It can also execute Photoshop's compatible automation plug-ins, scripts and Adobe Camera Raw filters on a group of images. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** It lacks the photo editing options of the adobe photoshop lightroom. **Recommendations to others considering Adobe Bridge:** It is great software to keep your files organised and helps in protecting the copyright of the original works by hiding the info in the image itself. Adobe Bridge helps clear the clutter and lets you focus on what’s critical with features such as the Filter Panel, which lets you quickly locate assets by attributes such as file type, camera settings, and ratings. I also use it to copyright my portfolio images by editing the metadata with my name. It is very helpful when you are participating in competitions. I link the parts of the Creative Suite together using a format similar to the file browser found in previous versions of Adobe Photoshop. It immediately shows you what’s in your hard drive, network, or storage device without the need to import into a catalog or database. ### 5. Always having to dig through hundreds a photo can be a pain. My favorite part about the software is the batch re-name feature where you can rename a set of files with a click of the button. It is great when sorting as well. Essentially this organization software makes my life easier. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** Bridge can be hard to use and is not very user-friendly. You have to know what you are doing as soon as you open the program. Also, when I have a bunch of raw images to sort through, I notice the program does crash a bit. It is great at this, and I can see how it can be a real time-saver. The ability to rate and filter photos is fantastic, and what I think Bridge does best. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** Here's where I feel like a minority: I've never liked using Bridge. It's always felt a little too laggy for my use. I currently use Lightroom for previewing, sorting, rating and culling images and I feel like it does that so much faster than Bridge. The fact that it helps you see exactly what you want to see in a million other files. I can choose if I want to see only the .PSD's or .AI's among others. It helps not only in design field, it really usefull if you are doing any type of organization in your folders, especially if you are the type of person that downloads a lot of stuff, with this tool I can see all my files by type -for example- and I can delete them or move them in big baches without having too many things in the middle of it. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** The only thing I really wish is that it becomes a little lighter, also, I'm not a fan of the grey or black background but that's just my personal taste. As a Windows user, Windows file viewer dose not show the content of Photoshop files. However by viewing all my files in Brige I can ensure that I am opening the correct version without having to open each file in Photoshop. What is also fantastic is Bridges ability to generate PDF contact sheets, if your like me and take hundreds of photos rather then just a few. Being able to print of contact sheets is a great way to filter through your photos and see which ones have potential. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** I do fined bridge a bit difficult to use. for me I don't finds the interface that intuitive, I had to what quite a few tutorials to find out how to use the tools that I needed. **What problems is Adobe Bridge solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to view Photoshop files in bridge is a great way of ensuring version control in large scale protects. The key is to let the program index your project files. Then it's a great Finder replacement. The system is slow and buggy and crashes a lot and loves to waste system resources. It also should do a much faster job - PhotoMechanic, for example, is much faster at generating previews from RAW. **Recommendations to others considering Adobe Bridge:** Consider alternatives - PhotoMechanic if you're only working with RAW files. On one hand, this is free with Adobe Creative Suite. On the other hand, there are much better options available depending on your use case. I have a huge library of stock images and this program has saved me tons of times because I tag images with keywords in Bridge. Then I can type in a keyword in my search bar and it'll pull up all the images with that tag. So, if I'm designing a "Valentine's Day" flyer, I can search for images I tagged as "love", or "couple" or "Valentine's Day" etc. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** I haven't found anything that I dislike about the program. The ability to make reversible changes to camera RAW data is superior. Things like exposure and brightness can be quickly and easily fixed with just a few clicks. The ability to preview all the photos in a folder at once is great, though the preview size could be a bit bigger---but then there would probably be a tradeoff in terms of processing speed, so oh well. Overall, one of my favorite quick photo editing tools in the Adobe CS. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** I hate when Adobe messes with the tools and settings every time they come out with a new release. The main edit screen where you correct tint and exposure, brightness, etc. used to have a sort of "softening" slider that would allow you to somewhat soften the changes you made so your photo didn't look too blown-out or whatnot. That feature is now gone. Some of the menus are a bit complicated and I don't ever really use them. Someone with more expertise may be able to figure out/use these features, but I for one do not know how and I am a pretty experienced Adobe CS user (10+ years). **Recommendations to others considering Adobe Bridge:** Download a free trial and check it out! It's a whole more user-intuitive than you would think at first, and every change you make can be undone. Edit in camera RAW then open in Photoshop and save a JPEG copy so you can always go back to the RAW data and make more changes. **What problems is Adobe Bridge solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Bridge most often to correct exposure on photos. The ability to make changes to RAW data and save endless JPEG copies of each alteration and then compare is pretty unbeatable. It's relatively quick to edit an entire batch of photos at one time. ### 20. Being able to star favorite images is also helpful if you have files that look similar to each other. The search options are great because you can search by almost anything. Date created, keywords, file type, etc. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** Image loading can be slow sometimes especially if you're going through folders that are on an external server.
