The client facing view is easy for clients to use to choose their own appointment times. I like the ability to have Acuity try to group appointments together. It also allows us to set that we only want a certain number of a type of appointment in a given week (no more than 4 new client consultations per week, for example). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling? It integrates with Zoom, so it will create Zoom links for particular appointment types. Unfortunately, you cannot have this trigger based on a custom field. In our use case, it means we had to set our appointment types as Zoom, Phone, and In Person, so that only Zoom appointments get Zoom links. We'd rather set up our appointment types by meeting topic (New Client Consult, for example) and allow the client to choose the Zoom/Phone/InPerson from there. Clients quickly and easily book and reschedule their own appointments and receive reminders, and we're able to keep internal notes attached to each appointment. Collect payments, integrates with Zoom easily. Client can download their app to schedule appointments, and sends you notifications on mobile and email. The notifications are instant, and you get a duplicate email showing exactly what the client sees. The email functionality - while powerful - can be confusing. There is a bit of learning to maximize what Acuity can do, and I've found myself occasionally asking colleagues for help occassionally. The ease of use is by far its best feature. You can come in with zero CRM and zero CS experience and use this and it'll stick to you like the back of your hand. It was the perfect solution for me for scheduling, booking, calendar management, and keeping track of client appointments. The search engine is incredibly responsive, not case sensitive, either. I can pull client info easily, track appointment changes, and do a variety of other things. The questionnaire setup was simple, as well. It automatically showed you times in your time zone, which I appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling? The UI is crunchy. It's not intuitive, and the submenus sometimes don't load properly. If you ban a piece of information that was user-submitted, you don't have the option to blacklist any new information people submit, making blocking and banning cumbersome. I feel like if I dug into it as an admin, I'd be hitting roadblocks left and right, especially in the beginning. Integrations tend to break from time to time, which sucks. Acuity scheduling is a great solution for complex scheduling needs such as different calendars of availability for different team members/locations, group events, and customizable intake forms for different events. What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling? Over the years as I've implemented Acuity for clients, there were times when glitches arose within the product itself. The scheduling page on Acuity is excellent for presenting a professional appearance and saving time. By sharing a simple link, I've saved hours of time and acquired leads faster! Imagine this: A lead reaches out to inquire about your services You respond and include your scheduling link to set up a consultation They pick a time They complete an intake form that will provide you with all the information you need from them prior to the consultation They get a confirmation email with an option to add the appointment to their own calendar, along with a Zoom link in the confirmation email that was automatically generated via an integration Seamless! The customer service. There are many things to like about Acuity, but the best thing about using their platform was dealing with the customer service and support team. Our concerns were answered in an extremely timely fashion, and migration assistance was carried out swiftly and without incident. The UI/UX. From an operational perspective, it is highly customizable and easy to implement/make changes. It depends upon someone being the scheduler for us, but when everything is going smoothly the site works well. I love being able to just log in from anywhere anytime to verify my work schedule. I was trying to take down my scheduling on calendars and every time I would be sent a new date or time, especially since there is a time zone difference between me and the place where I work, it did cost some confusion before I was able to completely utilize Acuity. I like that we can have multiple people's calendars on our home screens. I work in a small mental health practice and we're often scheduling for one another so it's imperative that we be able to see each other's calendars. Before COVID, we were also allowing clients to schedule themselves through our website which was great. I also enjoy the business integrations. We've been able to integrate our scheduling with Zoom, GoToMeeting, Active Campaign and QuickBooks--which has allowed us to streamline our business and client processes. I don't like that when you block off time in Acuity, it doesn't show up on your linked Google calendar as blocked off time. The acuity app is constantly having problems, so it's difficult to use my phone for scheduling. They allow for different colors for different appointment types, but they don't allow you use different colors for different practitioners' appointments. When you're looking at everyone's calendar on one page (especially in week view) it's really confusing and you can't easily distinguish whose appointment is whose. We can integrate it with other apps which means when clients get scheduled for certain appointment types, they now automatically receive certain emails, zoom links when appropriate, and their payment can go through quickbooks.
