"Powerful Motion Graphics with an Easy Adobe-Friendly Workflow"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe After Effects?

It can create a wide range of motion graphics, and it’s easy to pick up if you’re already familiar with Adobe products. I also like the customisable workspace, and the ability to import Illustrator files to animate them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe After Effects?

The UI can feel overcomplicated at times, although it has improved a lot over the past five years. If you don’t have a powerful machine, rendering can be really laggy, and since it isn’t web-based, it can be difficult to get a clear preview—especially for more complex animations. "Brings Designs to Life with Dynamic Motion"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe After Effects?

What I like most about Adobe After Effects is how it can take a simple design and turn it into something dynamic and engaging through motion, making my creative ideas feel more alive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe After Effects?

What I dislike most about Adobe After Effects is how slow it can become on larger projects—it sometimes feels like I’m waiting more than I’m actually creating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Endless Creativity with Powerful Effects"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe After Effects?

I use Adobe After Effects to create engaging videos and GIFs for the business. I like the vast amount of effects and animation tools the platform has to offer, helping me create visually engaging designs. I also enjoy the user interface of the site, which is similar to other Adobe platforms, making it easy to navigate. The initial setup was effortless as we bought the Creative Cloud package and had it all set up in no time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe After Effects?

Rendering times have been my biggest issue with the site. When creating videos with a high number of assets and animations it's hard for me to see if a certain style has worked for me as it takes a while for it to render and view Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Effects, RAM Usage Could Improve"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe After Effects?

I love Adobe After Effects for its impressive control over every effect, layer, null, and motion. Despite looking like an airplane cockpit, once you use it, you never want to switch to anything else. I love its features like nulls, masking, animations, and color correction, which make my projects look like Hollywood productions. The layers offer me more control, and I find the After Effects timeline far superior to the fusion page in DaVinci Resolve. The initial setup was super easy—just install, open, and create a new composition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe After Effects?

It's usage of RAM. After Effects is perfect but it taking all of my 32GB of RAM is too much. Maybe reduce its RAM usage if it isn't rendering, or provide an option to prerender heavy layers so that I do not have to lower my preview resolution when doing big projects. 4/5
What do you like best about Adobe After Effects?

best part for me is how much creative freedom it gives. You can turn simple ideas into really smooth and eye-catching animations, and the motion graphics tools are super powerful once you get used to them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe After Effects?

Sometimes the software feels a bit heavy, especially on bigger projects. Preview rendering can slow down, and the UI can feel overwhelming for new users at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unmatched Creative Control for Pro Motion Graphics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe After Effects?

Its flexibility for creating professional-level motion graphics and visual effects feels unmatched. It gives me complete creative control, from simple text animations to complex, cinematic effects, and it integrates smoothly with other tools like Adobe Premiere Pro. The layer-based system, powerful keyframing, and the vast library of plugins and presets make it possible to bring almost any visual idea to life. Whether I’m editing YouTube videos, making intros, or working on high-end projects, After Effects stands out for its precision, versatility, and industry-standard capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe After Effects?

It can be quite resource-intensive and slow, especially on mid-range systems, which often results in lag and long rendering times. The interface and overall workflow also come with a steep learning curve for beginners, so it can feel overwhelming at first. Even simple tasks sometimes end up feeling unnecessarily complicated compared to more intuitive tools, and frequent crashes—or having to constantly manage cache and previews—can break the creative flow. While it’s undeniably powerful, it really demands both capable hardware and a lot of patience to use efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Animation Tool with a Steep Learning Curve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe After Effects?

I like that you can bring your Illustrator assets into Adobe After Effects. I've got different animations, brand elements, and UI compositions that I pull in from sources like Figma. From there, I can use these assets inside of Adobe After Effects to create different animations, such as items flying in, and visually attractive elements that make the video engaging. I appreciate the ability to bring in assets and make them come to life, like making a logo bounce or elements scale in and out, which make the video look visually appealing. I can bring different assets from Figma to create mockups of screens and have them morph and rotate, making product demonstrations look real. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe After Effects?

I do find there's a little bit of a learning curve when you're creating these apps and assets. So when I'm creating an item in Adobe After Effects, I sometimes find that learning curve a little bit confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"After Effects Feels Like Magic for Fast, Professional Animations"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe After Effects?

After Effects is pure magic for quick turnarounds.

After Effects is pure magic for quick turnarounds. The keyframe system gives you complete control over text animations and motion, and everything syncs seamlessly with Photoshop and Illustrator. Once you master the layers, you can knock out professional-looking animations in minutes instead of hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe After Effects?

After Effects can be frustratingly slow and unreliable.

After Effects can be frustratingly slow and unreliable. The software constantly hangs when working with larger files, and the cache system eats up drive space without warning. Crashes are unpredictable and annoying, especially when you're on a deadline and lose unsaved work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

n my daily work, I create many motion videos and GIFs for marketing ads and in-app interactions. Adobe After Effects helps me a lot in this process.
