Specifically, I appreciate the platform's ability to execute templated jobs with variable replacement and its Windows-centricity (which makes installation and access control simpler). Additionally, the RESTful and SOAP APIs are powerful tools for advanced users who need to communicate with the platform's various services. Finally, I was impressed with how quickly ActiveBatch responded to my questions & queries during the implementation process, as well as their thoroughness in training us on how to use the platform effectively. I also recently realized that disabling a job doesn't immediately stop it; instead, it runs numerous times before being arrested.ActiveBatch can only provide a trustworthy workaround for previous schedules based on specific times, days, or even months. I also think their documentation is fairly easy to find problems/solutions for just about anything you could want. We may use it for some data manipulation as well. It always seems to have some solution for anything we throw at it. I have actually setup a job to do Web API updates. That is fairly new for us and I think that is fairly new for ActiveBatch as well. Active Batch is easily configured to pick up and transfer all types of files efficiently, whether in house or to outside vendors. The Active Batch alerts that can be set up are very helpful and the detailed content is extremly helpful in determining root cause of any failures. The alerts can be configured to go to various people and or groups through as variety of methods. Furthermore the alerts can be configured to send on various types of failures or if a user / file recipient would like a notification of success those are also easily configured. Active Batch offers many features such as the use of setting up either local plan variables or variables at the global level all of which which lend to its efficency over other solutions. Creating custom schedules is simple and enhances the use of Active Batch which allows customization of file transfer times and days to trigger which range from minutes, hours, days weeks months and more. We utilize Active batch throuout the organization managing files which range from financial files, clinical files, insurance files, report files and so many more. We transfer in all file types from files without extenssions to PDF, TXT etc. Active batch has simplified file transfers throuout the entire system thus freeing up more time for the staff who at one pont were performing the transfers manually. We are a company migrated from OnPrem to cloud based (Azure) and the existing vendor doesnt have proper integration with Cloud and hence opted for ActiveBatch which was greatly helpful. In terms of Financial bebefit - A BIG Yes. (Definetly worth to get a quote) AB offers mutliple features and views like Daily activity, Run books , Operartions and Machine loads which will be highly helpful for different user base. We can group jobs/Pipelines under different folders and we can restrict access to particular product teams there by having full control of only that product which limits access of othe users. The reusability of jobs makes it easy to setup new jobs without having to start from scratch every time.
