Wisenet is rather clunky and it's user limit etc is outdated an not inline with competitors. **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Sean C. | Technical Assessment Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2024 **What do you like best about Wisenet?** It's some featres of keeping a database together. **What do you dislike about Wisenet?** For our application, we assign students a unique student number that they can use to access their examinations etc. At present if a student puts in a new application and changes their email address, Wisenet can't assign their existing student number and they end up with a new number. This creates a messy system that should be more inline with systems such as the governments USI number for example. Imagine that changed every time I updated my email address. In short it requires some adustment to correct this major issue which is plagueing the current Wisnet system we have in place. Also when it comes to having website application forms changed, Wisenet is currently not flexible enough. For receiving evidence from RPL candidates for example, not enough space or ability to upload multiple files without allocating seperate fields for each file is limiting. **What problems is Wisenet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping track of a students information by having it all in one place, the problem is if it creates a new profile for the same student just because their email address changed we have 2 or more spots where the information is now tracked. ### 2. Just another clunky database **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2021 **What do you like best about Wisenet?** one source of the student admin data for all in our organisation to use **What do you dislike about Wisenet?** Just seems like a clunky database - no more, no less expensive not intuitive for a less experienced user - not simple to use integration with other software is not great needs a lot of tech support lots of seemingly useless and unused fields in many years of use (and fees paid) this is the first time I have been asked for any feedback many keystrokes for small jobs **Recommendations to others considering Wisenet:** do a detailed comparison with other providers - once you are using Wisenet it will be difficult and time consuming to change **What problems is Wisenet solving and how is that benefiting you?** a central repository for student admin data and a mechanism to provide reports and data to government agencies - no benefits other than that **Official Response from Taryn Champion:** > Good day, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Client are not aware of hidden fee. **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2021 **What do you like best about Wisenet?** Dashboard, reporting and customer support time of response. **What do you dislike about Wisenet?** Wisenet removed the existing system feature from an existing client as they have moved these features to a higher packed, so in other words, they push the client to upgrade the subscription, the feature was automated emails to keep students up to date and to reduce admin time. **What problems is Wisenet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to 2019, the Wisenet system had more feature for their standards subscriber (starter, standard and premium), so the standard was good for medium to small RTO especially it has a connector with xero accounting and automated emails to send to student at enrolment and some other useful features which all removed from existing subscribers in 2019. ### 4. Reports around the data are useful. **What do you dislike about Wisenet?** Australian education language used. It isn't the most intuitive software I have used. Not being able to upload a csv file with learner data is frustrating - ie electronic class registrations Online enrolment - ok for programmes, not useful for single enrolments (public courses). Screenshot function in this survey doens't work No NZ User group to network with - problem solve **What problems is Wisenet solving and how is that benefiting you?** Online enrolment seems to be ok for programmes but not for single (public course) registration - it isn't designed for this purpose. ### 5. Whenever attendance is done for a class for a certain day, I always need to go back to the main page and repeat the same procedure again if I want to add attendance for the same class for a different day. **Recommendations to others considering Wisenet:** More improvement from Wisenet **What problems is Wisenet solving and how is that benefiting you?** None. ### 6.
