What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I appreciate the flexibility of tokens and program templates — once you build a solid program structure, you can clone and localize it across regions or campaigns without rebuilding from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The UI feels dated and clunky compared to newer tools, the learning curve is steep, and reporting is limited — you often need Bizible or an external BI tool for meaningful revenue attribution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful automation, but problems on iPad"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like the capabilities of extensive automation and good handling of large databases in Adobe Marketo Engage. I can set up different trigger funnels and synchronize with various databases, which allows us to consolidate all the information about our clients. This flexibility helps in setting up personalized funnels to increase conversion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The market is poorly synchronized with the iPad tablet, the entire interface is misaligned, and it is impossible to use it on the iPad. This is very inconvenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like Adobe Marketo Engage's automation and flexibility. After setting up, there's no need for manual intervention as it works smoothly and makes our tasks easier. I also appreciate how structured it is, keeping campaigns, lists, and data organized, which is very helpful when handling multiple campaigns. It integrates with other tools, making daily operations smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The one thing about it that the UI is quite hard to understand while using for the first time. Also, reporting should look more user-friendly when viewing insights. Initial setup was quite hard for me, and after some time and lots of trial and testing, I finally understood how it works, so for me, now it is smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust B2B Marketing Automation, But Steep Learning Curve"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I really appreciate Adobe Marketo Engage for its depth and flexibility in handling complex B2B use cases. It's incredibly valuable for B2B marketing automation and lead lifecycle management. Marketo Engage helps us manage multi-channel campaigns effectively. The segmentation, triggered workflows, and CRM syncing capabilities are essential for our operations, significantly improving our sales alignment. I find the reporting and attribution features really useful as they help us measure real pipeline impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I find Adobe Marketo Engage's usability and setup complexity challenging. It has a steep learning curve, and building or modifying workflows can take a lot of time without experienced users. The reporting feature feels a bit less intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I rely on Adobe Marketo Engage for keeping our marketing alive by sorting leads and making it easy to send follow-up emails at the right time. It acts as a backbone for our marketing team. I like having lots of control over automation, with the campaign, lead scoring, and segmentation functions performing well once set up. The integration with our in-house CRM maintains data alignment and allows us to see genuine engagement. I also appreciate the flexibility of Adobe Marketo Engage; the automation can handle high-volume data without a single mistake. The automation and CRM integration smooth our workflow, keeping the whole process efficient and structured. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Some of the features of Adobe Marketo Engage seem slow when working with large files or complex workflows. It takes time to get used to their interface, and some features seem very complex. Sometimes minor adjustments call for additional steps. Reporting could be more user-friendly. The user interface, especially with the campaign builder, requires too many clicks for minor tasks. Campaign and lead sections could load more quickly. A better search across assets would also save effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Marketing Tool with Some Email Design Drawbacks"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I find Adobe Marketo Engage to be a huge time saver, especially when we need to reach specific customer segments efficiently. I love being able to personalize newsletters for our diverse customer base, making it easy to draft various elements like titles, headlines, and add images. Regardless of the team you're on, whether it's marketing, sales development, or customer success, it's very easy to reach a large audience without spending hours sending individual emails. I appreciate how Adobe Marketo Engage integrates really well with our Optimizely Content Marketing Platform and Outlook. Also, I value the process where in Product Marketing, I work closely with our COps team to generate drafts and send out test emails, which helps us catch any errors before reaching out to our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I don't like the email format. It clearly looks like a spam email and doesn't look personal. It's got so much white space on the sides. I wish it just looked like any normal email format. The email template format is not the best. It should fill the screen like any normal email looks like. Instead it almost looks like the template intentionally makes the email in small font and skinnier than a standard email. It looks like a 'mass send' kind of email. We don't want our customers to feel that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I enjoy the powerful automation capabilities of Adobe Marketo Engage that let us build complex, multi-step customer journeys with precision. Its flexibility in creating smart campaigns enables personalized communication based on real-time behavior, which boosts engagement and drives measurable pipeline impact. I appreciate that the automation removes tedious, repetitive tasks, allowing us to trigger communications automatically and ensure timely, relevant messaging. This kind of automation offers consistency and reliability, delivering the same quality experience to every lead and customer, regardless of timezone or campaign volume. I also like how Adobe Marketo Engage integrates well with our sales, CRM, analytics, and data tools, which helps unify data, aligns marketing with sales, and improves reporting accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I dislike how the interface feels outdated in places and requires multiple clicks to complete simple tasks. Navigation between assets like emails, landing pages, lists, and campaigns isn’t always seamless, and finding the right element in large instances can be time-consuming. The platform still feels like a combination of older tools stitched together, particularly in areas like Marketing Activities, Database, and Design Studio. Many tasks involve navigating through deep folder structures or opening multiple windows. Finding specific assets like emails, smart lists, or campaigns in a large instance is often difficult, as the current search and filtering options are limited. Additionally, needing to open separate tabs for editing or previewing assets breaks the workflow, making the process less efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust B2B Marketing Tool with a Steep Learning Curve"

What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like Adobe Marketo Engage because the automation and lead scoring are solid, which really helps manage complex B2B workflows efficiently once set up. It saves a lot of time by automating follow-ups and filtering out low-quality leads, allowing the sales team to focus on leads that show genuine intent. Additionally, it integrates well with our CRM, landing pages, and analytics tools, which is essential for tracking leads and campaign performance from start to finish. We switched to Adobe Marketo Engage because it is built for B2B marketing and can handle more complex campaigns as our team scales. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The UI feels dated and not very intuitive and it has a learning curve. Simple things can take longer than expected, especially for new users. Navigation could be simpler and more modern and common tasks should take fewer clicks. Better in-app guidance or onboarding would also help new users get up to speed faster. Honestly, the initial setup was not very easy. Setup took time and needed proper planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
