I think Adobe could improve the beginner experience by adding simpler tutorials, guided walkthroughs, and more beginner-friendly documentation. I started using Adobe Experience Manager again a few months ago after trying it a few years back, and I noticed that adobe has improved many things compared to before. The platform now feels more advanced and useful for managing website content, digital assets, and workflows in one place. Earlier, handling and organizing content across different platforms could feel confusing and time consuming, but AEm helps make the process more structured and efficient.As a beginner, the main challenge for me was understanding the workflows and features in the beginning because the platform has many tools and options. But after spending time learning it, I understood why many businesses use it for content management and digital experiences. I think buyers can benefit from it because it helps teams manage content more professionally, saves time, and improves collaboration. compared to many basic CMS platforms, Adobe experience manager feels more enterprise-focused and scalable, especially for companies handling large amounts of digital content. With AI, personalization, and digital experiences becoming more important, I feel AEM can become even more valuable in the future. Beginners who want to learn enterprise-level content management can also start with it because it gives practical exposure to realworld workflows used by larger companies. I really like the drag-and-drop functionality in the Touch UI. Once our developers set up the components, it’s actually very easy for me to build out landing pages without any need to touch any code. And The Digital Asset Management (DAM) part is also a lifesaver because being able to search for an image and edit its metadata right there saves me a lot of time. What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager? The learning curve is serious. It took me a good few weeks to really feel comfortable with the authoring workflow. Also, it can be frustratingly dependent on IT. If I want to change something slightly outside of the pre-set templates, I’m stuck until a developer can build it for me. I really appreciate Adobe Experience Manager for its great user interface and user-friendly drag and drop functionality. I also find it valuable that it integrates well with other platforms such as Marketo and Drift, allowing us to create simple web chat journeys. The switch to Adobe Experience Manager offered better functionality, and it enables us to create simple user journeys without complexity. The usage of AI at the moment isn’t as good as I'd like. I like how easy it is to search via components in Adobe Experience Manager. This feature helps me cut down time on finding a component I want for a page. I like Adobe Experience Manager for its position within the Adobe suite of enterprise products. It offers scalability and performance without the need for backend management. This reduces risk for our company, expands capacity for our engineers, and allows room for growth. The learning curve was fairly low, and the documentation from Experience League has been a great resource, alongside the support from our implementation partner, Syncpoint Digital. Forms doesn't currently reference the same CSS as sites, its builder UI doesn't represent our form themes appropriately, and its ease of use struggles in comparison to competitors. I like that Adobe Experience Manager works great as a content repository, where I can look at past versions of a page from an audit perspective, view link references, and see content hierarchy. It's really helpful to be able to manage the publication of timely content and schedule launches and redesigns. I also appreciate that we can see timestamps of who last modified, published, or scheduled a page, so we can confirm the exact date and time specific content was on the page. It's also nice that this tool allowed us to switch from OpenCms since we needed a robust content management, authoring, and publishing system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager? One of the benefits, but a trade-off at the same time is the ability to customize Adobe Experience Manager to your business needs, but with that requires an implementations or dev team. I like the separation of environments like Dev, Stage, and Prod in Adobe Experience Manager, which is related to the dev pipeline and helps ensure we are deploying good and quality solutions. I also appreciate the multi-region configuration, as it's way easier than on other CMS platforms. This is particularly beneficial as we have a lot of non-American clients. I believe that on the code aspect, maybe the build could be a bit optimized, since it takes some minutes to finish and proper test. The whole mvn clean install with packages parameters can take so long to build, depending on the project size. It would be nice to have an optimized way to build the whole project. It is highly customizable and easy to train new team members to get going with using the platform. it is also providing a lot of flexibility to integrate with third party plugins and service providers. What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager? the license is a big of a headache for my team and my client's team, given it is one license per person, it poses a large financial burden. it would be really awesome if we can have shared accounts/license, different people can use the same license but limit to 1 person logged in at a time, so no overlapping on license usage. What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you? my client requires a highly customized functionality on their website and content, AEM being headless gives us that flexibility to build the feature that best serves us. and the Universal editor is exteremely popular amongst my client's editorial team, being able to see updates real time without having to publish and wait for cache to clear is a big win for go to market.
