The code is there for developers when you need it but is hidden when you dont, creating a great layered experience. The program works for individual users or teams when there are different levels of freedom and skill level. Its workspace is highly customizable, and it also comes with a number of templates and ftp functionality. One can also do site-wide editorial tasks, such as find and replace, auto-format code, and much more. Dreamweaver is robust, versatile, and is great for working both on webpages and emails. It can locally connect to a database, so dynamic features could be tested right inside the tools. Dreamweaver is also a great tool for organizations where part of the coding is delegated to design teams, such as modifying and populating email templates before importing them into email building tools. You definitely want to keep saving your work in between, for any reason if your application hangs, you may loose your edits as I have not noticed yet an auto-save feature with adobe, though re-opening application some time does recover files but that can be also annoying if you are working with multiple applications and multiple files at the same time. **Recommendations to others considering Adobe Dreamweaver:** There are lot of different options available when it comes to designing and web-development. With all the experience that i have i personally feel, your time and money investment into creative cloud is well paid off in very short amount of time with features available. Adobe has great customer service, readily available to you. There are ton of training videos to familiarize yourself with features each package offer available through adobe. I contact adobe several times while working with illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop with very specific questions or issues related to each software. Their dedicated support team was extremely helpful in resolving my issue, they did remote session, re-created files on their side, made sure my issue is properly resolved in timely manner. Its literally worth it to use tools with a company where whenever you need help, you can find help and support, and that is beside tons of training videos that are available to you. One of the other benefit you get is, you get cloud space and your files are not only safe, but also available to work on any other device if you need them. **What problems is Adobe Dreamweaver solving and how is that benefiting you?** I create sites to help other small business owners, and to help in my community. It just makes your life much easier to manage multiple sites from one single platforms, with pre-set settings, you just need to switch in between sites, and all pre-set settings of site make your life much easier. For Instance you can setup each site that you create, you can link it with your server, your setup CSS preprocessors, like enabling rewrite urls as relative urls, can can define yours. You can setup your image folders, enable cloaking, add design notes.... you name it its loaded with feature to make your development process lot more stream-lined an manageable. New features give you temporary link to see site on you cell phone, tablets and online without uploading actual code, thats a very helpful feature in development. ### 23. Without Adobe Dreamweaver, I think that it would be hard for me to get through my work without having the ability to see what some of the visual elements look like as I am coding them. About the usage, Dreamweaver has an organized layout that let's open and close many useful panels as I need. When I want to focus more on pure coding and have more space, I can simply close windows. I can also set up workspaces to meet my layout preferences. **What do you dislike about Adobe Dreamweaver?** There are several great open source or commercial web programming editors that come at a lower price than Adobe Dreamweaver. I think Dreamweaver is a good value though. **Recommendations to others considering Adobe Dreamweaver:** You can add extensions to Adobe Dreamweaver to make certain designs more intuitive and possibly easier and faster. **What problems is Adobe Dreamweaver solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have used Adobe Dreamweaver for several types of computer and web design programming projects. It has many helpful tools that let me get find errors and add code snippets that are relevant to given projects. I have used it to debug and correct many issues we've run into for scripts involving PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS. ### 49. They update it every year and always make changes that make it better. I don't have anything bad to say. **Recommendations to others considering Adobe Dreamweaver:** Make sure you follow tutorials that Adobe provides. For those who are unfamiliar, Dreamweaver can look a bit complex. There are a ton of tutorials and videos on youtube that are very helpful. The file management part of the software requires one to log into their server. This can be dangerous for people who are not familiar with this feature because you are performing live updates. **What problems is Adobe Dreamweaver solving and how is that benefiting you?** Everything from updating current pages on the web site to creating web applications. I have been using Dreamweaver for years and it makes creating web applications a breeze. The split view allows you to see your coding live, which makes editing the page so much easier. I have created all of my web applications using Dreamweaver since 2008.
