The preset options for the most common use cases make Media Encode overall quite useful. The ability to set custom profiles is also very useful when you need to render many projects to the same specification. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Adobe Media Encoder? When you launch it to render it takes ages to load, you then have to wait a lot more for the encoding job to load into the app. This is on a Macbook Pro M1 Max, so not a slow machine. Media Encoder often fails to connect to the dynamic link server where it gets the metadata for the presets. You click the encoding options and it gets stuck in infinite loading. Why does it have to contact the server on every launch? If it can't contact the server, why can't it let me use the existing settings? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Media Encoder offers the basic parameters for encoding required for most day-to-day tasks (ads, YouTube videos, social media posts), and does it all relatively quickly when it's not having issues.
