## ActiveBuilding Reviews
  ### 1. Worst company I have ever done any form of business with

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2023

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

Absolutely nothing useless company. Extorted me for all my private info. Forced late fees on me. Strongly dislike their company and employees. Never use them unless forced.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

Everything. They literally do not provide anything useful and forced me to enter confidential information. Forced late fees on me when not provided. Made me confirm confidential information an obscene amount of times. Occurrence of info required made no sense and I hate this company with passion.

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. They are the portal I use for paying rent and made this task nearly impossible while making sure I could not set up automatic payments to ensure they receive huge late fees on my behalf that were non-refundable.

  ### 2. Excellent Community Building Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gillian C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

Having a community set up on ActiveBuilding provides an easy way to communicate (anything from essential updates to fun upcoming events) with all residents at once without leaking personal information.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

I wish there were a tagging feature on ActiveBuilding found in most social networking platforms. For example, a resident might post an item for sale, and an interested buyer might respond with questions. I wish there was a way to notify the seller that a comment was posted right away so there could be more immediate communication.

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ActiveBuilding has benefited the property by keeping up communication with residents and deepens the sense of communication with one another!

  ### 3. Even with the recent updates, still a little clunky. But suitable.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2021

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

We, as well as our residents, like the convenience of being able to pay online, schedule maintenance, update personal information and ability to connect with other residents.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

The option to upload documents is hit or miss. Residents would appreciate notification any time updates are made to the platform. We've been waiting for the Community Rewards integration for months. Service request categories don't always match with the categories in Onesite, so our maintenance teams often have to go back in and make edits.

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are covered when we're closed, cutting down on late rents, and almost completely paperless.

  ### 4. Active building

  ### 5. Requires too much personal information

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2021

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

when residents set up their reoccuring payment methods, they are asked for very personal information, such as social security #, passport number information and birthdate. any way around this??

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

none at the moment

  ### 6. The platform with potential

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

I like the Daily Digest. I don’t necessarily have to log into the app on a daily basis but I am still in the know on what Is happening at the community.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

The site is not stable as a resident and customer there are times when I don’t have the ability to pay my rent because something is broken and that can be frustrating.

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Residents have the ability to pay rent, enter service request, and update their contact information in the site. When it works it’s pretty amazing!

  ### 7. It’s a facebook for residents!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

That it allows then to submit payments, service request and update their own information online.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

It has glitches that sometimes requires residents to create a new account and the sync with Realpage onesite it not always as smooth

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefit of communicating better with our residents

  ### 8. Active Building Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruthy W. | Graphic Designer, Environmental Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

It is a very easy tool to use, with many options you can implement, or not. It is an all-in-one tool for both residents and staff. It is a very easy tool for building/resident/portal management. It has everything needed. I like that you can chat with your neighbors without awkwardly having to knock on their door and explaining who you are. I love that you can message residents and staff, pay rent, look at the community wall, and edit your info all in one place.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

I don't like that the other people in the community can see that you live there if you are more of a private person, I've had many residents tell me they don't like that the other residents at the apartment can see them on there. The interface is a little awkward to use in the beginning, and there are so many options it's almost overwhelming. I don't love that there is such a high fee for credit/debit cards. Not so user friendly in that aspect.

**Recommendations to others considering ActiveBuilding:**

You have a ton of areas you can use ActiveBuilding, and you don't have to use them all.

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching out to other residents and staff. I like that you can chat with your neighbors without awkwardly having to knock on their door and explaining who you are. The world is coming into a technology phase and this helps immensely. I like that you can chat with your neighbors without awkwardly having to knock on their door and explaining who you are.

  ### 9. Great Software for Property Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2018

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

I love how it lets you interact with residents. It isn’t just for paying rent or putting in work orders but it also helps with communication between the office staff and residents

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

There’s nothing that I’ve used that I dislike, however, there are features that I haven’t used yet.

**Recommendations to others considering ActiveBuilding:**

It’s amazing! Give it a shot. It’s worth it.

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the main features of the program is that residents are able to put in their own work orders and explain in their words along with attaching pictures so that the issue is clear to the maintenance team.

  ### 10. Active building app is great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2018

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

I like that they have an app feature so people don't have to always log onto their laptop in order to connect with others. It is basically like another version of Facebook but for apartment communities. It's a great way to connect residents!

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

Nothing really stood out that's bad. But the app could use some improvements. The loading time still takes a while and it doesn't stay logged in the entire time, thus, we still have to constantly check the app for messages. It doesn't pop right on your phone screen like other social media apps.

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To connect with residents and still preserve privacy!

  ### 11. Good solution for co working spaces

**What do you like best about ActiveBuilding?**

It was really easy to bring new employees onto the system.

**What do you dislike about ActiveBuilding?**

The interface was a bit clunky, but not unmanageable.

**Recommendations to others considering ActiveBuilding:**

It is an all-in-one solution, which was nice.

**What problems is ActiveBuilding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was a really easy solution for building management. Had everything needed for employees, messaging, groups etc.
