AfterEffects enjoys our suffering **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2020 **What do you like best about Adobe After Effects?** - It makes it possible to make aesthetically pleasing motion graphics for our digital displays - It has plenty of features to help create zazzy motion graphics and animated text - That's all I've got. **What do you dislike about Adobe After Effects?** - It's not intuitive at all. Everything is more complicated than it needs to be. For example, to enlarge a vector graphic properly I need to find the tiny icon that will make it render better. Why doesn't it automatically render optimally? Because AfterEffects hates us. - A lot of functionality and shortcuts are different from other Adobe programs - It's buggy. Lots of crashes and corrupt files, especially when working with files on the server - It's sluggish **Recommendations to others considering Adobe After Effects:** Ehhh, are you sure you've exhausted all of your other options? There are probably people who like AfterEffects, but not anyone I know at my workplace. We all groan when we're assigned to an AfterEffects project. If you do go ahead with it, prepare for a long and confusing learning curve. **What problems is Adobe After Effects solving and how is that benefiting you?** It makes it possible to make basic motion graphics for our digital signage.
