It stores a lot of data and is the standard for sales and marketing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't think I've ever cursed this much in my whole life. Pardot is unnecessarily confusing, and Premium Support is nearly $200/month. Because Pardot is so confusing with its hidden menus and propietary terms for common concepts, there is so much that we pay for that we don't even know exists.
Every step of this platform involves a Google search to learn how to do something in English. Pardot's documentation sends you down a rabbit hole with voluminous and seemingly unnecessary explanations and backgrounds, plus the ridiculous terms for things, like the Marketing "cloud" instead of just calling it the "Marketing section," makes everything doubly confusing. I almost never go to Pardot first with a question.
When I told our Salesforce sales manager that the Premium Support (nearly $200 a month) wasn't worth it when we were renewing, he just kind of shrugged his shoulders and took it off our agreement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When we used Salesforce Account Engagement, it was Pardot. The best part of Pardot was how seamlessly everything integrated within Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We ended up not renewing. Wwhile it integrated well with Salesforce, the actual product itself didn't seem to suit the needs of our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Of course the big draw to Pardot is its integration with Salesforce and it doesn't disappoint there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The email design capabilities are WAY behind other email tools like MailChimp, ActiveCampaign and the like. Even with the new email template builder they released, it is very difficult to create nicely formatted emails that look good across different platforms without writing your own code.
From a usability perspective, my Salesforce environment is confusing to navigate because features are splintered across different tabs. Just not easy to navigate.
I've also been disappointed with the level of knowledge the support team has about Pardot. We've actually had to hire outside consultants to answer our questions because the Salesforce staff's knowlege was very basic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lot's of features, details, and integrations available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
More complicated to set up and build dashboards compared to competitor platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Integrates very well with Salesforce (Pardot is a Salesforce product)
I truly wish I could say more here but the only true advantage of Pardot is its integration with Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Lacks advanced features
- For some bulk activities, you need to contact support
- Automatic rules very limited
- Amateuristic email and landing pages templates
- UI to create landing pages and emails is straight from 2008 (I seriously create the emails in Mailchimp and import the HTML in Pardot)
- Price is too high for what you get Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pardot has everything that you would want from a marketing automation platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pardot is difficult to navigate and is not user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This list might be a lot longer if I hadn't come from a system like Marketo before. I can't think of anything that works better than Marketo . . . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The system is lacking key features that other systems have had for years like tokens (as Marketo calls them), if / then logic, depth in segmentation criteria, etc. But the worst part is the customer support, which has gone downhill dramatically since being outsourced (or switched outsourcing agencies?). I only ever get generic boilerplate responses now that don't at all address my question, they frequently point me elsewhere instead of answering it, and they constantly try to call for clarification, not at all understanding what I'm trying to tell them. Wasting so much of my time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The analytics portion of it. Sometimes I can't get it to load though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like the look and feel of the tool itself. I think it can be challenging to use and I always have issues with it fitting properly on any of my screens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
