## Adobe Audition Reviews
 ### 1. Focused on audio-specific specialty needs, redundant for other things

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin P. | Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I've been using Audition since it was Audacity, a program bought by Adobe to create Audition. It's great for specific track mixing and audio cleanup. When you're doing audio-focused items like making songs, doing an audio track for a presentation, and so forth. It's pretty powerful, but like many Adobe programs, you can choose to explore a billion sub-menus for granulart editing, or keep a simple layout.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe, being Adobe, tries to force all of their software to cling to each other so you feel compelled to get the whole suite. As an example, Premiere Pro can do 80% of the audio functions of Audition, yet they stunt it slightly, so you need Audition in your suite. I understand this is more an assessment of Adobe's ecosystem than Audition itself, but it does impact things when you're working with it. Most of my work is video work, so I only dabble in Audition occasionally, having to jump into it when there's a limitation on Premiere.

Also, Audition is not a miracle worker - people expect it to make flawless audio from windy, noisy, crosstalk, or garbled conditions, and it just cannot do that. Garbage in, Garbage out still applies.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cleanup of audio when it's not perfect but reasonably good. By design, audio segments that get folded into Premiere video files sometimes get some cleanup from it.

 ### 2. The depth and layers of Audition are just the surface of this powerful software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan G. | Personal Branding Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

It's easy to get into, and that is the beginning. What I love best is the fact you can run through a multitrack session so quickly and simply. It makes my life easier when doing so many layers of audio.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The only thing I dislike about Adobe Audition is you have to pay for it. Honestly, that is it. On the one hand, you get what you pay for. You get more options than any free or paid software, and its integration with Adobe Premiere Pro is stunning

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Between editing podcasts and tweaking audio in my video projects, the seamless integration with other software makes all my projects much easier to manage. That is worth its weight in gold.

 ### 3. Powerful Program, Difficult to Get the Hang Of

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Audition is not low-end audio software, but isn't polished enough to appeal to most professional music producers. It seems to work best for hobbyists and part-time producers. I also think that Audition's features make it better for podcasting and radio than music. Cleaning up audio with small amounts of noise is very easy with the noise reduction tool. It is capable of multi-track recording and editing, but Apple's Logic Pro surpasses Audition when it comes to multi-track editing and mixing.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The layout is way too busy and isn't easy to navigate. It's usable, but does not feel anywhere near as natural as other Adobe programs like Illustrator and Photoshop. The controls are difficult to manipulate, and I find that I take way too long to get things just right. It's not intuitive, and I feel that I'm missing a lot of features because I can't figure out how to get to them.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

Good for quick edits and fixing slightly noisy audio, however not quite robust enough for producing an audio piece from start to finish. I'm really not sure that it's worth the price. Worth it if you already have the Creative Cloud suite and just want to play around.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it occasionally for editing tracks to be used on video content for custom-built websites. Because I only occasionally create audio / visual content for websites, I need software that is easy to use with a short learning curve and I have not found that with this software. It does have some tools, like the noise reduction tool, which are useful, but is harder to learn than Logic Pro and has fewer useful features in my opinion.

 ### 4. Easy Audio Editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition is excellent for me to import audio and clean it up. I can also set templates so that when I have similar audio files, I don't have to recreate it each time!

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I wish there were better auto templates so that I didn't have to look up as many tutorials. It is relatively easy to learn, but it could be better.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audio editing and mastering for video production projects. I use the noise removal alot to get rid of bad noise as well as the compressor to make the audio more even.

 ### 5. Great audio tool but more of an Add on to the premier pro.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Romi K. | App/Game Designer | UI/UX & Prototype Expert | Motion Graphics | Video Editor | GIF | JSON, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Some great features like adaptive noise reduction, vocal enhancer, multi-band compressor, and mastering make it the perfect choice for my workflow. It's best when used with Premier pro while editing and due to the cross-compatibility with other adobe products, it saves a lot of time going back and forth.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

It's overall good for basic tasks like noise reduction etc but for more complex applications it feels a little overwhelming especially for beginners.
I wish it had more automatic features to make it easier for new users and less time consuming when performing complex tasks.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

I guess it's the best choice if you are into video editing and you are a current user of Adobe Premiere Pro or After effect.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot actually, whenever I am editing any video in Premier pro I use Audition for noise removal, vocal enhancer, volume leveler, and multiband compressors.
Sometimes for mastering the audio and enhancing the overall sound quality.

 ### 6. The best audio editing tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Balaji K. | HOD, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The best is remix, we can keep the audio for required time, and we can export to any audio tools and integrate with adobe premier for editing. Great audio tool even you don't know anything about audio you can create great sounds.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Nothing Much, going on right direction. Thanks to Adobe Audition.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

Yes definetley, for videos and music videos and every only audito tracks

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very quick edit and play to required time line. Remix and frequency edit very faster. And good thing is we are integrating to adobe premier while editing. Great support.

 ### 7. Very stable, fast, and intuitive

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eva M. | maquetacion, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I consume few system resources and make professional quality recordings. Additionally, it comes with a wide variety of tools already natively integrated such as compressors, graphic EQ, noise gates, effects, etc...

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I would like greater MIDI integration, I find it difficult to synchronize VST for a more complete version of the studio.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

If you are looking for a robust system that doesn't easily crash with many tracks, Audition is perfect. It also provides a complete solution without the need to resort to numerous costly and cumbersome plugins, all with high-quality native tools.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The audio recordings are fabulous and the dynamic processors have an excellent response.

 ### 8. Audition is a great addition to the Adobe suite of products and is a fairly full featured.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik E. | Animator Freelance, Higher Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I love how easy it is to send clips from Premier Pro to Audition and back again. This becomes a very fast workflow for audio cleanup and sweetening. The interface is fantastic and especially using the visual graphs for clean up. Sometimes it is easier to spot problems visually. The ability to take a sound sample and use that to clean problem audio is amazing. There are a wide variety of formats so it can be used for all types of projects and to make a broad number of deliverables.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Sometimes those learning the app find the saving and exporting clips with mix down effects a little difficult. One student kept asking me if the project was saved with the effects already applied or not. The app can do a lot so sometimes it takes a while to master. There are a number of different equalizers and filters so while the drop downs can get you to some standard presets, you still have a lot to learn about audio to become good at it.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes our students don't record audio in quiet spaces. So learning how to remove background noise, power hums, and how to EQ the voice so it stands out from the ambient noise are all types of things we do in Audition. Usually, we don't go into high level sweetening with students but there is a bit of repair work that is always needed. When dealing with singing, some students like to add reverb or some compression to improve the sound.

 ### 9. Amazing software for better music and sound editing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** pranav s. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe audition is really amazing software when it comes to remove the noise, enhance the speech, amplify the audio and enhance the vocals, it covers almost every feature for sound engineering, the noise reduction feature and sound leveler feature are the most helpful features for me while doing voice overs for my youtube videos. it is really an industry standard software loaded with all the features.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The interface is hard to understand for beginners and without a course or guidance it is quite hard to know all the features of adobe audition, simply it is quite difficult to learn but when learn it. then you will find the quality in your voice and music. one feature is missing is while using a video to edit it's voice and when you export that audio it create a separate audio file ( edited version) so you have to use video and audio on 2 files, so that's a demerit.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

If you are looking for an industry standard software for audio and music engineering then you can choose adobe audition, it takes some time to learn how to use it but when you are done with learning then you will be able to generate professional voice overs and enhance music quality and it will also be very helpful if you are looking for a software for your voice over editing.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use adobe audition to provide voice over to my videos. we doesn't go with the depth of this software but we use all the essential features of this software to produce an enhanced voice over for our youtube video and online course material and it works really amazing without any studio.

 ### 10. Know one, know all...

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda R. | Senior Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The best thing I like is that everything is pretty consistent between Adobe programs as far as editing audio. And if you don't know how to do something, Adobe has a great tutorials how to use their products.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

There are many options and abilities that I have no idea how to use, but that is only user knowledge error, not a program error.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to make audio clips for our videos sound so much better by being able to take out the background noises, the "clicks" and "pops". It makes our videos sound much more professional.

 ### 11. A valuable software for the average audiophile

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan W. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Audition is easy to use. It's fairly straightforward to set up and doesn't have a major learning curve like some of the other big audio softwares.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The software is somewhat clunky. It works well overall, but the number of clicks to get some things done or the clunky editing can be sticking points.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audition is an excellent solution for medium to medium-large churches, podcast recording (with more than a few inputs), or small video editing (short youtube videos, social media, etc.

 ### 12. Using Adobe Audition for audio editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saloni G. | Deputy Manager - Digital Marketing, Mobile App, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I can add multiple audio files and can edit quickly. It provides a very easy way to cut, merge and split audio. You can use transitions between audios and apply many filters or effects. Its interface is very user friendly. You can customize the editing panel too.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

This is the best software for audio editing in the market but not everyone can afford it. Price is too costly.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

After audacity, I started using this. You must try and see the difference.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me to do noise cancellation in every audio clip and this is how I am able to produce a good podcast.

 ### 13. Hated switching from open source, but Audition is just more intuitive than Audacity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hans M. | Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I like the Timeline feature the best. I'm used to a timeline from Premier, and I had a hard time adjusting without it in Audacity. While I love the open source plugins you can download for Audacity, I think Audition has just as many and even more powerful built in editing and cleaning features.
There are so many more powerful features that I still need to learn. Helpfully, Adobe includes a number of great tutorials that are easy to watch and learn from. I've gained a ton from them.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Really the only thing I dislike is the prices. I probably wouldn't have started using this if it wasn't already part of the Creative Cloud package I get at my school. After having used it to edit podcasts now for about a year, I can't imagine using anything else.
I do wish it would be easier to input multiple live audio sources into the mixer like you can in Garage Band or the abilty to use it as a live mixer period, but there are other solutions for live audio.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

There are free programs out there that allow you to edit audio, but if you are going to do it often, treat yourself and get Audition. It really is the best and simplest to use. Adobe really knows what it's doing. Don't think you have to be a pro to use it either. I wouldn't consider myself a pro and I can edit an hour-long podcast with four audio sources on it in less than three hours, and that's mostly because I'm a perfectionist and always adjusting levels.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my view, Audition is the best audio editor out there. I think it allows you to include the most channels for your edits, beyond something really expensive like ProTools. I also love that is has really easy to use filters to eliminate background noise or standardize audio levels. This is another top of the line prosumer Adobe product.

 ### 14. The standard for audio editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca O. | Divulgatore, Comunicatore, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

As with many Adobe software, you seldom find yourself in need to use all of the program's capabilities in every project. Most of the editing is done in the single track (waveform) interface, where you can do almost anything you can imagine with the dozens of available effects. Fine-tuning the results can be quite challenging, so you will necessarily pass through a steep learning curve, but the final product will be as professional as it can be.
The multitrack interface is almost like being at an audio mixer, so, if you have experience with a physical one, you won't have difficulties in understanding the features you have available here, also thanks to the friendly interface.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Not the best software for professional music production (there are more specifically dedicated applications), but being more suited for more generic audio editing, this is a forgivable weakness.
When you require some quick editing, using Audition feels like overkill.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

Prepare yourself for a quite steep learning curve, at least to get to the most used functions. Once there, a simple try and error will get you to master it.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you are using other Adobe solutions, Audition will integrate perfectly into your workflow. Aside from some niche functionalities, there is everything you need to edit audio files.

 ### 15. Solid audio editing solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Audition is user friendly, easy to learn, and has lots of features for pro editing.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Sometimes it' s difficult to locate certain tools in the edit suite.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

The spectral frequency is very helpful in removing digital distortion, unwanted background noises etc.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been successfully editing podcasts for 5 years on the outside of my corporate job as well as the benefits of using Audition on my day to day work at my corporate position.

 ### 16. Sound removal and noise reduction tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RAHUL G. | Business Development Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

This tool is my fav tool for audio cleanup and soundtrack mixing. It provides many features like noise reduction and a vocal enhancer.
I prefer adobe audition for audio editing and enhancing audio quality.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The only thing I dislike is its price is too costly.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

Adobe audition is the best software in the market; I know its pricey, but once you start using this, you will understand that it is worth the money

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this for editing my podcast; it helps me remove background noise without losing original audio quality.

 ### 17. The best and easy application for digital audio multitrack creating, mixing and editing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renuka W. | Computer Application Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

This software is easy to handle and can do all our Digital audio editing and mixing later. This software does not require specialized computers and works well on most computers. This software has all the necessary tools for audio cutting, mixing, and effects adding. We can also fine-tune the existing audio effects here and adding the effects we need externally as a plugin so that we can do good clearly audio editing.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Creations from older versions can only be saved as ( .ses), while newer versions have difficulty opening older files (.ses), leaving only (.sesx) files open.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

We recommend it as the best software to implement the fundamental theories and do the essential workings well in the Apprenticeship and Sound Engineering section.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been training our students on this software since 2007 and currently have five studios. The basic principles of the audio enginniring curriculum provided to these students are imparted through this software.Problems with this software are minimal and there are no software crashes or stuck. Therefore, this software saves our company time and money .

 ### 18. We use this for everything related to sound!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricky D. | Web Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Easy manipulation of sound. It can easily add effects and enhance sounds in several ways.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition has a bit of a learning curb for those not used to working with sound on this level.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating new media, editing media, syncing up voiceovers, and all sound-related editing.

 ### 19. Good, Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Most pre-sets work really well without having to do extensive tweaking.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Everytime you send a clip from Premiere Pro to Audition, it creates a new one instead of just editing the existing one.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

It comes with the CC suite so you wouldn't have to pay separately for an audio editing tool and it works with other popular plugins if you wish to purchase them.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Adobe Audition mostly for noise reduction and removal. These functions work really well and fast.

 ### 20. Does what I need it to do.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Quick workflow, and has all the tools I need. I enjoy the responsiveness, as well as the power to zero in on a particular waveform or flexibility to use multitrack mode.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I'm not sure if it's my particular system, but I have only one thing that bugs me a little. Sometimes when I close a file, it takes a little while, and then my windows are re-sized a little. Nothing major.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Audition mostly to record and produce audiobooks and other voiceover products. It helps me do that, and on the occasion I need to record something like music or bands, the multitrack editor helps a lot.

 ### 21. My Thoughts on Adobe Audition

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition makes it easy to take difficult audio recordings and make them sound clean and professional. The interface is simple to use and very intuitive. Adobe Audition is just great!

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I think the biggest downfall of Adobe Audition is its lack of collaborative features. Adobe does great stuff with the Cloud on it's other products, I think Audition could do well with similar features.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

It takes a while to get used to, but Audition is a great product for anyone with audio editing needs.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We recently did an interview and we had some really noisy audio. I was able to drop that audio track into Audition and clean the audio very nicely. It was nice to be able to get the job done quickly with Audition.

 ### 22. No matter what software I try, I love Adobe Audition the best!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim M. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I learned it first so that probably has the most to do with it, but I love how you can manipulate a sound wave to however you choose, and you can create your peronal shortcuts too.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I don't like how it doesn't magnify the same in multitrack view as in wavform view.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing audio files to post online and creating daily radio programs.

 ### 23. Easy for mixing engineers whether beginners to pros

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Wav. editing is easier with the interface. Noise removal, reverb. Basically, it has an easy interface for beginers.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Managing 3rd party plugins is a hassle, in terms of loading into the interface.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audio denoising, mixing, and mastering.

 ### 24. Easy audio editing for any project

Audition is not quite as advanced as other DAWs when it comes to music, but it has the basics so it's good for beginners.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audition allows me to dive deep into sound editing when working on commercials at my company. I can clean up background noise, enhance human speech, and overall make it more pleasant to listen to.

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Jumping into Adobe Audition, especially when transitioning from free or inexpensive audio editing platforms might seem like a daunting task at first, but you'll soon discover how easy it is to grasp the basic concepts. Basic editing is a breeze, and I was able to jump right in thanks to my experience with Audacity, Cool Edit, ProTools, and Dalet.

The advanced features are the most impressive aspect however. Noise reduction tools have saved me an infinite amount of time trying to repair audio recorded in noisy areas. The integration with the rest of the Adobe Creative Cloud platform make editing audio tracks from my videos simple.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

As great as the advanced tools are, there is a learning curve that can be rather frustrating. When applying a filter to your audio file, be prepared to spend a fair amount of time adjusting settings and playing with levels before you will be happy with the result. I'm sure that people who are more learned on this product will need less time, but for people like me who focus on visual products, it can be a pain.

As with all Adobe products, the system requirements can tax computers. Audition is probably the least demanding in those aspects, but be prepared for some lag if you are launching Audition from another product like Premiere.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Audition has been fantastic for all of my audio needs and has become my primary audio editing platform. I am able to work quickly and accurately, and the advanced features make my audio tracks sound great.

 ### 26. Sound enhancements and the control which this software provides is simply AMAZING

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

the control and the option to do every single minute changes according to our likes and the presets which come along with it are good as well. Well, I don't believe there is any competitor which even comes in the way of adobe audition.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The interface is nice but it can be a lot simpler and they can use the same strategy as used in premiere pro - assigning tabs for different sections instead of keeping them floating on the screen.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would like to see the pannel section being organized more efficiently, either using the tabs view or any other method. and its compatibility with adobe cloud could also be improved.

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The ability to auto-detect and scrub out specific unwanted sounds...visually! Very cool feature when trying to remove repetitive knocking sounds.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The strength of this app is also its weakness. It is so powerful that it ends up being overkill for most basic tasks.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scrubbing out unwanted sounds from interviews and other voice recordings. On the rare occasion when I am recording acoustic music for a video, I rely on this tool for final processing.

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Like most Adobe software, this is an extremely capable audio editor with the ability to do anything you could ever want to do.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I wish it was a little easier to learn when I started using it. But once you figure things out, it's worth it!

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do my video edit in Premiere, but I always bring the music into Audition to edit, it's so much easier to remix the timing of the music and customize it to be what you want exactly. Your not contstrained to the frames of your sequence in Premiere either, so it makes editing the music so much more exact and easy.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I've worked in radio before. My radio station used Adobe Audition to edit all audio tracks for stories. Adobe Audition is the industry standard in radio for professional audio editing. I like Adobe Audition because the interface is easy to learn. I also like how the software enables high control and customization. You can be very precise in your edits and mixing.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition has a "dark mode" aesthetic which is hard on the eyes after a long editing session. I'd prefer it if the default interface were brighter.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Audition lets me cut and mix audio tracks with a high degree of precision. I've produced numerous audio stories for broadcast radio and podcasting with Audition.

 ### 36. My review for Adobe Audition

**Reviewed by:** Deepak C. | Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe audition is a good tool to work with the audio.
It is one of the best leading software to work with audio, edit audio, create a remix of music, and fine-time music with built-in effects and controls.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I don't dislike the adobe audition but it is not free for the student so it should be allowed to the student to use so that they can have good knowledge around us.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

I strongly recommend who is looking to create a mixing of the sound.
Adobe audition is the best tool for creating, mixing, manipulating the audio waves in a very lean and clear way.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Last year I am working on a project on which we have to create an intro for the application so I use the adobe audition for creating the background sound.

 ### 37. Adobe Audition doesn't with my MacBook Pro M1 and Apollo x8p

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David E. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I like the features and ease of use of Adobe Audition .. but.. see below...

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Audition + Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop + Apollo x8p = buzz on recording (Lenovo since it stopped when I bought the Macbook Pro)
Audition + Macbook Pro (M1 Chip) + Apollo x8p = Audition crashes and won't record
GarageBand + Macbook Pro (M1 Chip) + Apollo x8P = works (but not a fan of GarageBand yet anyways)

Audition needs more time to get working with the new Macbook chip. Keeps crashing and won't record.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use and combined with other Adobe products would help with development of training materials, once it works with the new Macbook that is.

 ### 38. Great for editing podcasts!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin T. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I love all the features it has to make my audio sound as good as possible.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

It's little difficult to understand how things work, but when you're unfamiliar with working with audio, that makes sense.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to edit podcasts, mostly. I've made presets to make that workflow super fast for me. I also use a plugin to get rid of horrible echo in the videos I shoot if needed.

 ### 39. Go to Software for Audio Production

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mukul C. | Creative Head, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The interface is super intuitive and user friendly. You can save your processing presets which helps in bulk processing.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

There's no specific thing that i dislike, it would be great if they can make an toned down version of audition for Mobile.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

For those, who are looking to process their audio for their existing video or solely wants to process audio for Music production or something else. Adobe Audition is the best place to do it. It have all the features that you'll ever need and comes handy when you are working on multiple audio files as it has processing presets available which helps to achieve the task quicker.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audition is helping me process noisy audios which i mostly shoot during day which includes a lot of traffic noise, air vent noise, overall environment sounds as well, which is sometimes not needed. Thus, i use audition to eliminate all of this unwanted sounds to have crispy and clear voice of the main character in the video.

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Learning the software is very intensive, a lot of shortcuts/buttons to learn to begin using the program.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recording and Cutting sound bites.

 ### 41. Best App to Edit Your Audio

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition has just about every tool you need to mix and fix your audio and sounds. Perfect for editing music or taking out unwanted background noisrs in your videos.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition is definatley more of an advanced app, so it does take some time to learn how to use. I feel as if there are so many more things you can do it Audition and I barely just scratch the surface.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

Adobe has lots of great tips, tricks, and tutorials to use so use those to your advantage because they are very helpful!

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Audition a lot of making music tracks longer and taking out mistakes or backgroound noise in my audio

 ### 42. Professional audio made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I love editing my audio with Audition because I can conclude with super professional results. I started with audio editing in Cool Edit many years ago and it's nothing like it.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I don't have anything I don't like, I love after

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I design and edit audio for switchboards and for videos and animations.

 ### 43. Good overall tool, but somewhat advanced if you only need to do simple sound editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick P. | Communications Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Overall this is a great tool with a lot of useful features. I have used it for a variety of different projects and it has always met my needs. Particularly, I like the noise reduction tools to decrease background noise in my audio files taken in videos. It interfaces very well with Premiere Pro as well.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

It is a bit complex for simple audio editing. If you only need to make audio adjustments and not do major edits, you can usually do them in a simpler manor (such as using the audio tools directly within Premiere in my case). The better your understanding of audio and audio tools, the easier the program is to use, but not as intuitive as some other Adobe products in my opinion.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

Use the Adobe Help website to help you problem solve if you cannot figure out how to do a particular task.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I primarily use Audition to edit the audio from videos I have created or I am editing within Premiere Pro. While you can extract the audio and edits in Audition go directly into Premiere, you do not always need to do so. The biggest feature I've used is noise reduction, though you need an audio sample of just the noise you are trying to remove in order to actually take out those frequencies.

 ### 44. Excellent recording, post-production audio software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc T. | Technology Design Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The interface is straightforward. Uses an established multitrack metaphor.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Would love the ability to pull audio tracks from video for noise reduction rather than going through another package to export the audio from the video.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Audition most often for cleaning up the audio from video shot in the field. Besides being an excellent multitrack recording platform, Audition also have an excellent set of noise reduction tools including taking a "noise print" of a portion of a track and applying it to reduce the noise level for the entire track.

 ### 45. Adobe Audition is all about audio

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dilip J. | Senior Salesforce Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe audition is a great tool to use it for the audio edit, create and remix the music to create a very good music.
It provides built in effects and very good audition of music.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

For professional version we need to pay the monthly subscription amount and no opportunities for students by the adobe

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

I would like to recommend the software who work on the preprocessing of the audio like bloggers, media and entertainment industry.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to create, edit and remix the different recorded music.
I love to use adobe audition. Every time i use it i feel very good to use audition.

 ### 46. My Ultimate recording Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lukunkha D. | Independent Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Template, user friendliness and features. Multi track system, being able to record mono tracks from Individual mics is dope.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Cloud Subscriptions basis and not straight buy. Not being able to own a licensed copy means that I can’t use it without internet connection most of the time with this new cloud feature they have. Even though I have a license, when I’m not connected to WiFi, I run into authentication issues because the software doesn’t register with my account.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use adobe for my music recording since 2010 and it’s been my software ever since.
It’s been a great tool for my podcast and interviews as well.

 ### 47. Ultimate in Audio Editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seth E. | Radio Announcer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I like the ease of use, and the options to edit. Adobe Audition does a fantastic job of editing podcasts, mixing music, and commercials. I also use it to record and prepare sports updates, and something have to do them in under a minute's time. We are offered software called Goldwave and it is easily superior.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

WIsh I understood all the features that I don't even realize are there. They have tutorials built in that I don't use. Also, it's by far the easy of all the other Adobe apps. I don't understand how some of the other apps work in Adobe, and i'd love to understand how video could be edited simply like it is in Audition. Also, when my screensaver activates, Audition sometimes asks me if I changed the microphone (which I didn't).

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

Adobe Audition is the gold standard for audio editing. I use it all day to edit podcasts and other audio. I edit commercials and mix it all there. I don't know everything about how to use it, but that's more my own doing. They have great tutorials.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I edit audio, and well as strip audio from video for use with my work. I have utilized the multi-track feature the most, as that is how I put together music in post-production of a report I edit. Also, can record commercials and insert sound bytes with complete ease. I do all my audio elements in post-production because I have Adobe audition.

 ### 48. Always a Solid Choice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin H. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Audition has always been simple to pick up and use. I've been a user since the days of Cool Edit Pro (aka the original product before Adobe purchased and rebranded it to Audition). Here's what works for me:
-There are two workspaces, Waveform and Multitrack, that keep the interface laid out for what task you're working on directly.
-The Effects Rack allows for a non-destructive way of editing your recording in the same way that layers do in Photoshop. You can tweak all you need without committing the changes until you're ready.
-The Multitrack workspace just makes sense out of the gate, especially if you've ever worked a mixer board.
-The newer learning tools added help you learn the basics of not only the software but recording in general.
-The Sound Destroyer Effect is incredible at removing unwanted artifacts in your audio

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I feel like the only thing that doesn't work for me is that the Effects Rack can't be saved with the file. I understand that you can't embed these things into the audio file, but having a proprietary format like every bit of Adobe software, including Multitrack Sessions in Audition, have would allow for this. Instead you must commit or lose anything in the rack that you have when you want to close the file. If you're done, then great. If it's just the end of the day you can't save your work, close out, and come back.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

My biggest piece of advice here is to get the entire Creative Cloud suite. Audition, at the time of this review, is $20.99 per month for just Audition. Creative Cloud, on the other hand, is $52.99 per month and you get the entirety of the Adobe ecosystem. Chances are slim that you will only need or use Audition. Being able to use an entire suite of production tools arms you to the teeth for growing your business and it's content. This goes double for anyone who is a freelancer. The more of the suite you know, the more projects open to you. Also, the more familiar you are with the other programs that interact with Audition, like Premier and After Effects, the better you will be able to create and work with files. This, again, makes you more attractive a freelancer to work with.

The last bit of advice I have is to always record a 5 second silence at the start of each take, or at least a 5 second silence at the start of the recording session. 5 seconds is all the algorithm needs to clean up the majority of artifacts in your audio.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Audition for editing all of the sound for short films and YouTube series. That can be as simple as cleaning up the mics from actors, to ADR, all the way up to the master mix with music and foley.

The built in tools in Premier work great for simple and high level changes, in the same way the Lightroom is great for basic photo retouching. Audition is more like Photoshop in this analogy because you can really dive in and change so much more. The most recent example I can offer is that our warehouse office has a transformer in the building that gives off a multi-harmonic hum. It's constant, thankfully, but it's more than auto tools can kill. Audition's tools have made sure no one has ever noticed it in my recordings.

 ### 49. The best tool for audio finishing touches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

After I finish working with any audio I always do a quick pass in audition and if needed work more thoroughly in it until it achieves the desired quality for the sound or video that is going to be distributed, it helps me catch those little details that otherwise can go unnoticed and as a plus, the GUI is in Spanish, I like to work in my native language whenever possible

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

It isn't intuitive at all, normally when working with music maker or acid I can easily ask my coworkers for feedback and they can point quite easily where it needs to be improved since practically all understand how to deal with the software even if they never have seen it before but audition while powerful is just hard to understand at first glance

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

Read the manual or watch tutorials before using it, it isn't as easy as it may appear at first glance

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Polishing audio and video that is going to be launched for distribution

 ### 50. Like audacity but a lot more advanced

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucia E. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I have been a user of Audacity for long since my main focus isn't the audio but I needed to work on it from time to time, but in short, Audition is a lot like Audacity but with a lot of advanced audio edition features that I hardly ever use and with a really big extra, the easiness of editing and sending to after effects or premiere pro without needing to save the file and exporting, that saves a lot of time and avoids an understandable loss of focus for the task switching.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

It isn't really needed a lot anymore but MIDI isn't supported. I know it isn't its main focus but supporting an extra audio format that hardly increases the size or complexity of the program should be a no brainer

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Audition:**

Even when you don't need to save the files so often it is a good practice to have when you are done, a quick Control S can bring you peace of mind.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing audio for tasks more complicated than increasing or decreasing the volume when working with premier pro or after effects
