"Unmatched Flexibility and Power for Enterprise E-Commerce"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

Adobe Commerce excels as a powerful, enterprise-grade platform best suited for large and rapidly scaling businesses, especially those with complex B2B needs. Its greatest strength lies in its unparalleled flexibility and scalability, providing deep customization options and the robust architecture necessary to handle large catalogs and high transaction volumes. Furthermore, its native B2B tools—including company accounts, custom pricing, and quoting—are market leaders, and the seamless integration with the broader Adobe Experience Cloud offers advanced AI-driven personalization and content management capabilities, making it a comprehensive solution for sophisticated digital experiences. What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

The main dislikes of Adobe Commerce center on its high total cost of ownership (TCO) and inherent complexity. The platform requires significant investment, not just in substantial annual licensing fees, but also in specialized, expensive development resources for both initial setup and ongoing maintenance, making it cost-prohibitive for smaller businesses. Furthermore, its complex architecture leads to a steep technical learning curve and a much longer time-to-market compared to more streamlined SaaS alternatives, which can delay deployment and increase reliance on external experts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unmatched Flexibility and Scalability for Enterprise E-Commerce"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

What stands out most is its unparalleled flexibility and scalability. Because of its open-source foundation (Magento Open Source), developers have deep granular control to customize literally every aspect of the platform, from the frontend user experience to complex backend business logic and integrations. This allows businesses to build truly unique and tailored shopping experiences that other platforms can't support. Its robust architecture is built to scale, capable of managing massive product catalogs (hundreds of thousands of SKUs) and handling high-volume enterprise-level traffic. The rich, out-of-the-box feature set, especially for B2B (like customer-specific pricing, quote management, and company accounts), is far more comprehensive than most competitors, providing a solid foundation for complex operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

The primary drawback is its significant complexity and high total cost of ownership (TCO). This is not a platform for small businesses or teams without dedicated technical support. It has a very steep learning curve and requires specialized, and often expensive, Adobe Commerce developers to manage, customize, and maintain. Beyond the high licensing fees for the Commerce edition, the platform is resource-intensive, demanding robust and costly hosting environments to run efficiently. Simple updates or even minor customizations can be time-consuming and technically challenging, leading to high ongoing maintenance costs and a slower time-to-market for new features compared to simpler SaaS platforms. I greatly appreciate its power and scalability, which support advanced features without limiting my business growth. The platform supports all essential e-commerce features, like managing products, orders, inventory, customer accounts, payments, and promotions, and helps centralize and streamline my entire e-commerce workflow. It proficiently handles large product catalogs and orders, keeps inventory updated, and ensures a smooth checkout experience. Automation of tasks like promotions, reports, and customer management saves me a lot of time and effort, keeping the store running smoothly. I also value its ability to integrate with other tools, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, analytics tools, and marketing extensions, further enhancing the overall shopping experience. What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

Some areas that could be improved are the complexity and maintenance requirements. Adobe Commerce can feel heavy, and setting up or customizing certain features often needs technical skills. It would be helpful if the platform were easier to configure and required fewer developer resources. The initial setup wasn’t very easy. It required some technical knowledge and developer support. Once everything was configured properly, it became smooth, but the starting setup definitely needed expertise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Highly flexible enterprise e-commerce platform that demands investment"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

I've been working with adobe commerce to power our multi brand online store network, and I've found several things that stand out:-

1. The level of customization is remarkable, I can tweak almost every part of store front, checkout flows, product attributed and back-office workflows.

2.It scales extremely well for large catalogs, multiple storefronts, and international markets. We moved from 10,000 AKUs to over 250,000 with minimal friction.

3. Integration capabilities are strong. We hooked into our ERP, CRM, marketing automation and custom logistics system.

4. From Digital marketing angle, Adobe commerce gives great SEO control, layout freedom, and ability to build tailored experiences rather than being limited by rigid systems.

5.The ability to run multiple stores under one instance, with different languages, currencies, pricing has been a massive time saver for our operations.

6. Setting it up wasn't plug and play. But once the initial configuration was done managing it became straightforward.

7. Whenever we faced any deployment or integration issues, the customer support guided us clearly.

8. We used adobe commerce every single day, from managing orders and updating inventory to running marketing campaigns and checking analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

Because of this flexibility and power the learning curve is steep. It took our team weeks to get fully comfortable. It requires significant technical resources for implementing, hosting, performance tuning and maintenance... not ideas for smaller teams without dev support. The cost is high.
