Being able to see overall productivity and then break it down by web and application usage is wonderful. Really helps us understand who is active and being productive versus slacking off on company time. Was wonderful to configure it through Azure AD, just add whoever we want to an Azure group and that user begins to be monitored. **What do you dislike about ActivTrak?** Hard to find much fault in ActivTrak. We did spend a little time helping train it to understand what apps were productive versus non-productive but I wouldn't really call that out as a dislike, it can't have perfect knowledge. About the only area I mildly dislike is how aggressive it is tracking users. If a 'tracked' user logs into a new device that new device is added but the old device is still in the system and whoever logs into it is also tracked. Have had to add those users to an exclusion list. **What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Verifying employees are actually working and using the systems that we supply them. It would be nice if we could mark specific categories (e.g. shopping) to default to "unproductive" while still requiring an approval on the classifiction. ActivTrak offers a variety of different reports, filters, and other tools to help us sort through the data in a meaningful way. We can see things from a very high level if we are looking for a quick snapshot for a user or group of users, but it also offers the very detailed information necessary for drilling-down to a see something as detailed as a user's click-by-click history during specific timeframe or within a specific application. **What do you dislike about ActivTrak?** This has been a very useful oversight tool for our organization! There is nothing I would categorize as as a true dislike, but rather some suggestions for enhancements. Enhancement Wishlist: It would be helpful if we could categorize an application or website as productive/unproductive for a specific timeframe as well as the current option to categorize it differently for a specific user or user group to reflect a more accurate picture of productivity levels over a period of time. As an example, in the legal industry there are times when searching social media platforms may be part of working a specific case for a legal assistant, but outside of that very specific timeframe it is not something the assistant should be accessing. Also, integration with HRIS/Payroll platforms to easily see activity/productivity levels while on the clock (for hourly employees), would make it much easier to understand productivity levels during paid time, rather than exporting reports from two different systems and marrying the two in excel, then recalculating after removing activity from break periods, and other non-working hours. Change how terminated employee/inactive user accounts are handled. It would be nice to be able to deactivate/archive these users without having to choose between either losing all of the historical data or having to merge the unused accounts into one combined account which uses up a license and makes it a little more tricky to get a snapshot or detailed information you need specific to an old user. **What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows our organization to keep a pulse on remote workers productivity/activity levels and compare it to their on-site counterparts. Sometimes you have to dig through different features to find the information you're looking to gather. The home page, when you first log in, is full of a ton of incredible information that gives you a super quick and easy way to view what your team is doing. This can be customized or edited so that you can see the current time, a day in the past, or change to a specific time frame of dates. Account help is always just a click away with the convenient chat service that is located at the bottom of every page. It may take a minute for someone to accept the conversation and get back to you, but once you get connected, you are talking with someone who speaks English and understands the ins and outs of the program. **What do you dislike about ActivTrak?** One of the things I don't like about this software is how many features and settings there are. I know this sounds like a good problem, but when you want to view a simple report, it takes quite a bit of work to find out where to look for the information and which filters to use to get exactly what you need. Another thing I dislike is how many features there is that show up on my account, making me think I have access to them, but when I click on them, it says I need to upgrade to a higher-tiered account in order to use them. I would rather those tabs or features not show up on my account instead of being teased anytime I click on something I'm not familiar with. I get it's a sales tactic, but it's tiresome when they tell me I need to pay more to get these cool new features when I'm already a paying customer. **What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** ActivTrak has been very good with helping me solve Employee Monitoring ever since my team went remote. We were lucky to have gone fully-remote 4-months before COVID-19 hit and nationwide lockdowns were put into place. Thankfully, due to that decision, I already had this software installed on all of my agent's computers and could keep an eye on how they were doing 100% remotely. Post-COVID-19, this software still helps me to see which employees are performing at the level I expect them to be at, which employees may be slacking a little, and I can directly keep tabs on the different projects we have going so I am able to know where each person is at with their progress on the things assigned to them. The software is also able to monitor the risk of burnout of employees and to manage if you have anyone "quietly quitting" your team. ### 16. Easy to get an overview of a persons/teams activitiy but then with the ability to drill down in great detail where needed. **What do you dislike about ActivTrak?** While they do provide integrations with Azure AD and others its somewhat basic. If it also imported other user or computer attributes then provisioning of the reporting and manager access to employees could be better automated or fully automated. But when you ask questions of sales force, they tell you their product is not to be used to manage employee time. NO support available and sales persons are hard core obnoxious. This is a software that you have to embed but if you dont trust the company then it just will not work. When you put in the cancellation as per the MSA the sales person puts a claim against your company with the BBB. **What problems is ActivTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** It does not do employee monitoring. What we have found is that in today's work environment, most employees want to perform unverifiable and unsupervised work with the ability to self report productivity/performance. This has created an environment where most productivity information is self reported by employees. They allow you to add licenses but they dont allow you reduce licenses. In my case I downsized my team from 9 to 3 ppl and now they are saying I have to pay for all those 9 licences until Mar 2023. As a small business this is very disappointing that they are making me pay for licenses that are not in use. I use other softwares that have annual subscriptions and they allow us to add and reduce licenses as we see fit and also give a credit for the reduction of licenses. Activity logs are really helpful in determining what an agent was doing at a specific moment at a given time. A regular feed option would be much better.
