## About Adobe Experience Manager
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is an agentic content system built for the agentic era, when brands must be discovered, cited, and trusted across human visitors and AI agents simultaneously. Unlike headless-only content management systems that solve for content availability (storing content and delivering it via API), AEM is architected for brand visibility: ensuring content performs once it reaches every surface, from web and mobile to LLMs and emerging agentic channels. What Adobe Experience Manager Is Experience Manager combines structured content management, digital asset management, agentic workflows, enterprise governance, and edge delivery in a single, natively integrated platform. Most enterprises already use AEM as a headless system of record powering mobile apps, multi-site experiences, and connected channels, while also gaining the presentation, delivery, and optimization layers that headless-only systems require customers to build or buy separately. Agentic CMS: The Foundation for AI Discovery AEM is designed as an agentic content management system. Structured, governed, fast content is what AI systems surface, cite, and trust. AEM's agent capabilities — including the Brand Experience Agent, Brand Governance Agent, and Content Advisor Agent — bring intelligence and automation across the content lifecycle: accelerating creation and migration, enforcing brand and compliance governance, and continuously optimizing experiences for both human and agentic traffic. Key Capabilities Experience Manager Sites: A modern decoupled architecture for creating and delivering personalized web and app experiences at scale, serving both headless (Content Fragments via GraphQL/REST) and full experience delivery needs. Experience Manager Assets: A digital asset management system to govern and activate assets, with native AI trained on a brand's data, voice, and creative DNA across regions and geographies. Experience Manager Forms: End-to-end digital enrollment integrated with back-end systems of record. AEM Sites Optimizer: Continuous optimization of performance, SEO, and discoverability (requires AEM Sites). LLM Optimizer: Purpose-built visibility into agentic traffic using real CDN signals, with brand-aware recommendations to improve how content is surfaced and cited by AI systems. Edge Delivery Services: Sub-second content delivery with personalization applied at the edge, built for agentic workflows where content is assembled and served in milliseconds. Experience Manager Guides and Learning Manager: Scalable component content management for documentation, knowledge, and support content, and an integrated learning management system. Differentiators Content + decisioning in one event loop: AEM integrates with Adobe Journey Optimizer and Real-Time CDP, making content decisions on unified customer profiles that draw on behavioral, transactional, and engagement signals, not on CRM records alone. Generative creation in the workflow: Adobe Firefly and generative content capabilities are embedded inside AEM's authoring environment as native capabilities, not adjacent integrations. Enterprise governance at scale: Multi-site, multi-brand, multi-language support with role-based access control, workflow approvals, and audit trails built in. Proven Results Brands using Adobe's optimization capabilities have seen measurable gains in AI-era visibility, including significant increases in LLM citation rates and AI-referral traffic, alongside improvements in page performance and organic visibility.

## Adobe Experience Manager Reviews
 ### 1. Powerful, All-in-One Dashboard for Managing Multiple Projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu J. | Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

It is honestly very powerful once everything is set up. The dashboard gives a clear overview of sites, assets, workflows and analytics all in one place, which is helpful when managing multiple projects. I liked the way it handles digital assets, having images, documents and videos all organized with metadata makes content reuse much easier.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

It’s not beginner-friendly at all. The UI looks clean, but under the hood it’s quite complex. Even simple tasks sometimes take more steps than expected. And obviously - pricing. This is not something for small projects or startups unless you have a serious budget.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of managing large-scale content across teams and channels. It’s more about organization and scalability than speed. Instead of manually handling content updates across pages, you can manage components and templates centrally. That reduces duplication and mistakes. The asset management part is also useful.

 ### 2. The best enterprise level CMS

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

The ability to manage structured and unstructured content in a unified platform—whether it’s for websites, mobile apps, or headless delivery—is a game-changer for enterprise teams. I particularly appreciate the flexibility of AEM Sites and how seamlessly it works with Adobe Analytics, Target, and Assets. Authoring is intuitive with editable templates and content fragments, and the new Edge Delivery Services offer a modern, light-weight and scalable approach to performance. AEM also provides strong version control, workflow automation, and granular permissions, making it easy to maintain governance without sacrificing agility.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

The learning curve could be steep, and proper enablement is crucial to unlock its full potential. Upgrades and deployments (especially in on-prem or AMS setups) can be cumbersome without deep AEM expertise. The UI can feel sluggish at times, and certain features—like MSM or tag management—still feel dated or unintuitive. Also, customization often requires significant development effort, which can slow down time-to-market. Licensing and support costs are also on the higher side, which may not suit smaller teams or organizations.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the chaos of siloed systems by offering a unified platform for web, mobile, and headless experiences. With AEM, our marketing and content teams can quickly roll out localized, personalized experiences without depending heavily on developers. Content Fragments and Experience Fragments make omnichannel delivery efficient, while integrations with Adobe Analytics and Target enable us to measure and optimize performance in real-time. This has significantly improved our time-to-market, brand consistency, and ability to scale globally while maintaining control over content governance and user permissions.

 ### 3. Scalable Content Management with Some Complexity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arun R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like Adobe Experience Manager for its ability to combine scalability and collaboration in one platform, allowing marketing teams to manage content independently without having to wait on developers for every change. This significantly speeds up delivery. I also appreciate the component-based architecture, which supports reusability across websites. From an analytical perspective, AEM makes tracking and measurement more standardized since the same components can be used consistently across pages. Its integration capabilities in tracking and measurement are very useful.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

Well, about Adobe Experience Manager, you know, I think one of the areas that can be challenging is the learning curve. AEM is a very powerful platform, but for new users, especially content authors or teams new to Adobe products, it can take some time to understand the workflows and features. Another area is implementation complexity. Setting up templates, components, workflows, and integrations in large enterprise environments can require significant planning and coordination between business and technical teams.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Experience Manager to manage and deliver digital content across websites in a centralized, scalable way, enabling content authors to create, update, and publish without depending heavily on developers, while maintaining consistency and integrating analytics tracking easily.

 ### 4. Centralized Content Management for Large Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praney M. | Product Design Manager 2, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I liked the level of control and organization that Adobe Experience Manager provides for large content ecosystems. Once the workflows and structure are set up properly, it becomes much easier for multiple teams to collaborate without creating conflicts or losing track of assets. I also appreciated its flexibility for managing enterprise-scale content operations. The asset management capabilities, content structuring, and permission handling were especially useful during larger client projects where different teams needed different levels of access and visibility. The asset management side reduced confusion around versioning and duplicate assets, which used to happen often. Content structuring made scalability easier, and permission handling allowed different stakeholders appropriate access, reducing publishing issues.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

One area that could definitely improve is the overall learning curve, especially for new users or non-technical stakeholders. AEM is powerful, but because of how feature-heavy it is, onboarding can feel slightly overwhelming at the beginning if teams are not already familiar with enterprise content systems. We also noticed that some workflows can become slower when there are multiple layers of approvals, permissions, or heavily customized implementations involved. For smaller teams or fast-moving projects, that complexity can sometimes feel heavier than necessary. Another thing I think could improve is the UI experience in certain admin and content management sections. Some areas feel a bit dated or require more clicks than expected for routine tasks. Once teams get used to it the workflow becomes manageable, but the initial experience could definitely be smoother.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Experience Manager to centralize content operations, providing better visibility and reducing manual effort. It handles large-scale workflows effectively, ensures consistency across regions, and simplifies asset management, making collaboration more efficient and organized.

 ### 5. Essential Tool for Content Automation and Publishing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dorothy M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I think that Adobe Experience Manager is a great tool for our organization to automate, review, and approve content and have it published to our site. I'm very excited about the amount of leveraging and better enhanced technology we will be able to utilize with Adobe Experience Manager. It has been essential in keeping us ahead in the game. Adobe Experience Manager helps us edit, review, automate, and publish our brand content and assets, delivering more variety and knowledge to our site visitors. I like that Adobe Experience Manager has made it easier to automate our home site pages with different components and fragments, keeping us up-to-date with consistently changing trends. It has made it easier on our Marketing Ops team with updates and publishing pages that we would like to highlight. It's faster and more innovative for our team and overall.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

We would like to have some of the components we use more updated and conjoined. We mostly want to improve our core components, like Title, Text and Image. Having more flexible components that a more diverse style guide would be great improvements.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Experience Manager to automate, review, and publish content, which keeps us up-to-date with trends. It simplifies updating and publishing site pages, making our Marketing Ops team more efficient.

 ### 6. Flexible Content Management, Needs Better Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris b. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like that Adobe Experience Manager is fairly accessible and certainly provides the capabilities we are looking at. It also offers the ability to be fairly flexible in the kind of content that we publish. People who work with it have commented that it lets them publish things fairly flexibly and update content readily.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I think the move from one information architecture to another is far too cumbersome and manual. I'm really astonished that Adobe Experience Manager doesn't have a tool that shows your current information architecture in a visual format and lets you easily move things into a new architecture with low human intervention. And I think that's simply not the case today.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager is our chosen platform for website management and publishing. It provides an integrated environment for complex content delivery, enabling stakeholders to contribute. It's accessible, offers flexibility in publishing and updating content, but struggles with automating information architecture transitions.

 ### 7. Efficient Asset Management with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like Adobe Experience Manager's ability to share images via links with internal customers and create collections. Providing links to images prevents overloading our servers with downloaded images and gives my customers the ability to choose the best images for their project.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

The search capability could use improvement in terms of accuracy and speed. The loading of images is very slow and it would be better if, when you select an image and open it, closing that image would take you back to where you left off in your scrolling instead of taking you all the way back to the top, where you then have to rescroll to get to where you were.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Experience Manager for organizing assets by product family, storing them enterprise-wide, and archiving historically. It prevents server overload by sharing image links and lets customers choose the best images for their project.

 ### 8. Centralized Content Management with Room for UI Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like how Adobe Experience Manager brings everything into one cohesive system for managing content at scale. It's easy to use and keeps everything organized, reducing duplication and ensuring consistency. It helps reduce operational friction of moving from tool to tool to find the latest asset and saves time on collaborating without having to recreate assets. It helps us manage high volumes of content by having everything organized and easily accessible, which also aids in repurposing approved content.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

It might not be the most intuitive tool to use at times for non-technical users. Performance can be inconsistent at times when loading assets, which could take a long time.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager centralizes all our digital content, reducing duplication and making it easier to access, reuse, and manage large content volumes. It streamlines our workflow by organizing everything in one cohesive system, saving time and ensuring consistency across channels.

 ### 9. Cloud-Based Platform with Implementation Challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paolo V. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like that Adobe Experience Manager is hosted on cloud software, which means it's not exposed to the issues we faced while using on-premise solutions. It also works well out of the box with a lot of support available online, which I find really helpful. I appreciate the higher availability it offers compared to on-premise platforms.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

Implementation was hard, and we were lead astray with technical implementation that is costing us money to fix. We ended up using foundation instead of core components, and communication regarding the differences was not clear. The initial setup took over a year, and we made mistakes such as not using out of the box more, and using foundation components.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager allowed us to move to a scalable platform, consolidating our online footprint from silos. I appreciate that it's hosted on cloud software, providing higher availability compared to on-prem solutions.

 ### 10. Powerful Centralized CMS, but a Steep Learning Curve and High Costs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh V. | Full Stack Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

What I like most about Adobe Experience Manager is how effectively it centralizes content management across websites and other digital channels. Its reusable content components, along with robust workflow features, make it much easier for teams to manage and roll out updates consistently, especially on large-scale enterprise projects where keeping everything aligned matters.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

One downside of Adobe Experience Manager is its steep learning curve, particularly for new users and smaller teams. Customization and deployments can also become complicated to manage, and the licensing costs are quite high compared with lighter CMS platforms.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager helps us manage large amounts of digital content across multiple websites from a single platform. It improves content consistency, speeds up publishing workflows, and makes collaboration between marketing and development teams much more efficient.

 ### 11. Robust Multisite Management, But Clunky Authoring UI

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like Adobe Experience Manager's ability to function as a headless CMS and integrate with custom components. This allows our engineers to build more complex components using frameworks we're comfortable with, while still giving authors a WYSIWYG-like authoring experience. I also appreciate the easy integration with Adobe Target, which simplifies setting up A/B tests that align with our brand guidelines by enabling easy export of AEM components and experience fragments to Target.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

The authoring UI can feel a little clunky, and it can take a lot of clicks to accomplish what seem like common, simple authoring tasks.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager helps with multi-site management, localization, and asset management. It lets me update content in one place and apply changes broadly. I like its headless CMS feature, custom component integration, and Adobe Target integration for streamlined A/B testing.

 ### 12. Centralized Asset Management with Configuration Challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** betsy k. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like how Adobe Experience Manager allows for central storage of creative assets, which helps in meta tagging and searching. It significantly reduces the number of assets we need to purchase or create. I appreciate its capability to share content with partners. The ability to access Adobe Experience Manager from any location is key for our users across five corporate offices, enabling the team to collaborate on content and reuse content from different locations efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

It's very tech-heavy in configuration. It would be nice if the UI was a little more business-friendly for configuration. Reporting and troubleshooting issues are also very difficult for business users.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager centralizes our creative assets, tags metadata for easy search, and reduces asset purchases. It facilitates content sharing with partners and supports remote collaboration, enhancing content reuse across locations.

 ### 13. Expedited Content Updates, But Needs UI Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I leverage Adobe Experience Manager for our company websites, and it really speeds up our marketing efforts. Content updates that used to take a lot of time and coordination with our dev team are now handled in minutes by our marketing team, allowing the dev team to focus on more complex tasks. I find it to be very organized, and its experience fragments have been huge for personalization, especially when used with Adobe Target.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

We're still on the old version of page builder, which is a bit clunky. I've been told the new version is better but we haven't been able to coordinate the update with our developers just yet.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager speeds up content updates, allowing our marketing team to make changes in minutes and freeing our dev team to tackle complex tasks.

 ### 14. Intuitive Tool for Non-Technical Users with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadera R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I enjoy the intuitive nature of Adobe Experience Manager. As a non-technical user, I'm able to easily set up content fragments and deliver in-app notifications to users. When I'm unsure of how to complete an action, the options are fairly intuitive. I also like the ease of integration with other Adobe suite products—we integrated our AEM platform with CDP and AJO to deliver targeted, personalized and segmented audience journeys seamlessly. This allows my team to capitalize on the journey orchestration capabilities in AJO and the audience segmentation and targeting from CDP.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

currently no issues with aem

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager allows me to quickly create and update content fragments for in-app messages, even critical ones. Its intuitive design suits non-technical users like me, and integration with Adobe products provides seamless audience segmentation and journey orchestration.

 ### 15. Centralized Management, But Needs Flexibility

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akhil M. | Managing Partner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like Adobe Experience Manager for its centralized location to manage and store all assets in one place. It makes the workflow much easier and allows for seamless integration of assets created with other Adobe software like Illustrator and Photoshop. I also appreciate the ability to personalize content based on user behavior as it helps understand what users actually need. The drag-and-drop features and style tools make it nice to work with and help create visually appealing content. Adobe usually has a good design sense and the sites feature has good templates and blocks to get started with creating a good looking site. Nowadays they seem to have translations as well,so that's a cool feature.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I think the flexibility is much less compared to something like WordPress. It's helpful for nontechnical people, but when you need certain features, that can be easily built with AI builders these days, it doesn't offer that. The framework is kind of restricting , and there are better tools with more specialized features. Also, the initial setup wasn't that easy, even though I'm familiar with systems like Wordpress. It takes time to get used to it and understand what it does.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Adobe Experience Manager offers a central location for managing and storing assets, making workflows easier and data management more efficient.

 ### 16. Efficient Website Building with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Apoorv P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I appreciate Adobe Experience Manager's authoring and CMS, which helps me maintain content and code separately, giving more control to the business. I also like the edge delivery services for building websites, as they make the process simple and faster.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

Sometimes it's slow and authoring is a bit complex. The initial setup was a bit complicated.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Experience Manager for its authoring and CMS, which separates content and code, offering more control to the business. The edge delivery services make building websites simple and faster.

 ### 17. All-in-One Content Management That Keeps Our Workflow Smooth

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abu Zaher Mohammad B. | CRO developer , Computer & Network Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like best about Adobe Experience Manager is how it brings everything together in one place. Managing content across different channels AEM makes it much easier. The drag-and-drop features are intuitive, and even non-technical team members can jump in and get things done without always relying on developers. It really saves us a lot of time and keeps our workflow smooth.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

What I dislike is how steep the learning curve is when you first get started. It can feel really overwhelming, and getting everything set up properly almost always requires a dedicated developer or specialist. On top of that, the cost is quite high compared to other management tools out there, which makes it hard for smaller teams to justify.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing content across multiple websites and digital channels used to be a real challenge for us. We were constantly jumping between different tools, and it was difficult to keep everything consistent. AEM solved that by giving us one central place to manage it all. Now our team can create, update, and publish content much faster than before. The personalization features have also been a huge win, because we can deliver the right content to the right audience at the right time, and that has noticeably improved our customer engagement.

 ### 18. AEM is Powerful, Yet Complicated

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ROMIN S. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

Content Fragment and Experience Fragment concepts.AEM integrates easily with Adobe Marketing and E-commerce, as well as Cloud analytics. It helps basically

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I struggle with the complexity, and people who aren’t from a web development background suffer a lot with it too. Visibility is limited at times, and budget can also be an issue. As a solo entrepreneur, I feel like I have to take more risks during the breakdown workflow, and the whole process is also very time-consuming.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me time by keeping everything in one place. It also makes me look more professional, helps me create and publish content faster, and improves my marketing results. That said, there’s a lack of personalization, and I’ve had difficulty scaling.

 ### 19. Reusability and Structure That Make Work Easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priya N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

Reusability and structured way of the way the product is designed and also user friendliness, customer support and ease of integration and number of features

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

Searchability for content when the repo is huge, collaborations through brand portal for agencies to share assets across enterprise teams and review mechanisms

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have a centralized digital asset management system which different teams can use product assets by reusing them and reducing storage across the enterprise

 ### 20. Trusted Adobe AEM Cloud Solution with Strong Deployment and Learning Resources

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Warit C. | Full-Stack Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

It’s a trusted solution for businesses, since it comes from a well-known, long-standing company.

It’s deployed by Adobe, and they handle cloud deployment and scaling automatically.

There are also courses available to learn it, which helps because it’s a fairly large product.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

It takes time to learn the many features you need in order to work with AEM efficiently. For me, it took about one month to get comfortable with it.

Sometimes the architecture isn’t very efficient when you’re trying to implement certain features quickly, so even adding simple functionality can take longer than you might expect.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to create multi lingual websites for our client projects and effectively manage it's content by people without technical knowledge. For example we have integrated it with Microsoft Share Point to get data automatically from there.

 ### 21. Great for Enterprises, But Costly and Complex for Smaller Teams

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gautami S. | Cloud Services & Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

AEM is excellent for business. It is powerful as it works in large enterprises where non technical users can manage web pages without developer help. The author , publish mode is enterprise grade and from a developer’s perspective using vanillaJS and CSS for frontend is easy and beginner friendly.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

As for me, I am someone who was used to working with SPA frameworks. Compared to these, AEM feels over engineered. Also you would mostly see only large enterprises using it and not small teams or startups as the license cost and maintenance cost is enormous.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If we compare AEM with other CMS in market, the biggest plus point is the scale it works on. Along with this, the performance of the website it provides with almost a perfect lighthouse score is commendable. Hundreds of authors can manage content safely while developers can manage security, structure and performance provided by AEM.

 ### 22. Flexible Tool, Needs Better Performance

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhiraj M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like the flexibility of Adobe Experience Manager to support multiple use cases. Also, since we are using AEM Cloud, the initial setup was pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I'm concerned about how Adobe Experience Manager will expand with an AI-native approach, especially as marketing and content teams look to create content directly from AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT, instead of using a separate AEM platform. I'm also not entirely satisfied with the performance and better CDN capabilities of Adobe Experience Manager.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Experience Manager for building and serving user experiences. I like its flexibility to support multiple use cases.

 ### 23. Needs Better Integration Despite Adobe Synergy

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JO D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like the unification with various other Adobe tech stack when using Adobe Experience Manager.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I find Adobe Experience Manager's lack of integration frustrating. It doesn't effectively unify with other Adobe tech like it should, which limits the potential benefits we could get from it. The product details aren't integrated into the system like PIM, so everything has to be done manually. It should suggest how to run platforms to ensure clients use the tech to its full potential.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager helps with website management but lacks automation and proper integration with other Adobe products, forcing manual processes.

 ### 24. Flexible, Scalable SaaS With Strong Customization and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishit J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

The SaaS model stands out, along with the solution’s flexibility and scalability, and the level of customization possible through the integrated technologies. I also appreciate the available integration points and the out-of-the-box connections.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

Pricing is pretty high, with additional overhead on top of the basic necessities. Performance scoring is poor with the client libraries model, and it ends up forcing clients to implement headless.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our use case, AEM compartmentalizes content and business logic, which makes the solution more scalable. It also supports taxonomy, maintenance, and long-term optimization, helping us keep things organized and easier to manage over time.

**Reviewed by:** Dustin F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

I like the content fragments in Adobe Experience Manager, especially how customizable they are and how easily they resolve with GraphQL. It also helps make it easier for us to build content that is omnichannel.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

We are still on AEM6.5, we did a lot of customization to it, so that makes it difficult to upgrade service packs most of the time.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Experience Manager to manage web and mobile app content. It gives us space to build and deploy omnichannel content, making it customizable and easily resolvable with GraphQL.

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?**

It’s got a lot of features. Features are templates. Premade ready to use static pages and templates. It’s got a lot to chose from so it makes the process of creating easy.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

It wasn’t as creative as I thought. It was pretty standard to matching the quality and selection of most basic applications. It was not that uncommon.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was supposed to be helping me provide more engaging content that was more unique and less repetitive and less boring than what is currently available.

It's valuable for its component-based design that allows quick updates while maintaining consistent branding. The ability to enable personalized, data-driven experiences makes it a powerful platform for managing complex digital ecosystems.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

The biggest drawback is its steep learning curve and the high technical effort required for customization. Some workflows feel rigid, and the interface can be slow or complex at times for asset volumes.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Experience Manager helps us centralize content, streamline updates, and maintain consistent branding. It solves challenges around digital assets, delivering personalized experiences at scale, and supports integration with other tools for a comprehensive digital ecosystem.

The robust digital asset management and workflow automation features work especially well for team collaboration and efficiency. The integration with other Adobe tools allows us to analyze user behavior, run targeted campaigns, and optimize content all from a connected ecosystem, saving time and improving results. Additionally, workflow automation streamlines content approvals and publishing, ensuring faster updates and consistent quality.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

One area that could be improved is the initial learning curve, as Adobe Experience Manager can be complex for new users. Sometimes, customizing components or templates requires technical expertise. Performance can also slow down when handling very large sites or assets. The steep learning curve means new team members take longer to become productive, requiring extra training and support. Customization complexity often slows down development when we need unique templates or features, sometimes requiring developer intervention. Performance issues with large-scale content can delay publishing and testing, affecting project timelines. These challenges can reduce efficiency and slow down our content delivery process. The initial setup was moderately challenging, requiring planning, configuration, and some technical expertise to integrate with our existing systems.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Experience Manager to manage digital content across websites and apps. It helps solve problems like managing large amounts of content across channels, maintaining consistency, speeding up content updates, and delivering personalized experiences. How robust the capabilities are. There are so many ways to target content, personalize content, create landing pages that can easily be viewed, updated, and approved by other team members, etc.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?**

Personally, the most difficult aspect isn't even Adobe Experience Manager itself, but the support can be difficult at times. However, luckily, this isn't something that's needed often, nor is it difficult every time. Definitely not enough to sway me away from AEM.

**What problems is Adobe Experience Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AEM solves coordination of content creation across so many different teams, centralized into one place. It makes it much easier to work together on tasks, from the media teams providing assets and videos, to the content authors writing copy, to the developers customizing components for everyone to use.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed B. | Senior Software Engineer
