## About Adobe Acrobat
Acrobat: Trusted for documents. Now built for how work really happens. For more than 30 years, Acrobat has been the trusted name in document workflow — helping businesses create, sign, and share with confidence. As one of the leading enterprise document platforms that scales for global teams, Acrobat has evolved beyond the PDF. Now with Acrobat Studio, it has been reimagined for how modern teams work: smarter, more collaborative, and powered by AI. Acrobat Studio builds on everything professionals know from Acrobat Pro — powerful PDF editing, signing, and reviewing — and expands it into a connected workspace where teams can create, collaborate, and communicate in entirely new ways. While Acrobat Pro focuses on the PDF itself, Acrobat Studio connects the full document journey, from insight to action. With PDF Spaces, teams can bring related documents together, chat with AI Assistants that summarize content or surface key takeaways, and keep everyone aligned without endless versions or email threads. Express Premium tools make it easy to remix or reuse that same content into branded presentations, visuals, or reports — helping teams communicate ideas faster and more confidently. Security remains a constant. Acrobat follows Adobe's Secure Product Lifecycle to safeguard data at every stage, with encryption, access controls, and enterprise-grade compliance. For organizations evaluating document automation tools suitable for multi-region, multi-team deployments, Acrobat Studio delivers the scale, security, and integrations to support it. From small teams to large enterprises, it turns everyday PDFs into powerful, intelligent workspaces — helping people move ideas forward and communicate with greater clarity and impact.

## Adobe Acrobat Reviews
 ### 1. Industry standard but slow, heavy, and expensive — I prefer Edge & office suites

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin S. | C, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Adobe is the standard for the industry. However, I think there are better options out there that are much more affordable and often faster. Adobe Reader takes a long time to open. Most browsers now support reading pdf files and Microsoft Edge often kidnaps the default application settings. I have tired of fighting MS and now use Edge as my primary pdf reader. Office suites generally take care of my conversion of documents to the pdf format.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Adobe products tend to have a lot of overhead. I prefer to use lighter weight products, or products that I already have - like office suites, either MS or LibreOffice. Adobe Reader is free, but their other products are not. I do not use their features often enough to justify the cost.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I try to avoid Adobe and use alternative products like LibreOffice, or Foxit PDF Reader.

 ### 2. Bloated Yet Stable PDF Solution with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roy S. | Production Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like that some things in Adobe Acrobat can be automated and invoked through various actions from Adobe InDesign and other applications, which makes using it for these tasks nice. Allowing interaction between design applications through scripts and accessing the functionality of Adobe Acrobat with its job options is valuable. This capability makes it possible to create multiple PDFs in one execution, which I find very beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The latest iterations of Adobe Acrobat have become very bloated and problematic. I think they've degraded the quality of the experience for users, especially in comparing files, zoom capabilities, slowness of refreshes, and just the standard functionality. You just want a simple program without a lot of bloat, but the current user experience is very bloated and too complicated, resulting in a lot of slow processes. It's very frustrating.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Acrobat to send files in PDF format as required by publications. It's stable and useful for that, although the PDF creation's bloat makes it challenging.

 ### 3. Predatory Cancelation Policy, becareful

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan T. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It has several use cases when editing documents/pdfs, but overall just fine and not worth the hassle of working with Adobe Inc.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

⭐⭐ 2/5 — Unfriendly cancellation policy for short-term use
Adobe Acrobat Pro is a capable product, but the subscription cancellation policy is problematic. If you cancel your plan, access to paid features is revoked immediately, even if you have already paid for the remainder of the billing period, with no prorated refund or continued access.

This behavior is not clearly disclosed upfront and is out of step with how most SaaS subscriptions work, especially for users who only need the product briefly and cancel responsibly to avoid forgetting later.

The software itself works fine, but this policy alone makes it hard to recommend for short-term or occasional use.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Document editing

 ### 4. Frustrating Cancellation Process with Cost Concerns

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maneet S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Nothing

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I had a bullshit experience with Adobe Acrobat. When I tried to cancel my plan, it kept logging me out two times, and three times it showed an error when I was canceling. After that, my plan got canceled anyway. It's too expensive, and there's nothing I like about it. Also, it's easy to set up because they want to take money from people, but when I wanted to cancel, then they seem to want to scam.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found Adobe Acrobat's plan cancellation process frustrating, as it kept logging me out and showing errors. It feels like a scam when trying to cancel. The setup was easy, but it's too expensive.

 ### 5. Adobe Acrobat is horrible and SLOW

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachael M. | Office Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It opens PDFs, and the tools are easy to access.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Everything about it sucks. It’s slow, it bogs my PC down, and the AI integrated into it feels stupid and just makes everything slower. It also doesn’t save properly, and it honestly just sucks so bad.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Doesn’t solve anything. It’s too slow to use, so I’ve uninstalled it. I also hate having to fix issues with Adobe Acrobat.

 ### 6. Bulky and Difficult to Use

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel C. | Equity Research Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I use Adobe Acrobat for viewing and editing PDFs. It allows for quick viewing and helps me open PDFs from Outlook.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

I find Adobe Acrobat difficult to use with bad UX. The app itself feels too bulky and challenging to navigate. Also, the initial setup was difficult.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Acrobat for quick viewing of PDFs and editing.

 ### 7. Buggiest bloatware I've seen since I had to use Microsoft Word in the 20th century.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff N. | Wellness Coach & Fitness Trainer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Nothing at all, couldn't even get software to work to deal with a single simple pdf.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Bloatware doesn't work, tech support system kept crashing, tech support kept hanging up on me, when able to get tech support I had to download tech support software that requires access to all my files, had to enter password a zillion times, had to agree to numersous agreements, and tech support still wasn't able to help. Could not download a simple pdf. Have to submit credit card for a short 7-day trial, in the meantime get bombarded by tons of upselling spam. Horrible company and products, don't use it if you don't have to.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, it is a problem itself.

 ### 8. Cluttered Dashboard Makes It Hard to Use

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It is the main software used for viewing documents

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

It is not user friendly. Dashboard is cluttered

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not benefiting me

 ### 9. Could be better.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Good for printing, quick dirty edits to existing images with the image to text feature

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Slow on large pdfs files. All the controls start taking a long time to load. And the interface is not at all intuitive. But mainly, it is different to make small adjustments when it gets things wrong I.E when it incorrectly assumes the positioning of text, and then your text is stuck in fill-mode at the wrong spot, or text sizes being inconsistent, again with the auto fill feature. Because it is so nitpicky in this way it is very stressful to use in a pinch/rush,

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not any really.

 ### 10. The worst main line Adobe product

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan Z. | Marketing Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It makes organizing pdf pages easier, and offers slightly better tools than it's competitors.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Editing is a mess. Fonts and spacing are incorrect, and can often appear differently between devices. There is very little useful integration between Acrobat and other adobe products. Pdf is an outdated format that needs to be done away with.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If I receive a pdf I need to edit, and I have no control over the format, I use it. Otherwise I do everything I can to avoid it.

 ### 11. Terrible Billing Issues

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsea D. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I didn't particularly care for anything about Adobe.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The billing is terrible. They charge you but they don't provide you with the actual subscription. We were charged for MONTHS and my subscription showed inactive. No one had any answers. It also is not really user friendly.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They did come through and refund us for 8 months of service that we were not provided but it took our company an entire afternoon of dealing with talking to multiple people for that to happen.

 ### 12. Effortless Setup, Clear Processes

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Can I.

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I appreciate Adobe Acrobat's clear process and simplicity during setup. It is straightforward and poses no difficulty, solving my needs effectively.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

No I like

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Acrobat provides a clear process with no difficulty, simplifying tasks for me.

 ### 13. i cannot stand this program

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** john T. | manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

its everywhere just like thier little photo editing app they are tring to be at the top of the market

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

its everywhere they have attempted to corner the market.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none, not any at all because i go to great lenghts to avoid using anything acrobat its a big fat lazy slob of a program that takes forever to download and forever to open its bloated like a dead fish, it may as well smell like one the way that i avoid anything to do with this worthless pig of a program.

 ### 14. No longer like Adobe

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I like that its available on most devices. So the convience is there. I like that they are pretty much the standard viewer for PDFs, so thats really nice for them.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

It is not very user friendly. The interface does not appear to be easy to navigate and it looks clunky to me. It does not have as many options to edit a document.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This was presented to me as survey as to why I we dont use Adobe any longer. So I don't feel that Adobe is solving any problems for me. I do not prefer to use Adobe.

 ### 15. Bloated software

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mick g. | IT consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

being able to install Adobe Acrobat versions

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Bloated, diificult to install, intrusive, resource hog

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves nothing, creates problem

 ### 16. unreliable and pricey

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishanya A. | Associate Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

i like that all the documents look very crisp and formatted

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

it's costly and so i dont use the full version which is extremely limiting to my productivity and annoying with the all the popups.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

adobe acrobat is helping with document editing

 ### 17. Non transparent and devious

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Ubiquitous software that's a global standard

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Lack of up front transparency in signing up monthly vs annual contract. They ambush you.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All mainstay advantages of using PDF

 ### 18. Way too expensive for what it does

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom K. | Senior Information Technology Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It is the standard that most businesses use.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The subscription licensing model, the expense, and the constant updates

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do not use it anymore. We changed to another PDF editor

 ### 19. Seriously Adobe?

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris V. | Founder, Chief Marketing Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Manipulating a PDF is a rather complex operation. Adobe is the market leader in PDF creation and manipulation. Their product is a serious powerhouse, with a range of different options and functions.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

The product is bloated and in need of a serious overhall. It crashes at THE most in opportune moments. Fonts, even common ones, are not readily available. Working with the product is such a covoluted and awful experience that I am moving away from the Adobe Creative Suite entirely.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manipulating and developing PDFs. It's much more robust than doing so in a word processor software. For instance, manipulating images in solutions like Word or Pages is just painful. With a PDF creator, dragging and dropping images along with text boxes is a much smoother process.
The issue with Adobe Acrobad DC is that the product is so poorly coded and complex, that a basic user cannot just pick up the solution and run with it; they have to be trained. When they are trained on it's proper usage, the product will crash often when doing basic operations, (I am using the latest version on the latest MacOS).

 ### 20. Too difficult to manage licensing

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh L. | Project Development Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It was good at editing documents. We create documents in other programs and convert to PDF, if we need to change something at that point it is easy.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Managing all of the logons, the third party software dealers and licensing.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Switch to revu

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used it to make professional looking maps for grant applications

 ### 21. happy i switched

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis C. | 3rd year pipefitter , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

multiple systems under one company, widely used and a popular choice

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

how expensive it was and the annual fee, plus the ease of use was difficult

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

don't use it FOXIT is a much better program

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF editing was poor and that's all i need it for

 ### 22. Better options for basic editing

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle S. | Sales Tax Assistance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I renewed Adobe only because of my familiarity with it. Currently, I only use it to insert or edit images on a pdf. I use a different program for everything else

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

There are only a few shortcut keys to use and limited options to add to your toolbar. I am a big user of both. The editing process just takes too much time. For how advanced Adobe is supposed to be, they really restrict a users capabilities.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None at this point

 ### 23. Adobe Use to be the Best...Success has ruined them

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pat P. | President

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

the ability to edit pdf documents and to be able to sign my name.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

the support, I am a small business owner and need a human 24/7 or be notified when a release will impact the application. I can't access any of mu pdf files that I need now.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none

 ### 24. Adobe is so annoying and expensive and dumb and why!?!?

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

I really don't like Adobe at all I am annoyed it is so pervasive and has such a corner on the market

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Pretty much everything. I find this probably the most annoying software I have ever interacted with, made more annoying by the fact that there aren't many other good options.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not because I do my best to avoid using it for anything beyond viewing PDF documents, because whenever I have tried to use the more advanced features it turns into a total unusable cluster and is super expensive.

 ### 25. Adobe is over priced and under supported

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It's well known, that's about the only positive going for Adobe.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Software is buggy, licensing is horrible. I can't say how terrible my experience with Adobe has been. Repeatedly we see bugs in their software, which takes months to get an update that fixes. At one time I had everything on my pc working fine, except adobe and after weeks of e-mailing back and forth adobe closed the issue stating that it was an OS problem and that I needed to re-install my Operating system and all my software. I spent additional weeks trying to get someone at adobe to escalate the issue to development, and during that time I re-installed my OS, over 30 different applications as well as adobe. Yes the issue was fixed, but it took my weeks to get all my software re-downloaded, re-installed and the PC set back up to the way it was. The support was horrible, and for paying their $50 a month fee for the software for several years i'm floored at the terrible support. We still see issues with our clients who use adobe, and have begun pointing them toward different software to accomplish their goals.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None that I can't solve with different software, but since I need the full suite I still use the acrobat.

 ### 26. Avoid Adobe

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

The software works well (use Foxit now and it does everything that Adobe does).

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Adobe, for no reason, stopped my software from working by saying that I had installed the software too many times when I only installed it once. I contacted them and was told to uninstall the software. I explained this to them, but they did nothing to help, just said uninstall a copy and I'd be fine. Totally unresponsive as a company.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems with the software, just with the company.

 ### 27. Disgraceful company - they do not disclose how to terminate a contract

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

The ability to edit PDFs is useful but I will be looking for an alternative should I ever need to do this again

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

This company is the type that brings business into disrepute. They charge monthly and make it impossible to terminate the payments - even when you contact them and they send you a link to the supposed relevant help pages there is no mention of how to end, terminate or cancel a contract to stop the monthly charges.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Prepare to be charged more than you intend to pay as you will find it very difficult if not impossible to end the payments. I am waiting for my credit card to expire, there does not seem to be any other way.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As above, it was useful for editing PDFs.

 ### 28. Oh Sweet Acrobat, where hast thou gone?

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Damian K. | Sr. Production Artist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

AT BEST, Acrobat is a semi-useful PDF viewer and a semi-semi decent pdf editor.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

1. Stability - Crashes early and often
2. Feature Set - PDF's ubiquity demands more and more editing features. Acrobat DC does not provide them, and the ones they do provide are buried beneath a further clunkified interface
3. The interface - I mean, not to put too fine a point on it, but they are treating the interface like a Fisher Price toy. Bright circus colors, big round buttons, etc. But this doesn't make it easier to use. It, in fact, obfuscates features.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Evaluate your needs. How much PDF editing do you have to do? Any? Is it light? is it heavy?
if light, DC might just do the job. If heavy....well, there are other better options.
FOR EXAMPLE. Adobe Illustrator is a terrific heavy PDF editor. Esko's Neo app is, well the interface is bad, but the features are great. You gotta have a clear idea of where you want to go.
Affinity Designer is new and can edit PDFs it's on the heavy side, but it's up and coming and terrific.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you are working with an Adobe workflow, it has the benefit of being included in the whole shebang. So the problems it solves? You can view PDFs. It even promises editing. And I'll admit it's come in handy in that respect a few times. Once you grok the relationship between the Acrobat and the rest of the suite, you can get some things done.

 ### 29. Customer Support is lacking

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

It is the industry standard for Pdf generation. Its is reasnobly priced and has decent integration with other applications. Most clients have a reader that can view documents created with acrobat.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Its very buggy -- the support is lacking and you need to wait on hold endlessly to get it. continuity of support cases are lacking

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

See if the other low cost applications will meet you needs. If you do not need form generation, or pdf comparing applications like nitro might be a better choice. However Nitros Customer support makes Adobes customer support look amazing.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

secured document creation; for delivery to clients and customers.

 ### 30. Acrobat DC - Good, Not Great

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

Not a whole lot I like best. It creates PDFs somewhat well.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Very painful to annotate PDFs. The drawing tools are awful. You can't copy/paste a box from one page to the next in the same position as it was on the previous page. The Properties palette seems to have not been updated since version 9.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Blubeam is better

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating PDFs. The benefits are really that it can make PDFs as described.

 ### 31. Another Adobe product to stay away from

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek R. | Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2016

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

This will be somewhat similar to my Adobe Reader review, since basically they are the same.

Adobe products always have a nice interface, even if they are somewhat hard to navigate at times.

Adobe makes everything easy to install, and easy to uninstall. Which is good, because you will install it, then want to uninstall it.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

Where do I begin?

I have had such a horrible experience with some Adobe products, and such a good experience with others (Photoshop and Lightroom, for example).

Performance is really bad, and at times it locked my system up even with small CPU datasheets with barely any images. And I have a fairly new 3.0 GHz Intel CPU with 16GB of RAM.

Security is a huge issue. It really is a problem since malicious PDF files are fairly common nowadays. If they would add even some sandboxing, process isolation, or disable JavaScript and images until the user selects it, it would improve security a lot. Forgive me if they have added any of these things, but I can't tell since the malicious PDF files I got a hold of didn't act like they were restricted in any way, and all the code ran pretty seamlessly.

Bloat is a huge issue as well, Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat are both absolutely huge compared to something similar. Usually SumatraPDF is like 10MB (and that is including the fallback font it includes). Adobe products are anywhere from 100MB to 500+MB. I don't know where all the bloat comes from, but I hope it isn't the user interface, because that is probably the best part of Adobe products.

The preferences is the most daunting part of the interface, it really is quite scary. Things aren't even labeled correctly in the version I'm using. I'm afraid to touch anything for fear of having my computer boycott Adobe products.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Switch to something smaller and more robust. Adobe PDF products are buggy, terribly optimized, and are horrible security holes waiting to happen.

At least with any other solution, you are safer. Even with products like Nitro PDF or Foxit, you don't have any of the security issues since the malicious PDF's you may find almost never target people opening PDF files, and target people using PDF viewers that are buggy and filled with security issues.

You can switch to SumatraPDF, LibreOffice, Evince, or even OpenOffice. Anything but this, is what I would recommend.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You would add problems by switching from anything else. You should use another free alternative, or Nitro PDF or Foxit. While I would recommend LibreOffice, Evince, or SumatraPDF, at least switching to Foxit or Nitro PDF doesn't yield as many problems as Adobe products.

 ### 32. Adobe Acrobat deserves credit for creating the pdf but is so problematic to use

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2015

**What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?**

The fact that Acrobat creates PDf files, opens and reads them is about all it has going for it.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?**

We have found this software to be extremely glitchie and problematic. It's way over priced, the tools are poor and slow to utilize for marking up. Total failure.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe Acrobat:**

Buy Blue Beam instead or if you just need to create and read pdf's there are many $50 options on the market.

**What problems is Adobe Acrobat solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating PDF's is the only benifit
