I work in Software Engineering, so when I saw an open-source alternative to pricey Zapier, I got interested straight away.

I've already implemented a few pretty complicated flows, such as exporting data from Fullstory (no piece for it yet but I'm going to create one), parsing data to extract users and then send it to our internal service that sends NPS surveys to our customers. It works! :)

I like the flexibility of built-in Code piece that allows you not only to run some basic code but actually provide dependencies to you JS/TS logic. Also, I found the way of passing outputs to inputs pretty straightforward.

Having already 3.5k starts on GitHub and being backed by YCombinator I'm sure the tool has very high chance for success. Yes, it doesn't have pieces for everything just yet, but the community will help driving it forward.

It's the simplicity in both its function and its guidance that's been really powerful for a beginner getting used to the no-code activepieces automation that I've really enjoyed. recently 114 pieces apps that can connect via native api here,

most automation software on the market has thousands apps connection.

but for the value for money, the activepieces so much cheaper. and we can connect unlisted apps using http request by each apps API documentation . so it's no problem .

It is opensource, people can contribute to this project and help it grow big one. Also they are coming out with a lot of new features, like their chatbot, which I hope to implement one day. I bought this on appsumo and am gald I pulled the trigger. Their success is really important to me, if they grow we get more app connections. So I have a vested interest in their growth. It is intuitive to setup the workflows. I managed to do simple automations like - syncing all my calendars, posting from youtube to wordpress, etc. The youtube to wordpress automation I did - I can't do with other software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometime automation break, not because of activepieces but because of the 3rd party authenticator plugin required to make it work on wordpress. I wish they use application passwords instead. As whenever the authenticator plugin is active, apps that use app password don't work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Activepieces is very easy to use, it didn't take me long to establish the connection between the 2 data streams. For example, I was able to connect Brevo to WordPress, all in about 3 to 5 minutes of setup. Many of my previous connections required Zapier but can now be replaced with Activepieces.

The number of connections is not as high as Zapier, but the Activepieces developer regularly updates. I believe that Activepieces will grow very quickly in the near future, for example, last September Activepieces updated more than 10+ new connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1- Zapier is expensive. I dont like paying monthly.

2- Active pieces is open source. I am an open source guy. It has proved to produce some of the most robust software over time. Active pieces might seem new now, but over time and the power of community I believe it will overtake Zapier and make. Look how powerful is linux as an operating system.

3- I checked the company information, they are backed by Ycombinator!

For those who don't know what it is, it is one of the most prestigious accelerators in the silicon valley, if not the most prestigious. Getting admitted there is like getting admitted to Stanford. Those guys made it in, they have to have something promising to be selected and Funded by YC. And most importantly, they are not going away anytime soon.

While I am not a hardcore developer, I propose to the founders to finetune an AI chat and train it to write pieces for non coders like me.

I can simply provide it with the API variables and it would write me the code to paste it and make a piece.

Activepieces has been a game changer, for me as someone to automation. Its user friendly interface without the need for coding made it exceptionally simple to establish workflows and automate repetitive tasks. I love the power Activepieces provide to all users. It's easy to use, and workflows are very powerfull. I can integrates basicaly everything as long as other services provide api or webhook. I found ActivePieces so easy to use, and I created my first automation flows without reading any ActivePieces documentation. I have other similar automation apps but it takes me so long to create and test new automations with them and often I can't create the flows I want because of the complexity in setting up each step of the flow.

I tested creating one flow with Activepieces where I had spent about an hour researching all the apis and authentications required of external apps to connect with them, and I didn't find it easy or intuitive to create the flow. When I tested creating the same flow in Activepieces it took about 2 minutes and all I then had to do was configure each step's options, which when I looked into the configuration settings of each step, I saw the configuring also taking a few minutes. However, I then stopped because I started to re-think all the use cases I had wanted to previously create with other automation apps and had not, and which tasks to prioritise because my mind kept coming up with new use cases using Activepieces for tasks for myself and my clients. I really recommend Activepieces to anyone considering automating frequent manual tasks, and I also recommend it to existing automation creators using other automation apps who may want to look at speed up their automation creation process. Activepieces seems to be a new automation app and may not currently have all the apps in their Pieces that you wish to integrate. From updates in their Discord group, existing Pieces are developed with new functions and new Pieces are added on an ongoing basis.

However the webhook feature (Piece) should allow you to receive data from any app that can send data using webhooks, and the 'Send HTTP request' feature (Piece) should be able to send any data from your flow to any other apps that can receive HHTP requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
