There is a huge amount that you can do with after effects, there's clearly a reason why huge companies and film makers use it. If you're an amateur or don't know your way around Ae, then it can be really overwhelming and daunting. When I first used it, I did so much wrong and had to start again from the beginning as I really struggled to understand all the small buttons.
