Adobe support has been excellent in my time using Marketo. They're very responsive and have a robust library of resources and documentation. There is also a great community of users posting questions and helping raise the bar across the industry. Marketo has some out of the box integrations with top platforms like Salesforce & Microsoft Dynamics, but it its also easy to set up for other solutions through APIs or Webhooks. I really like Adobe Marketo Engage's ability to upload a PDF of an email design and automatically create a customized template. This feature was especially helpful when we switched over from Pardot because we didn't have to manually rebuild all of our commonly used templates such as newsletters and webinar invites. What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage? I think the UI needs a lot of help. It looks incredibly out of date and behind where its competitors are. For me, the biggest strength is how flexible it becomes once you really get into it. You can build out fairly detailed campaigns and control exactly who receives what and when, which is ideal for more complex marketing setups. The segmentation is strong, and being able to trigger actions based on behaviour makes a noticeable difference. It also integrates well with CRM systems, which helps keep marketing and sales aligned. We use it heavily to track engagement and campaign performance, and the reporting is solid enough to act on rather than just glance at. Once everything is set up properly, it scales very well—especially if you’re working across multiple regions or managing several product lines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage? It’s definitely not the easiest platform to get started with. There’s a noticeable learning curve, and some parts of the UI feel dated or not very intuitive. Even simple tasks can sometimes take longer than you’d expect until you get used to the way everything is set up. The initial setup can also be fairly involved, especially if you’re integrating it with other systems. In my experience, you either need someone internally who already knows what they’re doing or you’ll want external help to make sure it’s configured properly. I’ve also found that it can be slow at times, particularly when working with larger datasets or running more complex campaigns. Lead nurturing, follow-ups, and campaign flows can all run in the background once they’re set up. It’s also useful for making our communication more targeted. Rather than sending the same message to everyone, we can tailor it based on behaviour or where someone is in their journey, and that’s improved engagement. The CRM integration helps too, because sales gets better-quality leads along with more context. Overall, it’s saved us time and made our campaigns more consistent and easier to measure.
