Recommendations to others considering Adminer: Try it, although it is not as good-looking as PhpMyAdmin at first glance, it is the internal features that matter. Sometimes, when making small modifications at a time in a client's database, you cannot log in remotely to the DB. This is while Adminer is useful, unlike PMA, now it doesn't need configuration and is contained in a single PHP file, and still offers something you need: exports, imports, searches, queries, database operations, basically everything. The software itself is mindblowing and easy to install on the server and use. I like that it's a self-hosted, web-based administration tool for PostgreSQL (and other databases, though I've only used it for PG). Encoding parameters in the URL means you can refresh the page. Best of all, it's in active development and hasn't been abandoned yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Adminer? Some features that seem like they should be obvious are missing. For instance, I cannot TRUNCATE a table through the web interface, nor is there an option for CASCADEing. For these cases, I can write a manual SQL query, but seems like a simple button would suffice. I've also noticed that my search\_path isn't set correctly when executing SQL queries. If I want the search\_path to be set, I have to add "SET search\_path TO my,search,path;" at the top of every SQL query. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
