What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

One of the benefits of using Marketo is that it lets you slice and dice your data to pull out the reporting insights you’re looking for. It also makes it easy to use tokens and personalise emails at scale, so your messaging can stay consistent while still feeling tailored. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

It can be complex depending on the complexity of your marketing campaign e.g., personalising for different audiences and using different distribution groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Marketing Automation for Scalable Lead Nurturing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

It is really strong when it comes to automating marketing workflows at scale. What stood out to me most was lead nurturing and campaign automation. Once the logic is set up properly, it helps reduce guesswork around which leads are actually worth attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The UI feels dated in places, and there’s definitely a learning curve. It’s one of those tools where simple things can feel harder than expected until you understand how the system thinks.

Debugging automation flows can also be frustrating when something doesn’t behave the way you expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Flexible Automation and Analytics for Complex Customer Journeys"

What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

What I like most is how flexible the platform becomes once you get the hang of it. The smart lists, segmentation, email automation, and integration capabilities are genuinely powerful, and it really shines when you’re managing large databases and more complex customer journeys. I also appreciate how detailed the analytics and campaign tracking are, since they make reporting and ongoing optimization much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

there is definitely a learning curve. The UI can feel a bit dated in some places, and new users may need time before they become comfortable navigating everything. Some tasks that should feel simple can take a few extra steps initially. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Campaign Automation and Lead Targeting with Adobe Marketo Engage"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Using Adobe Marketo Engage has significantly improved the way I plan and execute campaigns. The automation workflows are among the most valuable features. By setting up nurture streams, leads can move through the funnel automatically based on their behavior, which saves me hours each week compared with manual follow-ups.

The lead scoring and segmentation tools are also especially useful. Rather than sending broad campaigns, I can target users based on engagement, job role, or past interactions. For example, segmenting by content downloads helped increase email engagement rates because the messages felt more relevant.

Another major benefit is its integration with CRM systems. Syncing data between marketing and sales helps ensure qualified leads are passed along in real time, which reduces delays and improves conversion rates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

UI / UX

The interface can feel dated and unintuitive, especially for new users. Moving between sections like campaigns, assets, and analytics isn’t always clear, which can slow down day-to-day work. For instance, finding specific smart campaigns or editing existing flows often takes multiple clicks and some digging. A more modern, streamlined layout with a clearer hierarchy, along with stronger search functionality, would make the platform easier and faster to use.

Integrations

Marketo integrates well with major CRMs like Salesforce, but some integrations still require substantial setup and ongoing maintenance. Sync delays or field-mapping issues can occasionally affect campaign accuracy and reporting. Expanding native integrations and simplifying the setup process—particularly for non-technical users—would reduce reliance on admin support.

Performance

There are noticeable slowdowns when loading large datasets or working with complex smart lists. This can hurt productivity, especially when deadlines are tight. Better overall responsiveness and shorter load times for high-volume accounts would make a meaningful improvement.

Pricing / ROI

The platform is powerful, but the pricing can be hard to justify for smaller teams or organizations with simpler needs. Some capabilities also feel gated behind higher tiers, which limits access to the full set of features. More flexible pricing options or modular access to features could improve the perceived value.

Support / Onboarding

Onboarding can be difficult because of the platform’s complexity. Although documentation is available, it can be dense and not always beginner-friendly. More guided onboarding, interactive tutorials, and role-based learning paths would help new users ramp up faster. Support response times can also be inconsistent, which may delay resolution when issues come up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Convenient All-in-One Platform with Occasional Lag Issues"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I use Adobe Marketo Engage for email sending and list uploading. I really like how easy it is to set up what we need in one platform. I appreciate how we can use everything under the same place, like not having to migrate the emailing, the sends, and the people under the same curtain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Sometimes when the smart lists don't come as thorough as we would want, or in other cases where Marketo lags so we aren't able to approve programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Email Marketing with CRM Sync, Needs Speed Boost"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I find Adobe Marketo Engage to be a powerful tool for sending emails and syncing with CRM systems. It really connects well with our databases and allows us to create smart lists of our targeted email audiences, which is essential for our events and nurtures. For a large enterprise like mine, it's the email marketing platform to use with our systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Landing pages can time out, and there's a slow load time. It also has limited analytics for emails and landing pages. I don't like that my work won't save if emails or landing pages time out. It would be helpful to have more auto-save features built in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The usability is a bit overwhelming in the beginning because there's so much to learn. The interface feels a bit outdated and not always intuitive, which slows me down while trying to move quickly. "Enterprise-Grade Automation With Deep Control"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

What I like most about Adobe Marketo Engage is its power and control for B2B marketing automation. It handles complex lead management, scoring, lifecycle tracking, and multi-step nurturing far better than lighter tools, especially for organizations with long sales cycles and multiple touchpoints.

The flexibility of smart lists, smart campaigns, and tokens makes it possible to build highly customized automation while keeping it scalable. Marketo also integrates deeply with Salesforce, which allows sales and marketing to stay aligned around lead status, scoring, and attribution.

Overall, Marketo is extremely reliable once it’s set up properly, and it gives marketing ops teams the precision they need to run sophisticated programs without constant engineering support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Adobe Marketo Engage has a steep learning curve, especially for new users or teams without dedicated marketing operations support. Many powerful features aren’t intuitive at first, and it’s easy to build inefficient or fragile automation if best practices aren’t followed.

The user interface also feels dated compared to newer marketing automation platforms, and some common tasks require multiple steps or workarounds. Additionally, performance can slow down in large instances with heavy data volumes, and reporting while flexible often requires significant setup to get meaningful insights.

Overall, Marketo is extremely powerful, but it rewards experienced operators and can feel unforgiving for smaller teams or those looking for quick wins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
