The videos I uploaded would pause on sites I put it on, even in my adilo account. The customer service was insanely slow, and I bought a lifetime purchase that they eventually took away, saying I had to switch to monthly subscription, at which time they deleted all of my content. **What problems is Adilo solving and how is that benefiting you?** They didn't solve problems for me, they created problems by not working well and not taking care of my issues. ### 3. Additionally, it bothers me that the platform is moving all LTDs to subscriptions and breaking old contracts. They straight up just decided to end ALL lifetime licenses bought without the opportunity to recover the money invested with exception to those purchased I think since May of 2025. The product itself is decent, but I just cannot justify this decision whatsoever. DO NOT buy into this product/software. Take your business elsewhere. **What do you dislike about Adilo?** what's to like? To be honest, I wish the industry would stop using the word "lifetime" on these deals. It's abundantly obvious they don't mean OUR lifetime. I understand a LTD ending due to a company shut down. It sucks, but what can you do? But Adilo straight up ROBBED thousands of folks by forcing us to accept the monthly plan rollout or lose our account. No refunds or consideration. Like be so freaking for real! **What problems is Adilo solving and how is that benefiting you?** The idea of secure video storage for my lifetime would be my answer. But Adilo legit ended this, so it's not benefitting me whatsoever anymore. ### 6. Now Adilo is becoming unreliable and is terminating the Lifetime contract with a 4-week notice due to the risk that Adilo might become unprofitable and have to give up, forcing a switch to one of their monthly programs or deletion of all videos on the platform! At the same time, Vimeo is increasing the storage space from 250 GB to 2 TB for free... so I'm moving my videos back to a reliable provider. **What do you dislike about Adilo?** WARNING | DANGER Unreliable provider that does not honor its contract with lifetime customers but instead cancels it at short notice and wants to force them into a subscription. Lifetime means usage as long as the product exists, ADILO forcibly stops the use of the lifetime account for users and wants to force account holders to sign up for a running subscription. If no subscription is taken out, Adilo closes the account and deletes the stored content. **What problems is Adilo solving and how is that benefiting you?** The functions in Adilo are extensive - unless they are taken away by the termination of the lifetime contract. No solution from ADILO. On the contrary, it puts the user who relies on seriousness in a problematic situation. ### 7. Adilo decided to update their terms for all plan holders, including the people who believed in them first and got them to a point where they became a player. Lifetime deal holders, like me, paid hundreds (and into the thousands) for lifetime solutions promised. Now, the people at BigCommand behind Adilo and 4KPlayer updated their Terms of Service WITHOUT notifying existing customers and stating that all lifetime deal accounts ARE NO LONGER SUPPORTED. They are requiring people, like me, to pay the same monthly fee that new customers would pay (completely ignoring the fact that they wouldn't exist without the support of hundreds of lifetime deal buyers who paid 10x more than most lifetime deals for software). Instead of actually marketing their product to new customers or improving the product, they bait and switch on people who've already paid them. Contracts don't exist with these people. Terms are changeable without notice, which is illegal. AppSumo is not stepping in, so this company should be avoided at all costs. **What do you dislike about Adilo?** Just be more human and honor the people who helped you grow. **Recommendations to others considering Adilo:** Repeating myself here: Adilo allows filmmakers to showcase their content and grow their following, experts and course creators to protect and share their teachings as if it was an in-person experience, and entertainers to proudly organize and continue doing what they love. I have seriously hunted for a video deal this good and haven't found one. **What problems is Adilo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have a video creation, distribution, and marketing platform where I own my content vs. YouTube strategy. I can now use, sell, and showcase my work or my client's work inside of courses, on websites, in emails, and anywhere in between. It's also a more affordable option for me as a lifetime user vs. something like Vimeo or Wistia. ### 8. Unprofessional **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Cameron A B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2023 **What do you like best about Adilo?** the idea of what the software will do and its promoted capabilities. **What do you dislike about Adilo?** unprofessionalism and software functionality. encountered various parts of software not functioning as advertised and repeatedly asked to wait for them to make corrections. i grew weary in 21 days of 2plus incidents of this occurring, stopped using software, stopped logging in, and requested a refund. **What problems is Adilo solving and how is that benefiting you?** DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!! i bought software and upgrade and encountered delays with account being setup; had difficulty from software not functioning properly, and unprofessional customer service (representative was very ghetto and disrespectful during several interactions). All of this happened in first 21 days, i stopped using the software altogether, and requested a refund. They refused to give me a refund; they refused to acknowledge the Uniform Commercial Code/FTC regulations (basically all commerce laws). In the agreement it does not state that "acceptance or use of their software is acknowledgement and consent to forfeit my right to a refund within 30 days as granted by consumer/commercial law. Customer service is as important as functionality/performance of software. In both of these areas they have failed and i chose to end my relationship with them at that point and not wait for corrections to be made - this is my choice. Their decision to refuse issuing me a refund is not only denying my commercial rights, it is an outright act of denying my right to choose as a human being. ### 10. Constant attempts to upsell. Bait and switch sign-up tactics. Emails promising things like unlimited video hosting and bandwidth, only to find out after I bought it that what they were showing me was the "FULL" package features and not the package that I'd already purchased the "lifetime" promotion. The platform is ok if a bit clunky. Icons that look like buttons don't do anything. You have to go through some awkward sequences to upload. There are frequent error messages when trying to upload, and weird log-outs frequently require logging in again. I regretted buying it the same day I clicked the purchase button, but I did my best to make it work. So what I thought was "unlimited videos" is now limited to just 100GB which I've already hit in less than 30 videos. Let the buyer beware and think twice about spending any money on this service. "I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further," seems to be an appropriate motto for them. **Recommendations to others considering Adilo:** Look for a more trustworthy business. **What problems is Adilo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I thought this would be a good alternative to unlisted youtube videos for my Patreon members, but I will be switching back to that service and probably let this die off. I can't imagine they'll last long with tactics like this. ### 12. They tell you on the page that you have 300 GB storage, but what they don't tell you it's that you can upload max 100 GB or they block you. How is this possible you ask? Only if you search through their help center, you will find that they make copies for every resolution and they instantly fill your storage space. Oh and if you exceed - your videos get blocked. All of them. Support is non existent, upgrading the plan does not work. We have 18,000 people waiting for videos and guess what? We have to sit in the office on Saturday to do an emergency migration. This is the worst company I ever had the pleasure to work with in my 15 years of professional experience. **Recommendations to others considering Adilo:** If you're considering migrating or just starting out with Adilo, please don't. They got so many reviews because they offered a bribe on Appsumo to double the credits. They offer TERRIBLE customer service and their actual system sucks so you always need customer service and it takes days for a reply or they will simply ignore you even though it shows that their customer rep is online on the chat. It's the weirdest company/software support I have ever dealt with. **What do you dislike about Adilo?** The software lacks tons of features, you are not able to embed on wordpress site using elementor (like you can Youtube or Vimeo), it takes forever for a short video to upload, and finally their customer service is horrendous. **Recommendations to others considering Adilo:** Don't! Most reviews are because they offered double credits on their appsumo lifetime deal. The software does not work as advertised and their support will not care to help. **What problems is Adilo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was hoping to host and distribute videos and collect leads. I haven't been able to do much with it as there are tons of road blocks and customer service is probably a child in a basement who can't really do much for you. ### 14. For that, I decided to part ways with Adilo. However, it's all questionable as I explain below. **What do you dislike about Adilo?** Anything you read about Adilo on any major review site is questionable. Adilo seemed like a good deal on a product that offered features similar to Wistia and Vimeo for a fraction of the cost; then I got the email pitch about how I could upgrade my plan by writing reviews on G2 and other big review platforms. And those reviews had to be submitted right away, within a few days, which means new users wouldn't have enough time to evaluate the app honestly. I thought . . . how many people are taking this deal? Can I trust anything about Adlio? We'll never know, but it means all Adilo reviews are suspect. The smarmy intro video, reports of poor customer service, and incentivized reviews killed my interest in Adilo. Any company that incentivizes reviews to pump their product unfairly loses all trust with customers. For bad is my experience with this kind of behavior, the software is not the big deal, at least not for expend almost 500$. These kind of behavior is ruining the review system because seriously, is not a 5 start software. Maybe a 3, and the othe -2 for the awful behavior.
