in exploring the full potential of the CMS. Additionally, while the integrations provided by Agility CMS are extensive, I would appreciate even more pre-built integrations with popular third-party services to enhance the ecosystem further. These enhancements would make Agility CMS an even more robust solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jessie Dolman of Agility CMS

We truly appreciate your feedback about our documentation and integrations. In fact, Joel our CTO is now providing weekly video tutorials to help users like you explore and make the most of Agility CMS’s features.

Your insights are invaluable, and we’re continuously working to improve our documentation and expand our resources to better support you. Thanks again for sharing your experience and for being part of the Agility CMS community!

"First experience with a headless CMS and it went much better than I thought"
What do you like best about Agility CMS?

I like that they are technology agnostic - you can choose whatever you want as a front-end and consume content the way you want. Support via Slack has been great - having nearly direct access to help is unusual. Also, the Agility team continues to improve the product - the interface and features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Agility CMS?

I wish that there was a way to nest components with something like a group with columns so that you could, for example, place a component in the left column and a different component in the right column. Instead, you have to build specific components for each use case and can't leverage what you've already done. So in the end, to build a website, you have quite a few components that all need to be maintained. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jessie Dolman of Agility CMS

Thank you for sharing your experience with Agility CMS! We're thrilled to hear that your first experience with a headless CMS went better than expected. It’s great to know that you’ve found our technology-agnostic approach and Slack support helpful.

In response to your feedback about nesting components: you can utilize page models to create different zones, which would allow you to drag and drop components into left or right columns of your website. Additionally, we’re excited to share that we have an improved block editor experience for pages on our roadmap, which will make it even easier to add columns and build pages in a more modular way.

We appreciate your suggestions and are always working to improve our product. Thanks again for your review!

"Agility CMS Makes Coding and Content Work Together Nicely"
What do you like best about Agility CMS?

It connects well with my coding tools and lets me build websites without getting stuck. It's flexible and doesn't force me to work in just one way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Agility CMS?

The first setup is confusing and takes longer than I want. I also wish the help guides had more examples for tricky coding problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jessie Dolman of Agility CMS

Hi Jason,

"An Enterprise-Grade Headless CMS That Works"
What do you like best about Agility CMS?

Agility CMS stands out from WordPress by letting us design and publish content based on our specific needs, making the whole process smoother and more efficient. The recent UI update is a real highlight, with a clean, user-friendly interface that new users find easy to navigate. Plus, their support team is very helpful - getting help straight from the developers via their Slack channel or by email/video call. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Agility CMS?

There is a learning curve with Agility, and there is more initial set up at the start if you do not already have well-structured content. However, it's worth going through the process as you won't lose control of your data ever again if you stick with it - even if you leave Agility specifically. A senior member of your team should sit down and map out your content first before anyone else gets in the platform, so be prepared to set aside some time and assign someone ownership of that structuring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jennifer McLeod of Agility CMS

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review, Connor. We're so glad that you're enjoying our refreshed UI! It's amazing to know that taking a content-first and data-driven approach has had such a positive impact on your organization. Thanks for your trust in our team - we're so excited to see how you continue to evolve your content strategy as you grow your business. As always, we'll be happy to help advise and support along the way to ensure your success.
