AddSearch provides a very competitively priced search tool for any website. It is better than most out-of-the-box CMS searches and way less expensive than most of the enterprise-level search options like SOLR. We originally found AddSearch as our replacement to Google's Site Search that was deprecated. AddSearch has added so much more functionality and configurations than Google ever had. It all comes down to three simple things...

1) The user experience is excellent, and this applies whether use the basic integration or decide to make a custom results page using Search UI.

2) The developer experience offers a perfect balance of control and ease of use.

Not a deal-breaker... it would just be nice if the management dashboard was mobile-friendly.

Occasionally I need to make small search ranking changes when I am away from my desk, and the dashboard does not work well from the small viewport of a mobile phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AddSearch Site Search solving and how is that benefiting you?

1) We needed a federated search solution for our main website. Our website visitors can now search from our main website and see results from every web property affiliated with the institution.

2) We needed a way to easily customize search results. I can now easilty customize the ranking, promotion/pinning, and unique search synonmys all at a moments notice.

3) Budget constraints. As an educational institution with search needs that do not equate to customer revenue, this was, by far, the most afordable way to add enterprise quality search to our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I overlooked an email from AddSearch informing me of changes in their package options and, as a result, my corporate credit card was charged for a different amount than I had expected. Through a series of emails over the course of several days, my customer support specialist, Mikko, worked through the issues with me which included a refund to my credit card for the difference. Mikko was extremely helpful, positive and responded quickly each time, even when it was to inform me that the situation was being further investigated.
