I really like that it's not just one tool; it's every tool in one. I really appreciate the features because they give us the best experience. The setup meets my expectations because it really looks like a tough illustrator, so it wasn't very hard to learn. Plus, it has a very interactive UI, making it easy to do everything. I really appreciate how professional it feels while still being easy to use once you get the hang of it. The one-time payment is a huge plus compared to subscription models and once you tried it once, you will stick to it and use if often, and the performance is smooth even on large RAW files. I also like that its easy to setup and it supports non-destructive editing and has most of the advanced tools I’d expect from high-end software without overwhelming the workspace. Some tools and workflows take time to get used to, and a few niche features available in Adobe’s ecosystem aren’t here yet. What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you? As a video editor using Filmora, I often need to create custom thumbnails, overlays, and quick touch-ups for still frames. Affinity Photo makes that process seamless without bogging down my workflow or forcing me into a subscription. Coming from Photoshop, I was tired of paying monthly just to use a handful of tools, and Affinity solves that by giving me everything I need with a one-time purchase. The software handles large RAW files and layered projects without lag, which is a big benefit when I’m editing high-resolution frames for my videos. It also integrates well with my Filmora workflow since I can export assets quickly and in multiple formats.
