"Powerful but with room for improvement for SMEs"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Journey Optimizer?

I really like Adobe Journey Optimizer for the combination of real-time data and operational simplicity. The instantly updated data allows me to activate highly relevant messages without having to wait for synchronizations. The Journey Builder is quite intuitive, allowing me to see the flow at a glance and intervene easily. I find the reusable content fragments extremely useful, as they save time when I update promotions or service notifications. The centralized management of consent and profiles is a great advantage, especially for SMEs with scattered data. The ability to test and monitor journeys while they are active allows me to optimize them effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Journey Optimizer?

Speaking honestly, as a consultant who uses it every day with medium-small businesses, there are some aspects that I think could be improved or that do not always work smoothly. Here are the ones I notice most often: 1. Slowness of the interface at certain times. When I manage complex journeys or many assets, the editor sometimes becomes a bit heavy. Nothing blocking, but it can slow down daily work. 2. Report management is not always straightforward. The metrics are there, but they are not always organized in a super intuitive way. For certain SMEs that want to immediately see "what worked," I have to prepare external dashboards. 3. Journey debugging could be improved. Understanding exactly why a profile does not enter a journey, or why a condition does not activate, is not always immediate. More clear diagnostic tools would be needed. 4. Email editor is a bit rigid. For most cases, it's fine, but when I need to create more particular layouts, it is less flexible compared to dedicated editors. For an SME that wants a more "custom" design, I may have to intervene multiple times on the code. 5. Initial configurations are not exactly "light." For a small company starting from scratch, the setup part on AEP and connecting data sources can take more time than expected. Once everything is configured, it's fine... but the start is not exactly plug-and-play. 6. Management of decisioned content is not always easy to explain to non-technical teams. The logic is powerful, but for those working in pure marketing, it can be complex in the early stages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Complex Yet Powerful for Streamlined Customer Journeys"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Journey Optimizer?

I like the combination of real-time data activation and flexible visual journey orchestration. This lets me reduce irrelevant messaging by reacting to what customers are actually doing right now. It allows me to create more contextual experiences because journeys evolve based on real signals, not assumptions. I can optimize faster since I can visually test, adjust, and monitor journey paths in one place. I can also scale personalization without creating dozens of disconnected automations across separate tools. This blend of real-time activation plus visual orchestration turns complex customer interactions into smoother, smarter journeys, which is what ultimately makes Adobe Journey Optimizer valuable to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Journey Optimizer?

I find the complexity and learning curve of Adobe Journey Optimizer daunting. The platform can feel overwhelming, especially when setting up journeys that combine data, events, decisions, and content. It takes time to fully understand how all components interact.
