"Simple but super useful upgrade"

What do you like best about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

What I like most is the flexibility compared to стандартні Jira boards. We use column grouping and WIP limits daily, and it really helps us spot bottlenecks faster and keep work flowing.

Swimlanes are also very useful — we separate tasks by type, which makes standups much clearer and saves time. Overall, it improved visibility across the team and made our workflow feel much more structured without adding complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

Some of the advanced configuration options take time to fully understand, especially if you’re not deeply familiar with Kanban practices. It’s not difficult, but there’s a bit of a learning curve at the beginning.

Also, it would be helpful to have more ready-made templates or presets for common workflows — that could speed up the initial setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Kanban board Jira should ship with"
4/5
What do you like best about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

Sub-tasks on the board. That's the main thing for me. In default Jira boards sub-tasks live somewhere inside the parent issue and you have to click in to see what's actually being worked on. This app just shows them on the board next to the parent, so I can see the real state of a task without opening anything. For a team that breaks down work into 4–5 sub-tasks per story this is a huge difference day-to-day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

The settings panel has a lot of options and the first time you open it, it's not obvious what does what. Once you figure it out it's fine, but I'd recommend looking at the docs before configuring your first board instead of just clicking through.

Sometimes the board takes a couple of seconds to refresh after you move a card, especially if you have a lot of sub-tasks visible. Not a blocker, just noticeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear Cross-Project Release Visibility with Powerful Kanban Boards"
5/5
What do you like best about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

What I like best about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards is the clear cross-project release visibility combined with powerful Kanban boards and WIP limits. It makes it easy to track progress, avoid bottlenecks, and keep teams aligned. The release calendar and automated release notes also save time and improve communication across stakeholders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

What I dislike is that the interface can feel complex and overwhelming at first, especially for new users. Some configurations, like setting up workflows or customizing boards, take time to fully understand. Additionally, performance can occasionally slow down with large projects, and certain advanced features are not always as intuitive as they could be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential for taking Kanban in Jira to the next level"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

The combination of column groups, advanced WIP limits and aging limits has given us very fine‑grained control over our flow, and the custom ordering makes priorities crystal clear for the whole team.

The flexible swimlanes are a real strength: we can represent different classes of service, types of work or teams without having to wrestle with Jira’s standard configuration. Adoption was quick, the learning curve was very reasonable, and the team has naturally incorporated it into their day‑to‑day work. Since we started using it, visibility of work in progress and bottlenecks has improved enormously, and our continuous improvement conversations in Kanban sessions are far more concrete. What do you dislike about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

So far, I honestly haven’t found anything I dislike about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards. On the contrary, every feature I’ve used has improved the way we visualise and manage our work in Jira. If I run into any limitations in the future, I’ll be happy to update this feedback, but at the moment the app fully meets (and even exceeds) my expectations. "Advanced Agile Boards Brings True Kanban Flow Management to Jira"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

Advanced Agile Boards is the best—if not the only—solution I’ve found for bringing true Kanban practices to Jira. It adds the level of visualization and workflow management that Jira simply doesn’t provide out of the box. With flexible board configuration, advanced WIP limit management, aging indicators and aging limits, and dependency visualization, it becomes possible to manage work as a system rather than just track tasks.

What I especially appreciate is that these capabilities aren’t merely “nice visual enhancements.” Without rich visualization, clear aging signals, and advanced WIP management, it’s much harder to spot bottlenecks, catch flow problems early, and make informed decisions about improving delivery performance. These features keep teams focused on flow efficiency and predictability, instead of only monitoring task status.

The product is also supported by excellent documentation and outstanding customer support. The team is highly responsive, listens closely to feedback, delivers improvements regularly, and resolves issues quickly when they come up. I’ve evaluated many Jira apps over the years, and I genuinely haven’t found another Marketplace solution that offers the same depth of support for Kanban practices and flow management. What do you dislike about Advanced Kanban & Agile Boards?

Configuration can sometimes be a bit puzzling, especially in more advanced cases, although about 90% of the time it’s simple and straightforward.

That said, the configuration experience feels significantly different from regular Jira boards. Keeping it more similar would help lower the learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
