One of the main limitations is the rigidity in how information must be loaded. In some cases, the process must be followed strictly step by step (e.g., Step 1, then Step 2) for the auto-reconciliation to work properly or for certain actions to be triggered. The searching capability in Cadency is not as user friendly as other financial applications we use. It's also a bit difficult to tell what has been loaded to the system as everything seems to be on the back end instead of on the interface. Implementation was very simple, we switched from blackline to cadency relatively quickly and the customer support team was there to help answer any questions during our transition. It is easy to use and during month end, most of the team is in the system daily monitoring their task lists. Post close, we are performing and reviewing reconciliations daily, through the middle of the month. The features available contain everything that we would need from a reconciliation and task list perspective. Depending on what information you need for reporting, may have to combine elements from two different reports. Only allowed to select certain fields depending on the type of report your are running.
