"Professional Designs Made Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

I use Adobe InDesign for most of my graphic design work, and I find it user-friendly. Everything I create looks professional, which I really like. The ability to work in layers and create master pages saves me a lot of time because I don't have to repeat elements on every page. It's awesome that I can use many fonts for my designs, helping me meet my complex graphic design and marketing needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

The fonts sometimes don't link up correctly with Creative Cloud. Also, the AI feature occasionally changes things that I didn't select, like cutting a line of text in a certain place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It gives me the power to creatively lay out text and images in a way that works well for both print and online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

Not much to add. I use it every day, and it consistently exceeds my design needs. Every so often I run into minor glitches with screen rendering, but they’re easy enough to work around and don’t get in the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Consistent Presentations"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

InDesign is one of those apps you think you won't need until you use it. For years i've concentrated my work on Illustrator and Photoshop, until the day I had to use InDesign and it all changed. InDesign is light on your computer, it allows you to create layouts for pages, place images from other softwares and also work with Adobe's Library, creating an live ecosystem where you can organize your work for better presentation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

Sometimes my fonts aren't recognized by InDesign and I have to restart the app after reinstalling the font, also, the Package action don't always embed all the used files in the folder Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"InDesign Delivers Smooth, Highly Customizable Template Design"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

InDesign is an amazing tool for designing templates and documents, and it provides a high level of customization to fit different needs and styles. When working off a Mac it works smoothly and never run into performance problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

You can’t edit files on network shares. The lack of support for a basic function like this, and having to rely on local copies instead, has created complications for some of our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"InDesign Makes Brochures and Layouts Fast with Great Templates"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

Indesign is a great tool to create nice looking brochures, layouts, pages, and pdfs. It has awesome templates and can make the layout process simple and fast. It's a great return on investment. You can also convert pdf and revise the layouts. A great feature if you can't find the pdf's orignal file . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

It can seem a little intimidating to use at first with the abundance of menus and features. Once you familiarize yourself with the tools, you can edit pretty quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It Is Still the Most Reliable Tool for Long Form and Print-Ready Design"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

When working on documents that need to look polished and consistent, Adobe InDesign feels dependable. Page layouts, master pages, and text styles make it easy to manage large documents without losing formatting control. I regularly use it for brochures, reports, and multi-page designs, and the precision it offers for typography and spacing is hard to replace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

Performance can slow down with very large files or heavy image usage. The subscription pricing may also feel expensive for users who only need it occasionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly Professional Designs with InDesign"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

I appreciate the ease of use of Adobe InDesign. I started my design career with InDesign, and I loved that I was able to create professional-looking pieces even with limited experience. Now, as a professional designer, I'm able to do so much more with the system. InDesign allows me to create pieces for clients that are of professional and of printable quality, even on incredibly large scales. I can export in whatever format a client needs, and I really like the integration with other tools like Photoshop and Illustrator to get exactly what my client needs in their design. The software's user-friendly nature allows me to be more creative, and no matter what a client needs, InDesign's ease of use makes it possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

I wish there were more of an integration with Illustrator, but Illustrator really does provide the ability to do anything InDesign can't. In my opinion, you have to use the two in tandem if you're going to be a professional designer. There is a little bit of a learning curve with InDesign, especially if you're used to another system. Adobe tools don't have exactly the same functionality from app to app. I don't prefer to use InDesign on a laptop. I find the experience is far better with a desktop and traditional mouse and/or a tablet with a smart pen. It's hard to get the control you need on a traditional laptop with a trackpad. Besides some gaps in the functionality that are solved easily by integration, there isn't much to complain about with InDesign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unmatched Flexibility for Dynamic Content Creation"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

I appreciate Adobe InDesign because it allows us to create reusable templates for our email ads, product catalogs, and brand guidelines. I love how it makes content editing flexible and efficient, enabling us to tailor experiences to different customers or markets without needing to hire graphic designers or ad agencies. It's great that I can alter graphics using other Creative Suite tools like Photoshop and Illustrator and seamlessly integrate them into my InDesign templates. The setup is extremely easy with Adobe Creative Cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

The only thing I can say about the program that is negative is that it is a little hard to learn in the beginning. I wish there was some more packaged templates you could edit without having to have a full understanding of the extent of the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Adobe in-design"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

The software is very flexible for creating pdf designs for client approval, digital and print outputs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

I would like In-Design to offer a complete web design interface as I am familiar with all the settings and toolboxes. A design possibility like XD but the designer can actually build and launch the website, thus omiting the need for developers.

This would be the future, today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Design Tool with a Steep Learning Curve"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?

I like the layer elements in Adobe InDesign. It allows me to take a graphic design and split it into different layers, enabling adjustments to each layer independently. This functionality means I can treat each element in an image as its own editable component without altering the entire image, providing a high level of control and precision for complex graphic design projects. Adobe InDesign also stands out for its extensive functionality and control, offering a variety of options that go beyond simple graphic design functions. I find Adobe InDesign to be best in class for projects that require advanced control and a multitude of elements, making it an essential tool for more detailed and intricate designs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?

I find Adobe InDesign really hard to use. Despite its powerful functionality and control, it comes at the cost of being unable to just jump into it intuitively. Even after six months of use, I still feel like I'm struggling with it. Furthermore, the tutorials provided by Adobe are quite complicated, making it even more difficult to learn. It's tailored for those who are great at graphic design, and for others, it can be very intimidating. Additionally, during onboarding, we had trouble getting Adobe to recognize everyone's account in our organization, leading to inconsistent access. The software's complexity made it challenging for us to get up to speed with even the basic functions. It's not a program you can quickly start using; familiarity is essential.
