All in one platform. Payroll and HR assistance as well as Work comp coverages for a lower cost in comparison to quoting it out as a small company are very nice to have all in one place. The work force platform does not give as many details the old view with regards to being able to assists our employees - for example I can no longer rest passwords or view log in ID's. Instead we have to call in to the 800 number. The 800 number doesn't seem to be all agents in the USA any longer which takes more time as well to communicate. It is very straightforward and simple to use. Its mobile application is easy to download and use as well, so it is very mobile-friendly, fast performing, and beneficial if you are out and on the road as well as easy to use while on a laptop. It has a lot of information, so although it is easy to find what you need, depending on your role, it may be a bit overwhelming. Also, with ADP being such a large company, with a bit of a monopoly on the market, getting support can be a bit of a hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I find most helpful about ADP TotalSource is that it keeps payroll, HR, benefits, and compliance all in one place, which saves me a lot of time. I also like that it gives my employees access to good benefits and an easy way to manage their own information. A few downsides I've noticed are that it can be more expensive than using separate payroll or HR tools, especially for smaller businesses. It also takes some time to learn all of the features and get everything set up. I like ADP TotalSource for its ability to connect to benefit servicers and the employee self-service platform. It ensures that benefits are enrolled correctly based on what the employee has signed off on, eliminating paper trails to benefit providers. The only thing I can think of with ADP TotalSource is the higher cost compared to other providers that offer similar services. It's not really an issue with ADP itself, but our property management system or dealer management system does not connect with our payroll providers, which makes us do double the work. The simple answer is the people. I deal with so many "representatives" and ADP has an environment that fosters follow through. Processing the payroll is easy, adjustments are made as needed. Some of the messages are cryptic, when an issue is flagged by the system. I would prefer the simple explanation, so that I may hand it off to someone else. While I have been doing this for 25 years, not everyone has. We do not take advantage of integration, as a small company not needed. The reporting is good, unless you need specific, then figuring out the choices is at times problematic. The Marsh site can take time to get "custom requirements" for certificates. I don't really like the user interface a lot, I think it's very confusing, very difficult to navigate when you need support. Things are in different places. Things tend to move around a lot. There's not a lot of guidance on if a process has shifted what you're supposed to do. You have your HR business partner, but then you have these other people that you talk to about separate things, and it can get very confusing. And, you know, when you call if you try to call, you get somebody, but that's not really your dedicated person. So I think all of that stuff could be improved. The Tax Department. Getting answers from them can take literal months. This creates issues with state filings, and we are often charged interest for late filings. Not to mention, for some reason, ADP set up some states with employees home addresses as the contact address, instead of the main company address and trying to get that fixed has been a nightmare.
