Pardot has strong functionality for a marketing automation platform/email service provider. The new Engagement Studio is a great way to do drip campaigns. There are strong options for building dynamic lists. It is an all-in-one solution, you don't have to buy a lot of add-ons from third party integrations. Automations are quick and easy to build, but because of that sometimes you can't get as granular as you would like. Hosted forms used to go down a lot, but have been more reliable lately. Technical support, implementation system, not user-friendly, redirect links are confuse, Social media scheduling methodology, no possibility of tagging on social media, social media tool doesn't pull info from 3rd party websites correctly, no proper training, difficulties setting up emails and landing pages if you are not an expert in coding. It does the basics that you'd expect of a marketing automation platform: email creating, contact tracking, integration capabilities, list building, etc. If you take the time to become and expert on forms/form-handlers/engagement studio you can create some very interesting and smart workflows. Also, if you take the time to create a naming convention so you can find your material easily, that will make a big difference because right now it's easier for things to get messy then it is to keep folders and views clean. Having switched over from a different MA platform, I expected Pardot to do a lot more in terms of its integration and ownership of Salesforce. The engagement studio is a bit messy, email building has outdated capabilities (even compared to many of the free email providers our there now). Pardot has too many counterintuitive ways to accomplish simple tasks and their navigation needs a complete overhaul. Too often you are left saying why can't they just...Pardot was one of the early marketing automation tools and instead of redesigning the whole UI to compete more effectively they just keep building on top of what they have.
