Conceptually a good product, but hard to get people to adapt to. **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Roxane L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2023 **What do you like best about Trintech?** It was great having all reconciliations in one place. Additionally the checks and balances ensured that all balance sheet accounts used had a reconciliation tied to them - making for great completness checks when it came to audit. Keeping to a timeline and the email reminders about reviews/recs being due was helpful. The system was easy to use and easy to implement. The 'binder' function was also helpful and made supplying documentation to audit formal and uniform. **What do you dislike about Trintech?** It was more time consuming for the users to input their recs and there was a big change management curve for reviewers to have to open individual links/tabs to see all the back up. Many users continued to do the recs 'their way" and just upload the back up as a single PDF which turned the system more into an electronic inbox than anything else (at an expensive price tag). We never certified the system for SOX so I feel we did not get to take full advantage of what it could have offered before we decided to change directions. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was helping us to solve our need to get everything in a single place, electronically, without all the paper and hand tick marking of reviewing the reconcilations. ### 3. Cadency - a decent product **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Anthony M. | Finance Manager II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2022 **What do you like best about Trintech?** The software tool serves as a nice repository and does help keep you organized **What do you dislike about Trintech?** I wish Cadency had a select-all feature when using BAM (Bulk Account Maintenance) rather than having to select items one at a time. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cadency works as a repository and helps keep our organization organized. It also helps us keep our workloads down with risk based tools and assessments. ### 5. Cadency is helpful with reminders about when tasks are due but if they are late, it is very pushy. **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Jessica G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2023 **What do you like best about Trintech?** Cadency close is helpful with reminding me when tasks are coming due and, lets me know when people are done with theirs. For Cadency Recons, the application helps with making sure the amounts reconcile between two sources which is helpful to making sure the correct numbers were calculated. **What do you dislike about Trintech?** With Cadency close, if you are late on a task, we were getting about 3+ messages a day reminding us, even on weekends and holidays, which clog up our e-mails. For Cadency Recons, the system will reconcile some of our recons for us, which is great when there hasn't been a change quarter over quarter, but it has just started reconciling items where amounts change quarter over quarter. Also, prior to a recent update, we would be shown how many of our recons were not started or complete, now it seems to be showing the whole company's and it makes it harder to navigate to our own specific reconciliations. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cadency is helping to remind us when tasks are due and letting others know when we have completed specific tasks, if they are dependencies. Not efficient use in each window according to where the buttons are placed. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** No problems, but taking the month end closing into the web and digital solutions. ### 7. Good for organizing information and minimizing friction. **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Joseph G. | Internal Auditor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022 **What do you like best about Trintech?** The most helpful thing with Cadency is the solution it provides for organizing financial information in one place and reducing the need to interrupt subsidiary contacts resulting in increased productivity. **What do you dislike about Trintech?** Communicating with Cadency support staff has been historically difficult but as of recently their communication has improved but interacting with their customer support personnel could be more pleasant and less difficult. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cadency solves issues with have with tracking and storing financial information from many subsidiary businesses and putting it all in one place, which led to increased productivity and easier access to needed information. **Official Response from Ashley Barnhart:** > Thank you for your feedback. I would like to be able to easily download a matrix of user assignments and workflows. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** It alleviates need for someone to manually email and keep track of controls and close procedures which cuts down on a lot of work. ### 13. There should be a dictionary of what different symbols mean, etc. Also, it should be more intuitive than it is today. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** Good overview of what accounts have been reconciled and not. Currently, the number of emails is not something that can be deactivated in Matcher, but features are constantly being added to Matcher in connection with suggestions and feedback from our customers. If you have the opportunity to add this suggestion to our idea portal, other customers can vote on the proposal. Then we see that there are several who feel the same way as you, and we can allocate resources to work on this. ### 15.
