"Affinity by Canva: Free, easy to learn. Unlockable potential with Canva Pro"
5/5
What do you like best about Affinity Designer?

Since its update to Affinity by Canva, it has received many improvements by consolidating the 3 apps into one.

It is a very comprehensive software with a small learning curve to start using, and the best part is that it can be used for free with basic day-to-day functions. However, if you want the AI functions, they are unlocked when synchronized with the CANVA PRO account, and you would already have several software with the same account and value: Affinity graphic design, photo editing, page design, and Canva, all in the same account. What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?

So far, the only thing I've noticed is some slowness when running certain processes, since there are three software programs in the same application, which could be understandable. Let's hope for an update that improves optimization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Free, Professional Design Tool That EASILY Rivals Illustrator"
5/5
What do you like best about Affinity Designer?

It’s free, and it’s a professional design tool for creating print-ready files as well as logos and branding for companies. It’s so complete and robust that you can basically do anything you’d be able to do in Illustrator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?

It still needs more ways to create shapes and paths, similar to Illustrator. I feel like it’s still missing a few features overall, and sometimes exporting files can alter the design, especially when I’m using text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Affinity Designer?

It's really affordable and offers good array of tools and great for vector work. I'm a marketer not a designer and I find it easy to use, it's intuitive enough to be able to pick up fairly quickly especially if you've used Adobe before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?

There's not a great deal to dislike. No it's not Adobe but neither is the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly Fast and Budget-Friendly Design Tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Affinity Designer?

I like the option to globally change and update colors in Affinity Designer because we often have to reskin the design systems. Being able to apply different brand colors to all our components and their states is a very handy feature. It makes rebranding our components for different companies and campaigns very, very easy and seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?

Not a lot of third party integrations or plugins Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Designing with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Affinity Designer?

Some of the best features of affinity designer as far as the vector plus raster in one app you know it’s another great space that actually helps in providing the pain the texture, the shading without leaving the file. The second best thing about them affinity designer is of course super fast and lightweight. Great thing I loved it actually Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?

I dislike that affinity designer is a smaller plug-in ecosystem and fewer third-party resources compared to Adobe industrial operation is still limited. So file compatibility with some client can be an issue consideration features and cloud-based workplace are also wekaer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Switching between Vector and Pixel personas is seamless, and the performance is way snappier than Photoshop. The best part? No predatory subscriptions. It’s a pro-grade powerhouse you actually own. It’s easily the best Adobe alternative on the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?

"Outstanding Value and Professional Features Without a Subscription"
5/5
What do you like best about Affinity Designer?

Affinity Photo is highly regarded for its one-time purchase model, which removes the need for a subscription. The software delivers professional-grade features, including non-destructive editing, live filters, and advanced tools such as HDR, focus stacking, and panorama creation. Its interface is fast and intuitive, similar to Photoshop, making it approachable for both beginners and experienced users. Overall, Affinity Photo stands out as an excellent value and a strong alternative to Photoshop. I use Affinity Photo at work for everything from RAW processing in the Develop Persona to creating complex composites in the Photo Persona. I take advantage of features like live filters, AI tools such as Generative Fill/Expand and Smart Selections for efficiency, and appreciate its seamless integration with Designer and Publisher for flexible workflows. The ability to customize panels and tools to suit specific tasks—whether I'm designing social media graphics, album art, or UI elements—makes it a versatile choice for a wide range of creative projects. "A worthy Rival to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Affinity Designer?

It has many of the same features you would find on Adobe programs, but I find it much more intuitive. Its the only program I can think to rival the long standing Industry standards like Photoshop and Illustrator Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?

It does take some onboarding, like any software. There are also some small improvements that could be made, like keeping me logged in so I don't have to go through the screen each time I boot up the program Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
