What​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ I love the most about Adobe Experience Manager is the way it leads you through the maze of website content management so neatly. I mean, even if you have a site with hundreds of pages, it still does not intimidate you because the whole thing is laid out in a very clear and logical way. Another nice thing about it is the fact that it respects the autonomy of different units and at the same time facilitate cooperation between them - the designers, editors, and developers can all be on their way without bumping into each other and yet they can collectively make advancements. The drag-and-drop editing feature is great for page updates and if you were to do it a lot, I think it would save you a pretty decent amount of time and you would not have to bug the developer for every little thing. One more advantage is the digital asset management, which is a great time-saver if you need to use the same images or documents again and again. What is more, the compatibility with other Adobe packages is a good thing, particularly when you are doing the visuals or personalizing the content. Moreover, it also supports the convention of multiples languages which is critical for worldwide sites. In a word, it is like a big website conductor that is still very much in command of the ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌show. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager? The​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ major disadvantage for me personally is that AEM is slow and heavy at times, particularly when large projects are being loaded. Occasionally, it takes a little longer than it should for even very simple actions to be done. The interface is a strong one, but it is not the most intuitive for a first-time user. Training new team members always consumes more time than you anticipate because there are a lot of features that are hidden behind the menus. Some updates or deployments may require the assistance of developers, thus it slows down when you are in a hurry. Additionally, it occasionally has bugs with components that are not loading properly in the editor. The other problem is that the upgrades can be difficult, and there may be instances where something that had worked before is not working anymore. AEM​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ is the main factor that keeps all the website content in one place which is very helpful for our team to maintain the site in a more orderly way. It is a great tool for solving the issue of inconsistent updates as the editor ensures that everything is kept structured and organized. In addition to that, we can also say that it helps us in publishing content at a much faster rate as developers are not required for every change. One more advantage of the system is that brand assets become consistent as we use the same approved images and layouts throughout the entire website. Moreover, AEM has brought great changes in our workflow as now more than one person can work on the pages, review the changes, and publish them without any confusion. The embedded analytics along with the personalization options are the factors that give us a deeper insight into visitors and thus, we can adjust the content accordingly. Additionally, the system also saves time through the reuse of components instead of building from scratch. As a result, it largely contributes to the efficient management of a big website and is the reason why we can deliver updates without any ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌delays.
