What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Adobe Illustrator is a very efficient tool for creating vector graphics. I mainly use it to create logos and identity designs and sometimes for illustration. The tool has an iPad app that is very fun to use as well. I also like to use it to draw sometimes.

It integrates with other Adobe Creative Cloud apps, which is convenient when working across multiple platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

The subscription model can feel a bit pricey, especially if you’re starting or don’t use it daily. Also, the software hangs whenever I try to design anything in 3d and sometimes crashes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I often design vector graphics, and many tools available in the market are lacking when it comes to details. Adobe Illustrator offers you some great tools like pen, brush, blend, etc.

Although it has the 3D feature as well, I prefer to use the blend tool to create 3d shapes, which with gradient effects can create many beautiful illustrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Adobe Illustrator is my go-to tool for creating clean, scalable graphics for our marketing materials. Its vector-based design ensures crisp, high-quality visuals that can be scaled for everything from web use to large signage, while the ability to use multiple artboards allows me to organize entire campaigns in one file. Seamless integration with other Adobe apps like InDesign and Photoshop streamlines my workflow when developing brochures or product guides, and I love the customization options, including brushes and 3D plug-ins that help me experiment with textures to highlight our hardwood designs. Illustrator's precision alignment tools, grids, and smart guides are especially valuable for ensuring all elements are perfectly aligned, reflecting the craftsmanship of our furniture. Overall, it offers the flexibility, precision, and professional quality needed to bring our sleek, sustainable designs to life. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

While Adobe Illustrator is an essential tool for my work, there are a few aspects I find frustrating. The learning curve can be steep for beginners, with a multitude of tools and options that can feel overwhelming. It can also be resource-intensive, causing occasional slowdowns or crashes, especially when working with complex files. Additionally, some basic functions, like image cropping or working with multiple layers, feel less intuitive compared to other Adobe programs, which can disrupt the design flow at times. Despite these drawbacks, its overall capabilities still outweigh the inconveniences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

Adobe Illustrator solves several key problems for me as a graphic designer and marketer. First, it addresses the need for precision and scalability in design. Its vector-based format ensures that graphics like logos, product illustrations, and marketing visuals remain crisp and clear at any size, whether for a small social media icon or a large billboard, which is crucial for maintaining brand integrity. Additionally, its robust design tools allow for detailed customization, helping me experiment with various textures, layouts, and colors that reflect the high-quality craftsmanship of our solid hardwood furniture. The multiple artboard feature keeps my projects organized, enabling me to manage various campaign elements within a single file, saving time and ensuring consistency across all platforms. Ultimately, Illustrator enhances both efficiency and creativity, enabling me to produce professional, on-brand designs that elevate our marketing efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lastly, the subscription model through Adobe Creative Cloud can be expensive, especially for freelancers or small businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Adobe Illustrator is how precise and flexible it is. The vector tools are great for making anything from detailed designs to simple logos, and everything stays sharp no matter how much you resize it. Plus, it works really well with other Adobe apps, so it’s easy to move between projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

What I don’t like about Adobe Illustrator is that it can feel a bit overwhelming with all the tools and features, especially if you’re new to it. It also tends to be pretty resource-heavy, so it can slow down your computer if you’re working on a big file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

What I like most about Adobe Illustrator is that we can implement new drawing styles at a vector level, and this helps us apply it in various media, both digital and print. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

What I don't like about Illustrator is that there should be more extensions to make the work easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problems I perceive are that there are some tools that should already be updated, mainly having an online library of brushes and being able to modify them more easily without having to take as many steps as before. It benefits me in that I can look for other alternatives, and that has led me to find artists who share their brushes or vector graphics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

Illustrator is a highly complex software with many tools and features, which can feel overwhelming to new users. Mastering it can take time, especially for those without prior design experience Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

There is a lot i can use Adobe Illustrator for as:

Creating artwork that needs to be resized without losing quality, such as logos, icons, and illustrations, is difficult with raster-based software.

Benefit: Illustrator’s vector-based structure allows me to create clean, scalable graphics that retain quality at any size, from business cards to billboards. This is essential for delivering high-quality assets to clients and maintaining design integrity across mediums.

Managing multiple design versions or assets in a single project can get messy in simpler design tools that lack advanced layer or artboard functionality.

Benefit: Illustrator’s multi-artboard and advanced layer management features streamline my workflow, allowing me to handle complex projects efficiently. I can experiment with variations, organize my assets, and work on multiple components simultaneously within a single file, which saves time and keeps projects organized. What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?

Illustrator has any design need that I require. There are different user presets that allow for more of a beginner's or expert's preferred interface. It is quite intuitive, and when it is not, there are always prompts that you can click for a quick instruction. It works better than anything I've used in the past, which is nice because it is a product that I use everyday. I've only had to reach out to Customer Support one time and they were quick in getting me a solution. Illustrator easily integrates with all other Adobe products and can be implemented to anything you could imagine. Illustrustrator is great for work or just as a hobby designer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?

While it can be nice for beginners, there is still a bit of a learning curve to utilize all of the neat tools that Illustrator has to offer. But there is access to all sorts of tutorials provided by Adobe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?

With being a restaruant owner, there are large costs in creating menus, signs, logos, etc. By utilizing Illustrator, I am able to save tons on design costs and I am guaranteed to get the design I want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Adobe Creative Cloud?

I like that there are some AI tools that kinda work sometimes. Adobe Express shows promise, if they ever get it to work right or expand it beyond hair salons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Creative Cloud?

The tools are always being "upgraded" to push aside the things you really count on in favor of useless things you don't need. It is so clear that new releases are based on the wet dreams of programmers and zero customer feedback. It is well known that customer service and support has been on the decline for years. OK, its hard to find good people these days. But I would prefer that they simply got rid of support instead of using these horrible people who lie to you and hang up on you and are rude and are not empowered or trained to do anything at all. Why waste my time and play games to anger me, just tell me to deal with no support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Creative Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

I create marketing materials with Adobe CC, but not easily and not without a lot of frustration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
