Charts are nice and easy to copy paste to present it to a client. New version is more user friendly. You can see competitor ads (real ones as they screengrab them) for certain periods of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Adthena? Apart from the competitor ads and spend charts they provide the rest of the functions are pretty useless. Keyword research can be done with keyword planner, they don't show keyword overlap for particular keywords, estimates are a bit finger in the air and you cannot custom choose data range. At an agency we need to show competitor activities for our clients. It is good to see other competitor ads for the selected time frame. The software/application is easy to use has a wealth of functions. It provides great insight to the market place you choose and the information available is broad as is deep. I have used this software for many years on and off in different roles and is the first thing I go for in this arena when in roles. you set up the system to follow competitors and search terms then it provides share of voice, adverts that appearing at the top and being clicked, times of day so any gaps and opportunities can be flagged up and filled, the cost and spend levels of your competitors, brand terms being used by competitors plus alerts and daily bite sized reports scheduled in to arrive in your inbox, keyword mining, keywords competitors were using the success they were having and the gaps A lot of information to use, but it is structured in a way that makes it easy to use. The one thing is the level of information and the capabilities can initially seem/potentially seem a tad overwhelming, but there is always helpful support available and is straight forward once you going. Recommendations to others considering Adthena: Adthena is an application/tool I would recommend without fail. there are other similar tools on the market place, but from experience they are nto as comprehensive and dont have the background and experience to the same levels. IT can take a bit of time to set up and for the tool to start crawling to come back with the results, but it is worth it and will make a positive impact without question on your Adwords account and campaigns. The principle idea of using this was to gain inside knowledge of the very competitive nature of the businesses I have worked in. The spend level and importance of the ROI is key and the tool enabled this. It allowed for re-structuring of campaigns and the addition of many terms that were missing to target them head on and gain business.
