## Affinity Designer Reviews
  ### 1. Great Illustrator Alternative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian K. | Freelance Developer and Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity Designer has many features that Illustrator does but comes at a significantly less cost. The keyboard shortcuts feel familiar and the toolset provided makes it easy to create, update, and export vector graphics.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

There are only a few features like raster tracing that are missing.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity Designer is providing top-class vector design software to a subscription-based world for the traditional up-front cost.

  ### 2. Raster graphic editor for pro editors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pallav M. | Audit Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity Photo is a direct competiton to adobe photoshop where we get amazing tools like digital painting, raw editing and retouching. The best past part is that there are no subscription costs involved.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Although there are no subscription costs involved, but it has a one time payment model with subscriptions like $21.99 for the apple ipad and $54.99 for the windows operating system. This may be cause of resistance to new graphic designers who can not shell out such amounts in the beginning.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides great photoshop/ graphic editing tools at a very cheap price when compared to bigger rivals like adobe photoshop. I use it for advanced picture editing where retouching of images is generally required.

  ### 3. Best Adobe Alternative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

With Affinity Designer, I was able to create designs and mock-ups that I need for my small business

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

With the Mac OS version, some minor quirks need to be straightened out.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is my main go to with graphic design

  ### 4. Great photoshop replacement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ran M. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Probably the fact that I don't have to pay for Adobe on monthly bases anymore. The simple fact is that anything I needed in photoshop is available for me in Affinity photo on a small one time payment for lifetime.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

What's not to like? Obviously, this is a fairly young product related to Photoshop -some features are missing and others are not quite the same workflow as in Photoshop, also sometimes you can get into a bug or so - but that happens ( a lot) in Photoshop as well.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing photos for Social media promotions mainly, but also simple personal hacks like refining scanned documents. One major benefit is the Ipad app - this is amazing for traveling.

  ### 5. Affinity Photo is like having 90% of Photoshop at 10% Cost of Photoshop

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filip G. | Web Designer / Developer / Seo Monkey, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Program is incredibly robust with features and handles many things considerably better than Photoshop. Perhaps the icing on the cake is that its ridiculously cheap as you purchase the license once, and you own the program.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Some functions aren't too intuitive compared to Photoshop. Perhaps Photoshop has a copyright on those functions but you will definitely meet several features that feel a little clunky. Despite this setback, it is still 100% worth getting yourself Affinity Photo. For me this is a 9/10 type of a product.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Go on YouTube and enjoy the tons of content made for this product.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Web Design, Print Design and banners is what I used Affinity Photo for. 90% of my time in it is for web design purposes. Performance wise I do as well with this app as I did with Photoshop, and the savings is a huge plus.

  ### 6. Sorry Adobe Illustrator. Affinity Designer is the new leader in vector software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alberto D. | Co-founder and Creative Director, Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2016

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

In a fast driven society we need fast software that we can relate to. When Graphic Design industry started to be the center of visual communications Adobe offer the best alternative for Photography Editing and Aldus Freehand was the best app for vector illustration. Today Adobe products still alive for their reputation but in reality the software is outdated and slow and on top of that is based on subscription membership. Serif offerings as Affinity Designer is over the top high end creativity software for vector illustration that doesn't need a subscription membership and it's not expensive either. Affinity Designer is better than Adobe Illustrator and it also got you covered with adobe formats in case you need to work on old projects too. If you want to work with the best tool of this era. Affinity Designer is the only honest option.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

When Affinity Designer started being my app of choice, I remember saying, "The only flaw (but not for long) is that you don't have a mobile companion yet" Today, that flaw doesn't exist. Most of their apps are available in mobile, and they are full desktop experience designed.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Do the switch and start amazing yourself... again!

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aside from illustration and Graphic Design Affinity Designer is the perfect tool for today's needs in app development and website creation. Problems with UI/UX and working mock up are things of the past with all unique features that let's you edit multiple graphics at one and see how will look on the final product before release it.

  ### 7. A worthy replacement for other well known photo-editors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason K. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

As an animator, I use Affinity Photo daily for image editing. Previously a long-time PS user, several years back, I looked for a non-rental option. After some research, I settled on Affinity Photo and have been very happy with it ever since. It's fast! I haven't run into any issues preventing me from doing what I wanted to do when working with textures or tweaking final renders.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Not much to dislike! It took a little while to get used to the way layers are handled, and I'm still not 100% sold on the way alpha channels work, but these are workable issues and not serious problems for me.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By making use of Affinity Photo, and the other complimentary Affinity programs, I have managed to eliminate my need for rental-model software. As well, the program is just fun to use and, for the most part, quite intuitive.

  ### 8. Great for publication and editing for both digital and physical literature

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan B. | Email Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

This program pairs really well with other Affinity programs. Publisher makes it easy to take images, documents, and everything else created in other Affinity programs and fit them to whatever literature you are trying to create.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

It is easy to start creating something in Publisher to skip a step of using other Affinity programs; however, you quickly notice some in-depth features you would get in something like Affinity Photo are missing.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publisher helped us create literature to hand out to clients. It was a great resource to plan out trifolds and anything else we used to educate our client base.

  ### 9. Great alternative without a subscription model

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity is compatible with all common formats and can be purchased once. This means there are no monthly costs, which is practical if you are currently less involved in image editing.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

An auto-update function is unfortunately not available yet, and you have to download the installer again each time. An automatic solution would be ideal at this point.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity Photo serves me as a full-fledged Photoshop replacement. Sure, some features are still missing, but the software is continuously being developed and supplemented with features.

  ### 10. Great alternative to Adobe for the fraction of price

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan D. | Founder, CEO, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

A great alternative to Adobe Illustrator without any subscriptions and annual plans for the fraction of price, has everything I need to work with vector graphics and does the job perfectly. Slick-looking and packed with all the features a today's designer would want from such software. Very easy to learn just on your own and with lots of video tutorials online. Another great thing about it is that it can effortlessly open and read Adobe files from PS or AI, while also being able to save to PSD, so working with both programs or collaborating with other colleagues that use AI or PS is super easy. It also makes the transition from Adobe Illustrator to Affinity Designer very smooth considering that you don't have to worry about not being able to open your older AI files anymore.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

The performance isn't that great when working with larger files and documents though it has improved significantly with the latest updates. Occasional crashing happens when also working with larger files.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Just buy it, definitely worth the money.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly and effortlessly creating vector graphics and saving a lot of money by not having to annually pay to Adobe. Just paid a little bit over 50€ and couldn't be happier with the purchase - they also have several 50% off sales throughout the year so you can get it for even cheaper.

  ### 11. Awesome, Affordable Adobe Illustrator Alternative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayla K. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity Designer is almost a perfect replacement for Adobe Illustrator. It has nearly all of the same tools. The best part is that you pay a one-time fee for the software license and get all of the updates. No subscription fee.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

The only major tool that Affinity Designer is missing is image trace. You have to use the pen tool to manually trace images, which takes a long time. Granted, Adobe's image trace is hit or miss, but at least it's available.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kreativ Alchemy is a graphic design agency, so we deal with vector graphics all the time. My partner and I both have older Macs, and Adobe was running slowly and crashing frequently. We didn't want to be roped into a subscription model for unreliable software. That's why we switched to Affinity. We have been able to increase our workflow speed and efficiency. We've designed all of our logos, graphics, website mockups, etc. in Affinity, no problem.

  ### 12. Brilliant package - Does 80% of Illustrator for a fraction of the price.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ranju S. | Bookkeeper, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

It does all the essential aspects of Illustrator for a fraction of the price. It's a lot snappier to use than Illustrator and feels more fluid and fast. The interface is also more straightforward with less clutter.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

It doesn't have all the features of Illustrator. For example, there is no eraser. And selecting nodes is a little tricker. But they keep on adding new features for Free all the time, so I expect that these missing features will be added one day.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

It has a 30 day trial. So you can use that and see if it is right for you.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for making graphics and marketing material. It is a fast and snappy product and so makes me more productive. It also supports all formats and so makes it very flexible.

  ### 13. A great budget friendly alternative to Photoshop and Illustrator

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yulia L. | UX/UI/Web Design Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I decided to try Affinity Designer after several foreign colleagues told me that they had completely switched from Creative Cloud to Affinity for a simple reason: all the basic features that are used in 2D design and photography are available in Affinity for a one-time fee, not a subscription like in Creative Cloud. That is, a lifetime license to Affinity costs the same as a month's use of Adobe CC. It's a great savings in the long run. Affinity has a full suite of tools for creating graphic illustrations, logos, banners, and even UX elements. It can be used with a graphics tablet and even on an iPad. You can find a huge number of templates or brushes on the Internet, not as many as for Photoshop, but enough.

The main feature of Affinity is that it allows you to create vector and raster images, all in one.

Affinity Designer is compatible with Illustrator, Photoshop, SVG, Portable Document Format (PDF), and several other formats.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

From what I noticed, complex files can cause the software to become sluggish, even on high-end laptops. The transition from Adobe products can be tricky. Affinity also lacks some useful features like gradient maps, 3D effects, mockups, etc. There aren't too many tutorials available, and the customer service is not very responsive, so you have to rely on the community.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Affinity Designer is a great alternative to Photoshop for amateur designers, but it's also used in design studios around the world. It's an excellent tool for its purpose. If you're just starting your design journey, be sure to give Affinity a try.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Affinity for personal design purposes but went back to Adobe CC products because my employer pays for them. I used Affinity to create simple illustrations, web icons, and other graphic elements.

  ### 14. A solid alternative to Illustrator but lacking some powerful features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew H. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I like that there is no subscription and that you can just buy it and use it forever. It also has some polish to it that free competitors such as Inkscape lack. I like their focus on "non destructive" editing.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

There are a few powerful features that I have run into that are missing in Affinity Designer that are present in other similar software. The first is the inset/outset that is in Inkscape. It is also in Illustrator by some different name but basically lets you take a shape and "dilate" it outwards or inwards. There is a workaround for Affinity Designer, but it has been years, and at this point I don't think it will ever be included. The other is the ability to "flatten" a stack of shapes. This is something that illustrator can do that allows you to make sure you don't have any overlapping geometry or redundant lines.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used it to create game art that I've exported to use in animation software and inside of game engines. I have also used it to edit and export .ai files sent to me by artists using Illustrator. I have also used it to create stencil designs for custom frisbee projects.

  ### 15. Create and edit high quality graphics without paying a costly subscription

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith E. | Web Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

We've created logos, website graphics, icons and more, and happily gave up the costly subscription to Adobe. It's very intuitive to use and export files of all sort, and we can open files from other editors like Illustrator and Photoshop when a designer sends them to us.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Some things that were simple to do in Adobe products are not quite as simple in Designer. An example would be removing a background from a photo. Technically that should be done in Affinity Photo, but it's the same problem. Exporting isn't an exact science either. If you are sharing a file with someone who doesn't have Designer, you'll need to make sure what file type they need so you can export it properly. Importing and exporting can leave some strange artifacts from time to time. But they're pretty easy to fix.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create, edit and update logos, vectors, icons and website graphics in Designer. I've also made T-shirt designs that came out very nice. Most of what we do would be considered basic to intermediate level and we haven't gotten too far into any advanced design concepts. We can export in multiple file formats and sizes, which helps make sure we have what we need to use files in different use-cases.

I love that we can set color profiles and we have one set up for each client. It makes graphic creation so much faster and streamlined, never having to guess at or lookup color codes. We also save graphic elements for each client in assets folders so we can reuse content and stay on brand.

  ### 16. Has some quirks, but a really great value compared to others

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James H. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Way less expensive than Illustrator with most of the same features. If you're currently using Inkscape like I was, it's more than worth the one-time price to move up to Affinity Designer.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Controls are small, and there doesn't seem to be a way to increase their size. I've had some trouble working with vector shapes that seemed easier in Illustrator, but there's a steep learning curve so maybe I just need to spend more time in the tutorials.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Spend a few hours in tutorials and guides. If you jump right in without doing some training first, you'll probably get frustrated.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing, creating, converting, and generally working with vector graphics. Affinity is great because I don't have to pay a monthly subscription like I would have to with Adobe, and I work in it just often enough to justify the perpetual license price.

  ### 17. Best Vector/Pixel Graphics Tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John D. | Director Of Strategic Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

After years of using Adobe products, Affinity Designer's modern take on the user interface and tool functions is a breath of fresh air.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

The one thing that I dislike most about Affinity Designer is that I did not know about it and start using it sooner!

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

You should give Affinity Designer a go if you are frustrated with Adobe Illustrator running slow, its ancient UI and toolset, or the monthly subscription. All Affinity products are one-time purchases and provide regular updates to add features or fix bugs.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity Designer is super fast on my 2020 MacBook Pro M1 and has become my go-to app for creating or manipulating vector graphics. It can open common file types like EPS, SVG, PDF, AI, and more.

  ### 18. Powerful and Cost Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | Technical Training Material Development and Publications Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Adobe products are good but expensive and on a subscription-based model. Affinity is just as good, is a fraction of the cost, with a perpetual license. I use it for book covers, graphics design, and other ad pieces, nothing terribly demanding, but it works well, is as intuitive as it complex software can be, and is every bit as good as Adobe.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Really, nothing. It's like buying a car for $100 that works as well as a Nissan for $20,000. Each Affinity product is around $50 dollars. I can buy the whole suite for a perpetual license as I can for a single year of Adobe Cloud subscription and still have enough left over to buy a new refrigerator.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Book cover design can be complex. Running a boutique publishing company that makes very little money means saving money is important. Designer is just as good as InDesign and Photoshop and a fraction of the cost.

  ### 19. Excellent alternative to other design tools on the market right now

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo A. A. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

If you are tired to pay monthly subscriptions to be able to illustrate this is for you, because you only pay once and unlok everything you need to make your designs with the same tools of adobe illustrator.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

If you are vey used to illustrator it will make some time to adapt to the interface, and maybe you will feel a little bit limited by the features, but only if you are very very used to illustrator.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best part of this software is the life time licence that you have included in the price, is not a monthly subscription so is an excellent deal, perfect to beginers.

  ### 20. PDF editor for those who don't need Illustrator

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlo B. | professor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I searched for a replacement of Intaglio, that has gone out of business. Adobe Illustrator is overkill for my needs, Affinity Designer has just the right combination of ease of use and functionality.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

No way to select objects based on characteristics (like all objects of the same color, or same stroke width). This is a major time saving functionality when editing plots, and it's unfortunate that Affinity Designer lacks it.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I typically edit plots produced by other software, like Mathematica or Python plots. Rather than messing with the labels I just throw them into Affinity Designer and use a LaTeX tool (LaTeXiT) to import labels in the font I use for text. This creates publication quality figures.

  ### 21. Simply love it!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** André N. | Réalisateur ARRQ, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I love the way it works with the other 2 Affinty apps. Not a subscription, like Adobe.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

I'm not good enough compared to other people! ;)

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

They often offers promos, buy all 3 Affinity app

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replaces Adobe Illustrator, easier on the budget, great for graphism

  ### 22. Amazing Vector Editing - Beats Illustrator by a Mile

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill K. | Customer Education Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Analogous to Illustrator with some excellent features that I feel work better at a much lower price point.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Some actions/commands could be made simpler.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Can't recommend this enough. The full suite of Affinity tools is getting closer to Adobe and the cost savings are enormous. There isn't much difference, at least at the level we use it, to make a case for anything but Affinity.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Affinity Designer to create vector graphics, often by users who don't really have extensive training with vector editing. It is much more user-friendly than Illustrator at a fraction of the cost. This makes it more valuable to us.

  ### 23. A Great Alternative to Much More Expensive Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity Photo is a very powerful piece of software. I am able to work with Affinity to create images like I would create with Photoshop. It's a really good Photoshop alternative that is very affordable.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

There is a fairly steep learning curve with Affinity Photo. I often have to search online to find certain features that I want to use and to figure out how to use certain features I want to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

I think this is the best Photoshop alternative. The software has many features, but comes at a one-time price instead of an ongoing subscription.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Affinity Photo to create several book covers for printed and ebooks that I have written. Affinity Photo has enabled me to create the covers myself instead of having to hire a book cover designer.

  ### 24. Affinity : all in one photo editing software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nayan s. | graphic designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity is one of the best photo editing software due to its ease of use. It provides layer-based editing for a non-destructive workflow. Panorama, HDR merge, 360-degree image editing are very useful for professionals.
The main feature is that it does not require you to take a subscription every month, only you have to buy it one time and use it limitlessly

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

I have been using this software for the last 8-9 months, but I don’t think there is any problem with this software except that we can’t be able to add a custom workspace .
But it is totally worth of money.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best thing which I like most is that it Supports various file types on import and export
And you can also Save commonly using settings as presets, use default presets, which saves both times and effort. I highly recommend this software if you want to edit photos like a professional

  ### 25. A Solid Tool!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian O. | Digital Fundraising Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

The ease of access and the ability to find the necessary tools quickly!

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Lack of tools and features found on other photoshop software.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to make quick and easy photoshops for marketing purposes.

  ### 26. Perfect Editing Software for the price

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cori F. | Educational Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I have been using Affinity Photo for about a year now. I use it for a variety of tasks including custom social media images, personal edits, and more. I am not a professional graphic designer and just need a software for editing that is better than the basic free softwares out there. I love that Affinity Photo does everything I need while not charging me a monthly fee. I love that Affinity will upgrade the software when new versions come out without making you repurchase the software.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

There was a learning curve when I switched from the more expensive software but that could just be me, not the software. As far as I can tell, it's not missing any features that I need to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Watch some YouTube videos to see the differences between Affinity Photo and other softwares. Features are there, just in different spots than you may be use to.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity Photo makes it easy for me to remove backgrounds, layer images to resize parts while holding others. I am able to create professional looking images for a variety of purposes. I have learned more benefits by watching YouTube videos.

  ### 27. Affinity Photo offers a wealth of choices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathleen W. | Publisher/writer/owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I like that Affinity Photo has so many options to edit and improve your photos. I use Photoshop and Affinity seems to offer more filters.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity Photo is sometimes hard to understand. I have had to experiment to see whether I want to use in navigator or filter options.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

It's a good program but complex and had a learning curve.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It creates beautifully layered photo combinations. For a time my Photoshop wasn't working so I was creating layered images with Affinity Photo.

  ### 28. Best alternative to the Adobe InDesign, Easy to use and learn

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

The pricing model for sure would be the best thing about the Affinity Suite tools, and after that, how easy they are to learn,

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

I don't have anything I totally dislike about the tool at this time.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Someone recommended the whole Affinity Suite to me due to budget restraints so, I will pass on the recommendation as well. It is a powerful tool that will do most of what Adobe products do, and you don't need to break the bank. It is also constantly getting updated so that you never miss out. Video tutorials are available if you need them.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Affinity Publisher has helped me create many different publications both digitally and for print, from business cards to presentation boards; it makes creating these items more manageable, especially with the ability to jump from the Publisher Persona to the Photo or Designer in the same document.

  ### 29. Great alternative to Adobe!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian C. | Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

My favorite thing about Affinity Designer is the assets window. This allows for adding vector assets to any project quickly and easily. I also love that it is the one-time price with no subscription. The software is excellent for vector art.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

The learning curve coming from adobe can take a minute, but well worth the time invested into learning. There are options within Affinity Designer that seem hidden that should be within the software's main window.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Take advantage of the asset window by saving vector files to assets for future projects.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Affinity Designer for logo design and also t-shirt graphic design. It has given us an affordable option without spending out budget on a subscription software.

  ### 30. An outstanding alternative to Adobe Illustrator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David V. | Corporate Pre Sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity Designer has a very similar interface to what is AI.
This program is a One time purchase, so it lowers operational costs by a lot.
It is very easy to understand and to use, very intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

there are not so much I disliked; it is an excellent option to replace AI
Something to note is that for now, you don't have a lot of plugins for this program, but it is changing fast as more people use Affinity Suite by the day.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

There may be a lck of brushes or plugins but this is changing a lot because the dev team at Affinity and its comunity is improving this

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem solved by using Affinity Designer is the advantage of not having to pay for a monthly subscription like it happens with all the Adobe Creative Suite

  ### 31. Professional Level Editing for a Budget Friendly Price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole F. | President, Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I needed an editing software that would allow me to manipulate images, do advanced graphic design, create new graphic images, as well as create SVG files. You can import from standard programs, such as Adobe, and have a huge range of export options. The functionality is on par with industry leader Adobe, yet the price is affordable for even those on a limited budget. I appreciate that like Adobe I can work in layers, which allows me to modify the images yet still retain the original, as well as compare how applying different effects impacts the final image.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

I wish Affinity had a more robust help solution. While they have videos on youtube, and you can purchase a great resource book, there isn't an active live support offered by the company. If you are someone who wants to be able to ask a live person for specific assistance and feedback Affinity would not be a good solution for you.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My primary use for Affinity Photo is graphic design. I needed a solution that would allow me to manipulate images, utilize all my purchased fonts, play with different ideas and not lose the original image, create new graphics and patterns, as well as create an SVG file that could be used for custom cutting. The software has saved me a great deal of time, allowed me to create professional grade images, and has fit well within my budget.

  ### 32. Finest photo editing software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinay t. | Managment incharge, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity is all in one photo editing software which offers all necessary features. you can edit images, create logos, icons in this . It is fastest and smothest image editing software. Easy to use. It is easy to learn for beginners due to it's user friendly interface.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

There is nothing much problem in this software only I have face little bit problem in graphic Designing . Adobe Photoshop have more powerful graphic editing features as compare to it, but overall performance of affinity is good and worthy of the money

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It help me to save my time and require minimum effort.i can also edit AI ,EPS ,PSD files in it ,It is easy to use & fast image editing software. It is cheaper option as compared to Photoshop and doesn't required monthly subscription, pay only once.

  ### 33. Easy to Learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I never did photo manipulation or editing before joining this group. But this was the program they use and it was really easy to learn! I've tried using GIMP before, but it was confusing, frustrating and quite buggy. This ran great and I made some awesome art with it.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Zooming in, everything gets super pixelated, and it made me think the image was ruined at first. It looks fine when I export it but it was still annoying. I wish there was a way to toggle that off or something.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

See if you can find a tutorial or buy the workbook from Affinity. I had someone teach me, and that helped me get up and running faster.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm mixing up photos and making fun images for t-shirts, posters, and other products for an online store.

The way that layer groups work makes it easy to keep multiple versions of a project in one file.

  ### 34. Full-featured vector design software at a great price point

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark L. | Freelance Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

This isn't a subscription-based software platform. That's what I appreciate most about Affinity Designer. Moreover, the price tag is beyond reasonable given the mature and comprehensive feature-set it offers. While I'm not a professional graphic designer, I do ask a lot from a vector graphics software package. Affinity handles it effortlessly and (more importantly to me anyway) intuitively. The learning curve is surprisingly manageable for a piece of software with so many bells and whistles. It also works seamlessly with Affinity Photo, further expanding the kinds of workflows you can perform in the Affinity ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

This is a minor issue, and I'm definitely showing my age, but the contextual advice text at the bottom of the screen is eye-shrivelingly tiny. I'd love the option to enlarge that typeface. Beyond that, Affinity Designer is notable for the attention it invests in building a great user experience.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using Designer to build logos and website assets that can be enlarged to any size without quality loss. I'm combining Affinity Designer with Affinity Photo to create hybrid workflows involving photo retouching and vector elements.

  ### 35. The Illustrator killer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Quick to learn. Focuses on the tools you need without cluttering the UI or your workflow. Does everything important that Illustrator can do and is snappy, fast and not bloated.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

There is the ability to do minimal but functional editing to photographs, but the designated protocol is to jump out of Affinity Designer and into Affinity Photo to do higher level editing, then jump back in.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very fast workflow without the bloat. Great bridging between the other apps in the suite : Affinity Photo & Publisher. Very memory and processor efficient. Infinite zoom!

  ### 36. Best illustration and graphic design tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** shivani b. | Article Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

It is similar to other design tools like Adobe illustrator but it is cost-friendly comparatively. Moreover here you have good control over the assets that you work on and a bunch of other features of a design tool. It has a very pleasing UI too.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

The major drawback is that work can not be exported to other software for editing like say adobe illustrator or photoshop or other tools. Some tools are missing in this software comparative to others.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

If you are an illustrator and looking for a cheaper alternative then you can try this one.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to make illustrations, graphic design, logo design, and other design work. I also make use of it to make small elements of design works and its pretty easy to use this software.

  ### 37. A Small Learning Curve, But Well Worth It

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher R. | E, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

InDesign Projects can be easily imported (by saving it as an index file) allowing you to own a license for publication design, without having to recreate everything from the ground up. Plus, it costs way less and goes on sale often, while offering all the same features.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

There are different terms and locations for the functions you may be looking for, so you'll need to give yourself some time to get used to the program. Stuff like making Master Pages, then adjusting those Master Pages on an individual page (due to needing to hide a page number, or adjust the color of a border) is present, but how you get to it is very different.

But a quick search will catch you up or bring you to a full-scale tutorial, so it isn't that big of a problem.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

If you're a former user of InDesign, make sure to save all of your projects as index files (look it up, there are various articles on it). This will save you a load of time.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I design tabletop games, so this is letting me design print-to-order cards, and full digital books. While I was using InDesign for this, not having to worry about a monthly bill or dealing with the glitchiness Adobe Creative Cloud suite is a weight off my mind.

  ### 38. Close Illustrator Alternative

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

My favorite part of Affinity Designer is that it is a close alternative to Adobe Illustrator. It is not a 100% replacement, but it is getting there. They have made a conscious effort to be mindful of the habits built up from years of Adobe use, and made the transition as seamless as they could.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity Designer is missing some key features of Illustrator that keep me from ditching Adobe completely. There are very few object warping effects for instance, and I use those a lot in Illustrator. It comes down to what features you use most and which you don't. A lot of the hotkeys are slightly different, but that is minor. They are their own program after all, so maybe it is unfair to judge them as an Illustrator clone.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

It is definitely worth giving their free trial period a go. It can take some time to get used to the changes, but if you give it an honest try, I expect it can work for a lot of use cases. Perhaps it will allow you to drop an expensive Adobe subscription as well.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem we are solving with Affinity Designer is trying to get rid of our numerous Adobe subscriptions. They are expensive and endless. The costs add up with multiple seats in our business. We wanted to try the Affinity suite to see if we could do without Adobe in any of our day to day operations.

  ### 39. Best photoshop alternative in the market for designers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Biki D. | Head Of Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity helps me to design quick digital goods easily. Before Affinity Photo I was using Adobe Photoshop which was quite costly for a user like me, but with Affinity photo it is just a one time purchase and you are good to go.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

THe User interface could be better because sometimes I feel I like I get lost when it comes to finding some hidden tool, also variable features from photoshops are missing.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving my day to day designing works, creating digital arts and doing lot of photo editing on the go, the iPad app lets me use affinity from my iPad, really cool cross-platform support.

  ### 40. No Subscription Adobe Challenger

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian I. | Digital Illustrator, Designer & Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

The immediate up side of they refused the predatory Subscription model in favor of a one time payment for each product, for life, with updates included. The handful of adobe illustrator extras are not missed and I'm confident, based on past Affinity updates, that they'll catch up quicker than expected. On this of that, many plugins and brushes and such for Photoshop can be used in Affinity, even if you have to tweak one of two settings to make them work perfectly.... They still work even though they are made for adobe products!!

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Honestly, from the customer service to the tutorials and extras they offer their customers and others, it's difficult to find any faults. Particularly when taking adobe's subscription decision into consideration. I suppose the only down side is that they need a little time to catch up to the feature adobe has created, but I expect they will surpass adobe and even create better features that will reduce adobe's customer base by a surprisingly significant amount in the short term.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Get them!
3 products:
1 Affinity Photo (Photoshop rival)
² Affinity Designer (Illustrator rival)
³ Affinity Publisher (InDesign rival)
$50 per product (they half 50% off sales very regularly, so I paid $25 for each)

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The first problem that was solved (and their entire raison d'être) was the fact that adobe takes advantage of their loyal customers in favor of profits, so Affinity and the Serif team has that problem solved elegantly.
The Affinity Suite (3 products only ... For now) gets an upgrade every few weeks and the upgrades are spectacular and free to paying customers, which is why I fully expect them to loosen adobe's vice grip on the design and illustration industries.
Affinity is so amazing that work flow between my affinity products and a client's adobe systems produces no significant issues. Even if a minor issue occurs in the transfer of a file, say, or the compatibility of something, a small tweak takes care of it. Adobe should be worried for the next few months of Affinity updates.

  ### 41. Great vector design program for beginners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I was brand new to the world of vector art. The UI is fairly intuitive and the help articles are informative.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

As helpful as I found the help articles, I wish there were even more!

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

The software often goes on sale—take advantage of the great price!

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I specifically needed to create vector designs to send to a cutting machine for my business, and Affinity provided the perfect software without a subscription.

  ### 42. Does what we need without the endless subscription

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike H. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

As stated above this program has the layout tools we need to make flyers and the like, but it is a one time pay perpetual license. if they were to change that and try to go subscription, I would seriously reconsider using this product. as it is, it is a very good value for money.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

I can't say for sure if this is as fully featured as its competitors MS Publisher and Acrobat, but it does all that we need. the only dislike I have, really is that sometimes files that are created in another program, Like MS Publisher, sometimes open in affinity publisher with minor formatting issues that have to be fixed. Text isn't quite lined up where it was, things like that. This isn't every time or even most of the time, just occasionally. It happens just enough to mention in case you are using this as something to open and edit other people's MS Publisher or Acrobat files. If you plan on working in one program beginning to end, it won't be an issue.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This fills the need of having a cost effective platform for creating both our print an online advertising media without the drain of an endless subscriptioon.

  ### 43. Affinity photo is a great budget-friendly application for editing photos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

I like that I can do pretty much anything I can in Adobe PS, but for a lot cheaper! It is very powerful and is easy to learn. The tools are easy to get started with, but become quickly become powerful the more you learn!

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

I wish it was a little bit easier to customize different keyboard shortcuts. I find the default keyboard shortcuts aren't that useful and require a complete custom setup to actually be useful.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

It is a great alternative to Adobe PS!

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to quickly and efficiently edit screenshots for my job. It allows me to handle various photos at once, save them locally, then export them to third-party sites.

  ### 44. Excellent Vector Software for Designers, Artists and Illustrators

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Navaneeth M. | UI/UX Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

It's superfast, smooth and powerful vector software. User-friendly interface and familiar with other software in the market, like Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
One-time purchase at an affordable price.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

If we can export it as an Adobe Illustrator file will be a great advantage for the designers. Other than that, I have not found any difficulties with the software.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For people who can't buy or afford Adobe products, this is the only and the best alternative option for designers to acknowledge.
We can design and create stuff for various creative requirements with one software.

  ### 45. Great tool for Biggeners and Easy to use

I like the graphical interface that you can easily use to enhance the picture and photos. The ease in saving with different formats makes it perfect for both printing and digital.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

some features are hard to find and one has to search for them. But overall a great tool. I would recommend some suggestion options in case problem will a great help

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I regularly use it to enhance photos and graphics. This includes post-production, after photoshoots session, and preparing grahpics for presentations. This tool helped us to increase our performance.

  ### 46. Great Alternative to More Expensive Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron S. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity is for the most part, easy to use. It is also very affordable!

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

It is missing some features that other image editing software have, such as the ability to easily remove a white background.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Check out Affinity Designer (and Affinity's other products) before purchasing more expensive options. Affinity Designer will likely meet your needs!

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Affinity to design and edit logos and images for my clients.

  ### 47. Fantastic full featured Publishing Program with No subscription!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David T. | Editor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Has all the power and features of Adobe inDesign without the monthly fee.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

Learning curve was steep but lots of instructional videos online along with support groups.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

The company offers a free trial or all three of their products. Try it. you'll love it. Tons of YouTube videos out there.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publish a quarterly full color newsletter for the Maine Appalachian Trail Club. Affinity publisher has all the features I need and more! Plus it integrates seamlessly with Affinity Photo and Design.

  ### 48. Excellent and powerful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Very west to learn, especially if coming from InDesign or other publishing suite. Able to collaborate with colleagues who use WIndows whereas I use a Mac. Much better than a subscription model. Pairs well with Affinity Designer and Photo

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

All good, though I hope they add footnote capability.

**Recommendations to others considering Affinity Designer:**

Affinity Publisher more than likely does all that you want and more. I have found Publisher excellent for designing and producing professional print quality product documentation, scientific posters, and marketing materials. Similarly, Publisher would be excellent for magazines, and glossy 'coffee table' books.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Excellent for marketing material, brochures and instruction manuals. Basically everything I used InDesign for before.

  ### 49. Affinity Designer useful for figure editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Options to group objects, text, panels for standardization. Many options for color palette, text shape, shadowing, and other aspects of visual design. "Undo" feature very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

The layering and lasso features are difficult to use for beginners. Some tools are nested under others, and thus difficult to access if a user does not know the organization of the platform.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Affinity Designer to edit graphics for papers and other forms of communication. It allows more custom options and detailed changes than the platforms often used to create the figures (e.g., coding languages such as R or python).

  ### 50. Awesome Illustration Design Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JJ G. | User Experience Designer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Affinity Designer?**

Affinity Designer is a fantastic design and illustration application which includes three modes: vector, pixels, and persona. It's very intuitive with an excellent grid and guides tool. It loads fast in comparison to other illustration premium tools.

**What do you dislike about Affinity Designer?**

It's difficult for me to say that there is something that I dislike so far about Affinity Designer. I'm a user of Adobe Illustrator; however, since 2020, Affinity Designer has turned into my favorite illustration tool.

**What problems is Affinity Designer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Affinity Designer to create illustrations, diagrams, logos and occasionally for UX prototyping.
