## Adobe Connect Reviews
  ### 1. User Experience in dynamic environments with Adobe Connect

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** dario b. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

It works perfectly when you have ONLY lecture-based classes. Preferably with good bandwidth, good processors, and fast memory both in RAM and SSD. I love its aesthetics, it's impeccable. I love how the recorded classes are played with this system and the security that teachers have for that video material since it cannot be easily downloaded.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

It doesn't work well when there are more than 5 cameras in group work and the participants are in different geographical areas. In live listening or in the recording of workshop-type classes, there is a lag between the different videos that make up the system, and it is necessary to repeat scenes in the previous format, which sometimes works better (fortunately, it gives the option to play with the current system or the previous one).

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

Adobe Connect is recommended when you work at a professional level with webinars and presentations. If you need more interactivity, use it first and see how it works for your use case. Keep in mind that if there are people who do NOT have broadband connections or are in different geographical areas, you might experience difficulties.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I study through that videoconferencing system. The University implemented it from the start. It is secure, and it is difficult for a stranger to enter a class.

  ### 2. Not enough space? Not intuitive, exceptional, nor stable.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin C. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

It's better than nothing. Having a draw feature is better than nothing. The base features are better than a having something that is not made for presenting. And it doesn't take too much set up each time to use.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

Realistically you have to waste time teaching the students how to use the program. Then it doesn't have very many useful functions. Sharing onto the screen can only be done one file simultaneously, and navigating through folders is a hassle. Uploading into the files pod doesn't show up in the order that you click them.
Often the system is unstable, and students/teachers have difficulty communicating.
The notes box can't handle multiple people typing in it at the same time.
I think adobe was ok as an immediate response to the covid epidemic; however, it has seemed to be rather slow at improving the overall experience and largely feels like the same product we started with a year ago.
Adobe is not a singular product that covers the majority of my needs as a teacher. I also have to use other programs like google.drive and other pages to supplement adobe.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being unable to be in person with students because of COVID-19. There hasn't ben a huge benefit that I've noticed. I think its mostly used because it is what is provided to us to use.

  ### 3. Adobe Connect Needs Work

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

Adobe Connect was a last minute solution to the covid-19 pandemic for my tutoring center. We'd been using Adobe Connect in a very small capacity as part of our training module, but adopted it as our sole teaching platform to accommodate our many students when covid hit. Frankly, the only good thing i have to say about Adobe Connect is that it kept us in business.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

Adobe Connect is not equipped to handle a fast paced teaching environment. It has serious bandwidth issues and bugs, constantly booting teachers and students, cutting out audio and video seemingly randomly, and rendering its own widgets (i.e. the whiteboard, file sharing, etc) useless.

Even the best ethernet/wifi connection does little to improve the user experience, and when many users are on at once, it is an impossible teaching/learning environment.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again, the only benefit is that we're able to provide some semblance of instruction to our students. Zoom/Google were not viable alternatives because they lack the built in teaching tools that Adobe Connect has. It was Adobe or nothing.

  ### 4. Seldom a day goes by without incident

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corrine J. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

I like the polls, the pods, and the layout functions

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

Stability is nearly a constant issue. I use Adobe connect about 4 hours per day Monday-Friday and seldom a day goes by where I am kicked out of my classroom, my students are kicked out, we have audio glitches/delays, etc. I have very high speed internet (usually 100 mbps down and 15-20mbps up) and other websites and applications do not have the same stability issues.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's always stability issues.
The main benefit are the polls and pods as they allow me to collect data on my students.

  ### 5. Review for Adobe Connect

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

Nothing, but persistent problems with it Adobe Connect.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

I do not like not having an advanced notice that the software is being updated, which happens every time you have an update.

I have to uninstall it and reinstall Adobe Connect every day I want to use the classroom. If I don't do that, it will not work properly. When the classroom does come up, then it's a guess if my mic or camera works.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

Stop updating with a notice and do more testing before a release.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 6. Slow to respond.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

The options to share many items on the screen and the presenter's margin. I like being able to personalize the screen and using breakout rooms for hosting many students in my virtual classroom at one time.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

When writing mathematics on the whiteboard or sharing my screen, the relay is very slow. Students have complained about the audio connections and having issues with being able to listen versus speaking.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

Watch instructional videos.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are connecting with Students. Students enjoy having access to write on the whiteboard as well when we work out math problems. Students enjoy the digital environment and are more motivated to ask questions with me live with Adobe Connect.

  ### 7. it was great but has dropped into the abyss

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tedd W. | Senior Productions Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

The extra function that should work as the were suppose too.....generally help desk is available

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

Everything since Dec of 2020. The system hardly works correctly, whether its the audio portals not opening, or the severe delay that has happened with adobe share screen....Sad to watch a GREAT product pull a 180 like this

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

Just have a working system......calling 5 times in less then 10 days isnt the way to do it......I loved adobe, was the first streaming platform I would have picked, but since Dec of 2020 this platform has been terrible at best!! Heads and tails the worst platform now.....please just fix the issues and stop making us the trial your none working updates!!

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used it because the FDA uses it....but since everything started to stop working correctly we will be meeting with the FDA in an attempt for them to move their meeting from this platform

  ### 8. Slow and unreliable

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

The interactive whiteboard is nice, and breakout rooms work very well. It's also good for contacting international students that I can't call on the phone.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

Screenshare is awful (slow and doesn't work all of the time). Also, the video recordings are not actually videos (it seems to be fully interactive with all of the pods) and this could be good in some situations, but it also makes the recordings glitchy. It would be good to have the option to just record it as a video so it will play on all computers and will appear exactly as it did during the meeting. And it's great that there's finally a flash-free version, but it doesn't work right when the meeting host is still using the flash version. It's also difficult to play a video during a meeting (we usually end up having to just put a link in the chat and then everyone watches it on their own). Also, it can be very unstable whether using the browser or the app. Sometimes it stops responding or kicks me out of my room and I have to reload it. If it's open in the background, such as during office hours when students can drop by, then it doesn't even warn me if it has lost connection or closed the room. Sometimes I have to try over and over for several minutes to even get into the room. It's very frustrating.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for interactive lessons, and for meeting with students individually to answer their questions.

  ### 9. WILL NOT FIX ISSUES IMPACTING OUR SCHOOL!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

I like how you can have multiple pods up to run a classroom.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

1- When using power point slides, the students slides do not stay synced with the teacher that is presenting the slides. When I am teaching a slide, I expect my students to be on the same slide as me!
2-Private chat needs to be enabled for just host/students. When private chat is enabled, it allows everyone to chat with each other instead of just the teacher and student. If a student messages the host, the host then has to select the student to type back causing the conversation to occur in 2 windows.
3- When multiple users are on camera, students should be able to choose grid view to see everyone instead of a forced view of one person and all others are very small.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would love Adobe Connect if these issues that are occurring in our entire school were FIXED! It's frustrating that nothing has been done to resolve these issues for months now.

  ### 10. Functionally works- but horrible UI and clunky ease of use

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

Using as a teacher it is great for being able to see who is in the room, raise hands, and turn on and off mics. I also like using the polls and Q&A to keep students engaged.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

Adding and removing pods is really annoying. Having to hide, go back up to the top, open it again takes forever and is really annoying. Not being able to play videos in the app with sound is annoying too, you have to screen share to youtube and then play the sound out loud. Another thing I don't like is how it looks, it looks like it hasn't been updated since 2002. Another issue is that when you use a lot of videos at the same time it crashes on the i Pads. Lastly, breakout groups take forever to start, you have to click each person and add them to a breakout one by one. Wastes about 3 mins of classtime for this.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

If you are just using it for meetings I guess it would be fine, but not for school.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it to do virtual school. It is good for engaging with studnets with the use of polls and Q&A's.

  ### 11. The Train went off the Track

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

I loved the product for over 10 years, as a professional Training organization I took great pride in the "bulletproof" capabilities and innovation. I was running Breakout rooms before people even understood what they were (as an example).

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

In November we were "pushed" into our upgrade. (to overcome the end of Flash). It is a disaster, today I still have audio issues, users who can not join the meetings, unable to share screens and even when I share content not every user sees the same thing (resolution differences). Overall the WORST rollout and experience of any software product ever. Try to get "help" from Adobe.. Good Luck. When the products work they are fantastic, when they don't it is a total disaster. I am moving on to Teams.. losing some functionality but gaining the only thing that matters in meeting software, STABILITY.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

Test, Test, Test User expereinces and logins.. Audio, screen sharing etc.. all will work one day and not the next.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I run a professional Training Organization, we train over 1000 students a year across dozens of companies.

  ### 12. Adobe Connect is not Suitable for a Virtual Classroom

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noah G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

Adobe Connect does not have many positive features, but it does have a few good layouts that work well for presenting slides. In addition, you can use breakout rooms, but they often crash and managing the pods can be very difficult. Another feature that is nice is that you can change the access to only allow registered users to enter the classroom which can be handy at times.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

Adobe is very dated, crashes often, and doesn't allow good interactions between the students. You have to pre download presentations in order to get them to upload into Adobe Connect. In addition, the webcam feature can't be used with more than just a few users at a time or it crashes. Also, the user inter face of the software does not really allow students to interact with each other. The microphones do not cancel each other out, so unless every one is using ear buds, there is a very loud echo that sometimes turns into a screech unless everyone's mic is turned off. In addition, it is hard to co teach using the software, because although you can have multiple hosts, you can't have the same teachers using the same link, so if one teacher can't get in then the other teacher can't as well.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Adobe Connect as a tool for teaching and presenting for students. I have not realized many benefits as I have tried to get my administration to move to a different software for over a year. Over the course of my time using the app I have had so many problems.

  ### 13. I am glad that my principal client has dumped Adobe Connect in favor of Microsoft Meetings

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

The experience of using Adobe Connect taught me what to look for in Webinar software.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

Hours spent with technical support, including them taking over my screen as well.
The YouTube how-to videos from Adobe Connect provide no help in terms of troubleshooting, nor do any reference any of the many error messages that a webinar leader gets explaining what they mean.
The main portal where you set up new webinars should be user- friendly and it is not.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A
The client has gotten rid of Adobe Connect and replaced it with Microsoft Meetings,

  ### 14. Jack of All Trades, Master of None

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

It has everything--a whiteboard with multiple functions, screen share capacity, a library of hundreds of study materials, file uploading capacity, a notes section. In Adobe Connect, you don't have to go over to any other platforms to do multiple functions, which is ideal for tutoring capacity.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

It does all of these functions badly! It takes forever to pull anything up; it crashes frequently, the library is not searchable, the notes section can't have two people writing in it at once. It updates every month, and the non-updated platform isn't compatible with previous versions.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

Don't use it! It's better to use many platforms that actually work than a one-stop shop that so often crashes.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a great platform for teaching because it does so much, and you're able to monitor your student in one place.

  ### 15. Adobe Connect slow and unwieldly

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

I like the breakout room feature. The share screen feature is also usefull.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

The whiteboard is very difficult to use. Because of poor latency with Adobe Connect, writing is slow and irregular. Another problem is that students or myself get disconnected from Adobe Connect and have to log back in. Or a student's audio stops working and they have to log out and back in again to restore their audio.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can interact with my students in real-time.

  ### 16. Inferior to other video conferencing platforms

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

The audio seems better with the new app.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

I the feed freezes, and I sometimes lose connection. This doesn't happen to me on Zoom or TEAMS.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

I don't recommend Adobe Connect because other video conferencing options are easier to use and offer a more reliable experience.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't identify a problem solved or benefit for its use. I'm using Adobe Connect because it's the platform provided by the university where I'm a professor.

  ### 17. Continuous issues forced us to switch programs

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

The ease of access to reporting and the robust platform that enabled customization of emails and marketing materials that were sent out to potential meeting participants

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

continuous audio/visual issues and a support team that was not good at communication and keeping us in the loop when there were issues being looked into

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

If you're looking for a reliable platform to host webinars, look elsewhere because based on our experiences, you will have continuous technical difficulties which will look bad to your partners.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Connect created a way for us to have everything we needed, including reporting and email customization, while having the virtual programs as well. Having everything seamlessly in one system was nice.

  ### 18. NOT SATISFACTORY

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kavya B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

User Friendly, Audience does not have technical difficulties as before. The New update is good for non-Mac users.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

We are experiencing issues when we download the recording. THE AUDIO IS COMPLETELY OUT OF SYNC. This was not fixed by Adobe. The quality of our conferences has not been up to the mark because of this issue. The support team are doing their best, however they are not able to resolve this issue. Even the fixed version is pretty bad.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Out of sync audio issues with the recording. It's not of any use so far.

  ### 19. Connection Issues and Lag

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

The ability to customize layouts and resize anything that I want.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

Participants are constantly being disconnected and often my voice is too laggy for them to hear.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to interact in various ways with my students in a cyber setting to make the experience as individualized and personal as possible

  ### 20. I used to love you but I don't anymore

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

I like the options and the customizable layouts. I like that I can have everything uploaded and ready to go or share on the fly.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

My school changed over to Chromebooks, and they do not work well with Adobe Connect. The latest updates have hurt students with lower bandwidths. There is so much lag.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is my 4th year using Adobe Connect but my first year with Chromebooks. That was challenging enough. But the latest updates have slowed things down.

  ### 21. Software kept crashing; could not run with video in a large group

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

Some advanced layout features for the Presenter, e.g. showing multiple "mini screens" within the overall presenter screen view.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

We used Adobe Connect in a 2 day corporate training course, with 1 instructor and ~20 attendees. The software kept crashing for several attendees (including me) throughout the 2 days, which everyone found very frustrating. Through trial and error we realized the system would crash anytime there were more than 6 attendees with their video "on"; eventually we all had to turn our video off in order for it to run without glitches. It is very difficult to run and participate in a 2 day virtual course with that many attendees and not have video working.

By comparison, I have used Zoom (probably the best), GoToMeeting, Google Meet, and WebEx, and despite each of those having their wrinkles, none would crash as much or give me as many issues as Adobe Connect where it seriously impacted our group's productivity.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Connect:**

I do not recommend Adobe Connect. Please, use any other video conferencing technology, for your own sake. It looks like they have a trial so don't take my word for it, give it a whirl and compare to something else (e.g. Zoom) and make your own determination.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Group video conferencing in a virtual classroom setting.

  ### 22. adobe connect failed during covid

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

I did like its features, it was easy to have a webinar with many people having everything under control

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

during covid it did not work properly and this was a problem for my job

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the rooms of the webinar allow to have a dynamic meeting

  ### 23. It work badly, many free app are SO better!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

I liked the white board and the chat, useful.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

It bug a lot, we lost sound or image, it lag. Impossible with a big group (more than 5 people), I had a lot of bugs.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing

  ### 24. Not the greatest experience, Skype is perhaps more suitable

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

I like that multiple people can join. Has the same functions as Skype.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

It can be a bit iffy. Usually there are issue with audio, video is fine. Have used in different areas with audio issues. Technical support are useless.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven’t realised any benefits so therefore I am keep to Skype for their services

  ### 25. Really poor tools

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

Simplicity to log in the tool. Good User Interface

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

This application is really full of bugs. Every time you click on it, you have to restart because it gets stuck

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really none

  ### 26. Unreliable

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

Easy enough process. Short learning curve to get up and running.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Connect?**

When previewing and testing the presentation, we found most but not all Powerpoint animations failed. We eliminated the problem animations and kept the ones that worked. Then during our live broadcast, it was a very different story. Slide animations that worked just failed to show.

**What problems is Adobe Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Promotional outreach program. Lead generation.

  ### 27. Expect Connection Problems with Adobe Connect

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Connect?**

I like how Adobe Connect allows the presenter to share his or her screen, upload a document or PowerPoint, and allow audience to answer polls.
