## About Adobe Acrobat

For more than 30 years, Acrobat has been the trusted name in document workflow — helping businesses create, sign, and share with confidence. As one of the leading enterprise document platforms that scales for global teams, Acrobat has evolved beyond the PDF. Now with Acrobat Studio, it has been reimagined for how modern teams work: smarter, more collaborative, and powered by AI. Acrobat Studio builds on everything professionals know from Acrobat Pro — powerful PDF editing, signing, and reviewing — and expands it into a connected workspace where teams can create, collaborate, and communicate in entirely new ways. While Acrobat Pro focuses on the PDF itself, Acrobat Studio connects the full document journey, from insight to action. With PDF Spaces, teams can bring related documents together, chat with AI Assistants that summarize content or surface key takeaways, and keep everyone aligned without endless versions or email threads. Express Premium tools make it easy to remix or reuse that same content into branded presentations, visuals, or reports — helping teams communicate ideas faster and more confidently. Security remains a constant. Acrobat follows Adobe's Secure Product Lifecycle to safeguard data at every stage, with encryption, access controls, and enterprise-grade compliance. For organizations evaluating document automation tools suitable for multi-region, multi-team deployments, Acrobat Studio delivers the scale, security, and integrations to support it. ## Adobe Acrobat Reviews
  ### 1. Adobe Acrobat DC

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like the ability to fill and sign documents within the program. It helps greatly especially now that we are all working remotely for the time being.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I don't think it is very user friendly and I don't like that I can't retract signer reviews/approvals or send them updates/reminders if they have not completed documents. For example, after a certain amount of time, if the approving individual has not signed the document, I wish there was a setting to send them automatic reminders.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the beginning of 2020 we tried to switch gears to a more paperless system to be more timely and efficient. Adobe has really helped because I don't have to print documents to have people sign, just to scan them back on to the computer to save on the Network. This makes it easy to just send them an e-mail and they have the option of saving a copy of the document themselves as well.

  ### 2. The most powerful document format is stymied by a clunky and non-intuitive editor - Acrobat

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vineet S. | Head of Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Whether it's changing text and images with no restrictions or signing off on a document and adding a password, Acrobat truly lets you do it all. It figures - Adobe invented the PDF!

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Acrobat is riddled with feature creep and probably the most intuitive-non-intuitive design I've seen in a ext editor. At first, the buttons and tools seem to be there, but using them and getting the results you want are different things. Often frustration leads to simply Googling the task needed to accomplish and then going with a third party browser only solution which looks worse than Acrobat but performs better - possible made by a frustrated Acrobat user encountering the same problems.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

If you're a professional, go for it - it will meet most of your requirements. I get it as part of the Adobe CS package so cost doesn't bother me. However, you may find yourself trying to do things, and then wondering why you pay for something when online tools solve the problems just fine.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Here are some of my problems with Acrobat! Adobe if you're reading this, please do something in your next release:

1. Hard to align images when dropped into the document
2. Hard to merge documents with any sense of control
3. Impossible to control file size in any significant way
4. I have to YouTube or Google how to do many simple things in general - which I don't really have to do with a Microsoft Office product.

I use Acrobat to do the above, and then more, such as sign off on proposals and even edit other PDFs.

Probably the biggest benefit to PDF is that they open on literally all browsers and devices in ALL parts of the world with ease. PDF is the only document I'm comfortable opening on my iPhone or iPad.

Also, version control won't throw formatting out of whack when dealing with older PDFs on newer devices, or vice versa.

  ### 3. its an ok program but not the best anymore

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad B. | Estimator , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

its the default program to read PDF files and can manipulate files to add images and send to clients.
easy to create signed PDF and locked files for protection.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

i find it had in Adobe DC to edit PDF and send to sub contractors its become harder and harder to modify PDF files it use to be easier but i guess that want people to use other adobe programs for that.
how adboe is not longer making an all in one program to modify files

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

if you need a PDF reader that will let you edit files and send files to be signed this program will help alot especaily since its free

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

trying to send drawing and coments on plans it use to be the easy program to use but now it takes longer to add images and coments and if someone doesnt have the right program it makes it harder to read comments.

  ### 4. Adobe Acrobat

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

The tool is simple and has used friendly interface.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Not enough features in free version. Need to pay for most of "daily" required features.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Signing documents, populating blank PDFs.

  ### 5. Great for reading, not for editing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savannah S. | Research assistant , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like the ability to review PDFs and highlight them. I frequently use them for scientific papers and for reading documents.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I don't like the limited ability to edit documents. You can't redact portions, rotate, edit text, etc...without buying a premium version of the software which is subscription based rather than an outright purchase. additionally, it shows these features as available in the software, so you don't know it isn't included until you try to use it and it opens the page to buy the software subscription

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving the problems of being able to read PDFs, highlight, and view figures and text.

  ### 6. Adobe Acrobat DC

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

The upside of using DC is primarily the cleaner look of the layout. However, there are some functions that aren't as readily available as in past versions.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The downside is when you attempt to combine files into a PDF. The Pro version made this easier to navigate to and less likely to place items in the wrong order.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary usage is the fill and sign as well as the protection to keep certain confidential items from users who might not be authorized to view the content.

  ### 7. It's an easy-to-use document viewer

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas S. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

We use the "fill and sign" tool quite a bit to sign contracts and PDF documents with the state government. It works well and is a quick and secure way to digitally sign PDF documents. The edit PDF function also comes in handy. When people send us PDF documents that are not formatted correctly or we just want to make minor changes, it is easy to fix the files. The "read out loud" function is handy for our clients with disabilities, especially those with low vision. Many people who have screen readers do not know how to use their software, but the PDF software is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Too many software updates. It's annoying to have to update and reboot the computer. Also, the accessibility features should be standard with the software, rather than an extra cost. Having people with disabilities being able to use your software shouldn't cost anything.

Other than that, I can't say there is anything I dislike. It opens PDF files quickly and does not slow down the computer.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Download it and try it. See if it works for you and your organization. It has been very useful for us when we need to digitally sign documents for the state.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It met our need to view PDF files and digitally sign PDF documents. It is easy for us to create new digital signatures for new staff, when we need to validate PDF documents with the state. We have also used the editing feature to make some accessibility updates to PDF documents.

  ### 8. Acrobat is useful for quickly opening PDF documents, yet very clunky for many other tasks.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos P. | Architectural Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like that it is relatively easy to start up the software, and that the basic features of zooming and panning operate smoothly even within PDF's with heavy vector graphics. It also very easy to modify PDFs in terms of adding or subtracting pages from the PDF or combining multiple PDFs.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I think that the software is very cumbersome to use especially for providing comments to the PDFs. The process is computationally intensive and slow to even open up the commenting panels, and then the tools themselves are not user friendly. For example, it is frustrating to try to drag or move a comment bubble. For manipulation and commenting of PDF documents, there is much better software such as Bluebeam Revu.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

For light modifications of PDFs, Acrobat is worth a consideration for purchase, yet it is very limited in its capabilities to help you graphically edit PDF documents. For heavy duty use and commenting, other software would be recommended. In the architecture industry for example, Bluebeam Revu would be a much better alternative and completely make up for Acrobat's limitations.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Acrobat to open and rearrange the page order of large drawing sets or to combine multiple files. Primarily Acrobat has been useful in this manner from the production side. Acrobat has also been helpful in providing full screen presentations to clients.

  ### 9. Excellent PDF document reader with integrated tools.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manuel D. | Graphic Designer and Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Besides being able to read my PDF files, I can protect them so that they are not edited, I also like the annotation system, since it is very useful when I review the documents. Adobe Acrobat DC offers me the possibility to connect with cloud storage platforms. What helps me save my work and be able to share it more easily with my colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The free version is very limited in terms of options, since it forces you to buy them, also to be able to share files, it is necessary to have an Adobe ID.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

It is software that must be installed on your computer because it will provide excellent options that will help you in the office.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a very necessary tool to read and edit PDF files, I use it daily to correct documents and make important annotations, I also use your mobile application to carry my documents wherever I go.

  ### 10. Collaboration Tool

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Widely used industry standard for sharing and signing documents

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The document fields are slow to load and sometimes difficult to fill in.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Not great for creating PDFs from scratch but good for editing them

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Often used for sharing and signing forms, as well as other documentation.

  ### 11. Standard adobe user

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like using PDF format for reports to ensure no editing will be done. I also like the tab function available so I can have multiple reports open at once.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The editing / “fill and sign” options are difficult to use

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use adobe for all patient test reports. It is the standard PDF reader employed by my company and overall works for what I need it to do.

  ### 12. Manage your PDF files in one place

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura G. | Software developer and systems analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It is a very light software, I can sort my documents to find them more easily, I always have a very good experience when reading my documents, I also like their basic tools, such as the option to add notes and highlight the text since they are very useful.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Honestly, this software disappoints me a little because in the tools section there are many options to choose from, however, you can not access them without having logged in.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

It is a good software to be able to read PDF files, but keep in mind that the additional options it displays in its interface can be expensive.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it daily to read my PDF files on my personal computer or on my mobile, and since the search option is very good, I use it to quickly find certain parts of a document.

  ### 13. Acrobat Acrobat DC is good but you are handcuffed to use this for most PDF editing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

PDF's are great because they dont take up too much memory and easy to load.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Making calculatable forms is what I use this for but the javascript programming is really glitchy. The whole editing process is real glitchy, it needs to get fixed.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

fix the glitchyness

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

making calculatable forms for our analysts to use.

  ### 14. The Gold Standard in Document Preservation

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin P. | Senior Graphic Designer, Insurance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

The Value of Acrobat is that you know what you're getting and giving, whether you're a printing press, an archivist or just someone looking for a tax form. It's hard to find anything that does this software as well as Acrobat, though third parties PDF creators are starting to nip at Adobe's heels.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Cost is definitely a factor: while Adobe Acrobat is cheaper than other Adobe subscriptions, it doesn't have nearly the features and doesn't feel like a great value. Third-party creators like FoxIt have 95% of Acrobat's features for a fraction of the price (especially in Adobe's subscription world).

While lots of programs can write to PDF, Acrobat DC does some slick things like editable form fields. However, when you can edit *everything*, it's not always clear what's locked down for the reader user, vs what's editable for your full version.Adobe needs to implement a "fast tab" preview or some other way to make that clear.

Sometimes documents run into font license issues where an initial software recognizes the license, but Acrobat doesn't, resulting in some awkward font replacements.

Finally, some of the advanced features (like LiveCycle forms) aren't as intuitive as the rest of Acrobat's UI. That's unfortunate because it can do some powerful things if it were just easier to learn.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Adobe is preferred mostly because it's the standard, and Acrobat is no exception. It's hard to find a more well-known archival document than a PDF. However, Acrobat is expensive, so you can always try third-party PDF writers before dedicating yourself to Adobe's monthly fees, especially if you simply need to create PDFs without fancy features like interactivity.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting files ready for print, archiving document for audit, preserving published pieces to ensure we have them on record, and digitizing printed items for a paperless office.

  ### 15. Non-essential but convenient program

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Easily allows you to create and edit PDFs even in high resolution. Very convenient also for modifying already created PDFs or for creating PDFs with fillable forms.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The price is high, but it is part of the Adobe suite. There are other free programs to do the same things, but they are less intuitive to use.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allowed me to process PDFs quickly, even for HD graphics.

  ### 16. Adobe PDF Editor review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Powerful tool to edit PDFs with a lot more flexibility then most of text editors.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The conversion to PDF using Adobe is not always easygoing, it always stucks in the process of saving under Win 10.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Great, flexible and powerful tool for editing PDFs, especially Resumes.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly Resume and CV editing and updating, you don't have to go back to the original form (latex, docx), but you can do it directly on the pdf file.

  ### 17. Document Cloud for sharing and storage

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Shared cloud storage, multiple file formats, file conversion ability to sign documents.
Ability to organize documents. able to change font across whole document.
Able to split or merge PDF documents.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Have to download products on multiple computers Cost can get a little high per use.
I don't like that as Administrator I can't reset a users password myself I have to have that user submit a password reset.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Pricing can get a little high make sure you only add users that are actively needing to you the product as you will be charged per user.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Were a Law office so we work with a lot of PDF files, so the ability to edit and share PDF files in the cloud is nice.

  ### 18. Tool to transform and edit PDF files.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica G. | Director of advertising and marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like the fact that I can add security to my documents, edit it and also be able to highlight text in a very easy way.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I have to pay for all their functions and sometimes they freeze when the file I try to open is large.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

It is a very necessary software for office work, and its functions are very useful when handling PDF files.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me a lot of comfort when reading and being able to edit PDF documents, it also helps me to be able to organize all my documents in one place.

  ### 19. it was my..

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shauna L. | Virtual Assistant Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

This was by far my faviorte pdf creator. It was simple to use and the options were endless. I could save and print and even send within the ap itself. Love love loved it! but....

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I completely disagree with the monthly subscription costs. why buy a product and then have to pay for a monthly subscription. Its certainly isn't something I am interested in adding to my montly budget.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Just be fully aware that this software costs for a monthly suscription of roughly 15.00 a month.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can make endless templates and documents, I can even send documents off within the applicaton to have digitally signed by potentional clients. `

  ### 20. PDF Editing Software - Good But Not Perfect

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like that I can rely on Adobe Acrobat DC to be reliable, as I believe Adobe invented the PDF Portable Document Format.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I dislike that it takes so long to generate thumbnails for a document, so I can quickly look through and find the pages I need. It is also troublesome selecting multiple pages, so I can delete them.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Do 'Generate Thumbnails' in your scanning processing action, then it'll be faster to load up the thumbnails the next time you work with the document.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Acrobat DC to take the scanned documents from the records room, and find cover pages and empty pages, and rearrange or delete them.

  ### 21. Adobe Acrobat is useful when it works properly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Selina I. | Clinical Information Manager, Medical Practice, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like being able to merge multiple documents into one single file and being able to edit a document as well, like adding a signature, time stamp, or even redacting the document.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Once a signature has been added to a file, that file cannot be used again! This is extremely frustrating when the template file has been saved with a signature, and there is no way to edit the signature to reflect the current date.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Utilize all of the functions - like the sign, edit, text sidebars.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While working in research, is it crucial to have templates of documents and forms on hand. Adobe Acrobat DC has proven to be beneficial in this capacity - being able to edit documents for each patient that signs consent/starts a trial.

  ### 22. Editing PDFs

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle T. | Operations Manager & Web Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like being able to edit PDFs, most specifically the text. It can be difficult to make proper edits that don't look terrible if I try using any other editing programs.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

When editing, the formatting can get messed up without you actually doing anything. Simply clicking to edit the field will sometimes throw the formatting all out of whack.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Its great for editing PDFs

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can make quick edits and revisions for our sales team.

  ### 23. It use to be faster

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like being able to edit PDFs, delete pages, add pages, create fillable forms, and all the other great things that have been added to Acrobat over the years.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I feel like Adobe isn't really interested in optimizing the software they put out. In Acrobat, you can speed it up by disabling some web services which seem to slow down everything no matter how fast your connection is, but it seems to be slower at handling files than it use to be.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fillable forms, proofing, printing, flattening, color verification, etc. It is generally very useful.

  ### 24. Adobe Acrobat DC

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It is useful for very basic editing. I find that Adobe Acrobat Pro is better for more in-depth annotation.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Adobe Acrobat DC is fine for very basic editing, but if you have a complex piece with heavy graphics, you are going to wan to spend the money of Adobe Acrobat Pro.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Good for simple editing of non-complex pieces. For heavy text and graphics, recommend Adobe Acrobat Pro.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's good for simple editing of any size piece.

  ### 25. Good for viewing all sorts of files

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It helpful to be able to send a file in pdf form because it looks a lot more professional than Microsoft word.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Hard to edit certain documents, when there is a fill feature, because it doesn’t wrap text is just makes it smaller.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Get a version that also lets you edit PDFs.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to send documents to our members in a more professional program.

  ### 26. Nicer

**Reviewed by:** Rachel S. | Leasing Agent, Food & Beverages, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Its good for a lot of different things so we keep it around.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I wish there was a way to use it easy. I am use to Word.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

  ### 27. Solid and secure, somewhat convoluted

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate W. | Student Account Representative, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like the ability to securely and easily sign and print documents, while managing and going back and forth between multiple easily. The browser-like format is intuitive and simple to use. It's a good experience overall, and has no performance issues

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The interface seems somewhat muddled and can be irritating. Some of the icons are excessively large and colorful, while some of the things I use more regularly seemed to placed in out of the way areas. It can struggle to recognize permission from an administrator.I

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

It can be a little difficult to get used to , but once you figure out the layout it's excellent in every way.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use AADC to create secure, un-editable financial records, and it accomplishes this quite well. It's a benefit to have an extra level of protection against fraud.

  ### 28. It can be better

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

The several kind of formats that can be loaded in the program. Integration to other software.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Sometimes is a bit slow, most of the time when try to open a large badge of pages.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

It can be adaptable to all kind of business

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Printing in PDF and comments

  ### 29. Really good for reading, and making minor edits to pdf documents

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan C. | Owner, Law Practice, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

My favorite feature is the ability to mark up a PDF document directly from my laptop computer without needing to print out a document, and then being able to email it back

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The program is a bit slow, you need to navigate through, and re-open the same document in order to edit it, and, to the best of my knowledge, it doesn't readily integrate with scanning programs, and a different program is needed for that

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Modifying court forms and those for my kids' schools so I don't need to print everything out and scan it

  ### 30. Adobe Acrobat

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It's included as part of the Creative Cloud subscription, so it's a no-brainer since I already pay for it.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The latest version is quite different from the last one. It's more of a learning curve then it should be. The idea of a universal document format is great but it should be easy to use and transparent.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF files are everywhere so it's essential for a lot of businesses.

  ### 31. Decent software for general PDF creation and mark-ups

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Fairly easy to use software, however, finding the tools that you want to use can be cumbersome. The ability to add notes and annotations to pdf mark-ups is convenient but is limited in assortment or annotation tools.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Handling stamps and seals is very convoluted and difficult to manage. The inability to set a scale for drawings is frustrating. No ability to do take-off counts or quantities is also a detriment.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create PDF's that can have notes and annotations added to them.

  ### 32. Subscription Model for Adobe Acrobate

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I think that the most compelling and useful feature is the ability to embed electronic signatures. The adoption and acceptance of e-signatures have saved vast amounts of time and energy from having to print, sign and scan documents.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

What I don't like is the interface used to save documents. Also, the subscription cost is too high in my opinion. Therefore, I have let my subscription lapse.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Lower the subscription cost

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary business problem that is solved is being able to readily share word documents as an uneditable format.

  ### 33. Offers all your PDF editing needs.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason W. | Creative Designer, Events Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

The ability to edit text and imagery, without having to dive into original design files.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Check and sign limitations - this could be expanded on to allow use for Agency proofing.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

It's worth upgrading from Acrobat Reader - purely for editing purposes.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time-saving tool for making quick edits to PDF's.

  ### 34. Adobe Review Office Support Staff

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Can be used for many different business functions. Great software to use for an office. Have used this for many years. Saving documents as a PDF is good to use with customers.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

would like full features for FREE. The Full version has more features you are able to access and is very easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Pay for full Adobe for best use

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can not edit and save to drive

  ### 35. Poor User Experience, but Without It You Can't Access Much

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like that you can edit pdfs, merge them, and sign everything quickly.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

If you have never used it before, they don't really do a good job of explaining where everything is, and their user help information on their website is not very informational.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

I would use the most devices possible before purchasing a second license.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Viewing documents and sending them off with updates quickly to customers.

  ### 36. you need adobe

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like the way it lets you open documents from the internet even in restricted view

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

sometimes it locks the document but I'm sure that is due to copyright

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

recommend using adobe to rearrange large files that have been collecting from different content. nice for making handbooks and guides

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

collecting documents and rearranging orders of files

  ### 37. Nice, but liked older version better

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

This version tries to do too much. Platform is memory hog and not good for small business.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

OCR seemed to work better in X. DC does not work well w/o internet connection.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

No

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Forms and merged PDF files.

  ### 38. An advanced PDF editor that proves more difficult than it should

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Acrobat DC (Pro) provides the ability to quickly and easily edit those PDF's that require the smallest of changes, yet, not other application can modify them! On paper, what this application will do is anything you could possible ever want to do with a PDF. Background colors, stylish fonts, high res graphics, watermarks - you name it - Acrobat DC can do it.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Maybe it is because Adobe are trying to accomplish too much with just one application, but the software is glitchy. It crashes often, it doesn't always respond in the expected manner when undertaking simple tasks like dragging text from one part of the document to the other. It's ability to embed fonts for display, yet not for editing is inherently frustrating, and overall it's just not reliable many times when you need it to be. Adobe Support is virtually non-existent.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Consider what you anticipate needing to do with your documents before purchasing Acrobat DC. While there aren't many alternatives, you might be able to get away with using a word processor instead.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drafting and touching up company documents in a widely usable format for e-mail circulation. No other document editor can manipulate a PDF in the way that Acrobat DC can.

  ### 39. Adobe Acrobat DC - Powerful but Failing UI

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff J. | Engineer, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Acrobat offers a wide array of features that make authoring and editing PDFs a breeze. Whether you need to do simple tasks or complicated print production, Acrobat has the features that you need.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The redesigned UI is focused on the GUI, and unlike other applications that have gone this way but kept most of their existing shortcuts, Adobe has done away with many shortcuts that make the program efficient to use for frequent users. Now you must click here, there, and everywhere in order to accomplish the same things.

For those who don't know, the UI has essentially segmented into objective-based views called tools. Working towards a single objective is thus streamlined, but doing many things with a file means going back and forth between multiple tools.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

New users will have a breeze working with Acrobat, finding and using the tools they need. However, efficiency can be difficult to achieve and there may be other companion applications you should consider for specific needs.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transmitting documents in a non-editable format, most commonly letters, contracts, and construction drawings. We have used Acrobat for many years despite considering alternatives... the features Acrobat provides are the most complete set available.

  ### 40. Adobe Acrobat DC

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It's a full featured pdf application that is an industry standard.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

It's expensive and quite bulky. Steep learning curve for users who have never used Adobe products. Corporate licensing is a nightmare.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

If you can afford it and your users are familiar with it, it gets the job done decently.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating and modifying scanned documents in an electronic format.

  ### 41. MORE DIFFICULT TO USE. fOCUSED ON GLEANING REVENUE

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith R. K. | Staff Competitive Intelligence, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Ability to easily manipulate PDF's when needed

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Current version charges for each little component. Feels like your getting "nickle & dime'd" when you use it

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Best program on the market to create protected documents, but can get expensive.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creation of PDF's, modifications of PDF's

  ### 42. Powerful PDF editor and creator, but difficult to use

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Acrobats editing and creation features are second to none. Form creation is extremely powerful as Acribats auto-form detect is usually pretty accurate. Filling in the gaps where auto-form detect doesn’t work is clunky but doable. Editing existing PDFs typically works well, specifically in keeping existing formats and matching fonts.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Extremely expensive requiring - $15/month/computer for the Pro version and $13 for the standard version for as long as you use the program. Can still by it outright for $450 for the Pro version and $300 for standard. Competing products cost significantly less. As powerful a PDF creator/editor it is, it can be difficult to use. The interface is very clunky, and it is not always apparent where to go and what to click on to access certain features. Creating forms can be a lesson infrustrations as the auto-form detection does not always do a good job in detecting the various fields in a form. Editing an existing document can sometimes cause formatting issues which can be difficult, if not impossib,e to overcome.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Heavily weigh what PDF editing/creation features you need. Acrobat is extremely expensive and may not be worth it if all you need is to be able to create PDFs for Word docs or the like (there are a multitude of free options for that) or light editing of PDFs (there are much less expensive options for that). If you create editable PDF forms regularly, however, Acrobat is second to none in being able to so effectively.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating editable forms is the primary use, and it does work well for that. Being able to make minor edits to existing PDFs is a nice additional feature.

  ### 43. It does what's needed, but could be much better.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan M. | Cadd Manager / Senior Engineering Tech, Civil Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It is plenty capable of editing pdf's with many manipulation tools in a very simple layout.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

It's too simple and the layout is a bit confusing with having to go to a backend screen to get to each tool. Requires a lot of back and forth to the backend screen to get to different tools. The cost is also pretty substantial for what it does.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Take a look at Bluebeam, it's cheaper and more capable.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not many since we have moved on to Bluebeam, but before that we used it for general pdf editing.

  ### 44. Quick & simple file transfers

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like that I can share files of any size from my phone.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I dislike the dashboard. It’s not very intuitive. It took me awhile to get used to it.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my business I am constantly sharing files with clients & the fact that I can not only have access to this program on the go, it’s make sharing SO much easier. I can share files with multiple clients and track the progress.

  ### 45. Great product, but don't like the contract.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like the ability to edit all types of documents.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The year long contract isn't great they want you to pay half of your remaining year to break it.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Make sure it's something you need long term because of the contract.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to edit documents and communicate with my accountant makes p life easier.

  ### 46. Non-intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It appears to be set up for the phone or ipad. Very stripped down interface.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

It is childlike. The software does not seem to be created for adults. It does not have the capabilities of the more powerful Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. (At least, I can't find them!)

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Go back to Adobe Acrobat XI if you need to do anything more than view pdfs.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. I use it only for viewing pdfs. I go back to Adobe Acrobat XI Pro when I have a file that requires more than viewing because this new version of Adobe Acrobat is weak and not intuitive.

  ### 47. Adobe Acrobat Review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick T. | Art Director, Publishing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like that you can edit scanned documents—Instantly edit paper scans—as naturally as any other file.
and create protected PDFs.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

It gets slow sometimes and lags. Unless you buy certain plug-ins, it's difficult to edit PDFs.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Best format for vector editable files and books.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I export PDFs to Office and Convert PDFs to Word, Excel, or PowerPoint formats.

  ### 48. Adobe Acrobat DC

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** joanne l. | Lawyer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

What I like about it right now is you can export to word. I also like that it is free. It takes pictures too and leave it unchanged.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I don like that the company adobe because they constantly asks for updates and slow down your computer.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Best Free thing you can do

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has solved my document sharing problems.

  ### 49. Good and useful product that complicates the install process and worsens the UI

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

At it's core, the Adobe Acrobat is what you'd expect. It is good at it's basic needs: creating and working with PDF files. Some pros: fast loading of PDF files, encryption and spell check. Additionally, adding photos to a document is easier than in previous versions.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

It forces you to create an adobe account when installing the application. I am also not a fan of the new UI (too cartoony). When working with multiple documents, there are buffering moments that slow down the usability.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Still a great product but the UI changes are not a step in the right direction.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating, editing and managing PDF files. Sending files for client to securely sign. I also use the program to convert PDF files to Word docs to allow others to make edits.

  ### 50. No real alternative, works decently but slow and buggy.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

With this professional version, I like that I can create and fill out forms and also break apart existing documents. I also like that I can combine a whole bunch of documents into one.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Weird "save" interface, tends to freeze up, and no built-in option for reducing file size. I resort to having to use an online solution to reduce file size, frequently.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to "print" documents from any program into a PDF for easy sharing that doesn't change the format of the original piece.
