For starters, 100% secure, always available in any browser, cost effective. Our firm is now delivering more legal service, fast and for less. Clients and 3rd parties love the portals and our users now LOVE their case management system. **What do you dislike about Actionstep?** Less features / integration with Google workspace when compared to O365. **Recommendations to others considering Actionstep:** IMO, Actionstep is a must view, just for it's powerful workflow capabilities and cloud pedigree alone. Of all the SaaS Practice Management Systems I reviewed only Actionstep had the simplicity and yet the underlying power and flexibility to run our legal practice of 40 users and support our rapid growth. Warning, if any PMS vendor cannot demonstrate their system running 'securely' on 'your' device, run a mile or just accept that your bottom-line will not be as good as in could be. Oh, and I'd highly recommend moving your business to Google Workspace for further massive cost reductions, productivity gains, security and availability uplifts. I'm happy to take questions. **What problems is Actionstep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Productivity and service delivery consistency has dramatically increased as has profitability. 100% operational visibility of our business without a pesky spreadsheet in sight. ### 4. If you ever run into an issue, their first response is "there is no issue". If there is an issue that the team, acknowledges, the team will either take weeks to fix it, or will tell you that they aren't going to fix it. Trying to get in contact with anyone at actionstep, by email or phone, is like pulling nails. **Recommendations to others considering Actionstep:** Don't consider them. Find software with a good support team. **What problems is Actionstep solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to streamline our workflows and keep track of open cases. ### 5. Also I haven't worked with another similar system so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, the system is very easy to use. The product support team have been very helpful too. **What do you dislike about Actionstep?** Aged receivables and dashboard reporting - these 2 areas need improvement **Recommendations to others considering Actionstep:** Take the time to get as much training as possible from AS resources rather than learn from others in the office who may not be using the system efficiently. **What problems is Actionstep solving and how is that benefiting you?** AML integration with Vigilance. I just need one report and the whole process would be streamlined. AML takes up time but now that there is a way lawyers can see if AML has been completed without having to dig through documentation . ### 6. Then, in one easy step you can generate documents with the correct fields! **What do you dislike about Actionstep?** It is a bit tricky to figure out how to format documents at first in order to generate them in Actionstep. The merge fields needed are pretty particular, but once you get it figured out, it works great! **Recommendations to others considering Actionstep:** Definitely worth it. **What problems is Actionstep solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are getting much better at keeping track of our clients and knowing where we are at on a matter. With having multiple employees, the file notes section is invaluable, so that you know what has already been done. ### 10. It is easy to track where we are in the legal process with each clients, and we can change the steps along the way. We can easily assign tasks for our team members, and with the billing feature, we can easily track payments and create invoices. **What do you dislike about Actionstep?** It is not always the most user-friendly when trying to customize the dashboard for different matter types. If I want to add a new table that would display client information on one type of matter, I find myself having to make this change via a convoluted means, or I am having to contact support. **What problems is Actionstep solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are keeping better track of our clients throughout the entire legal process. From the beginning when we need to set reminders to call our client for a follow up a week later, to processing the final payment, Actionstep allows us to stay organized and informed. ### 11. I like that if I am entering duplicate biographical info for a contact, the system flags it before I save it. **What do you dislike about Actionstep?** I dislike that none of the "tasks" seem to make sense with the timing of the events in which they are assigned. I also don't like that after I add someone to an event, if they later cancel, I can't keep them tied to that event. Once I delete their reservation, there is no longer a way to show that the contact was originally associated with that event. **Recommendations to others considering Actionstep:** I recommend designating one place to enter notes that regard a particular client and maintaining that system across the board. There are many many options for you to leave notes and it will be very confusing for you if you and your staff are leaving file notes on different areas. **What problems is Actionstep solving and how is that benefiting you?** Actionstep allows me to enter comprehensive biographical information for our database, search that information, generate reports based on that information and segment our database based on that information. ### 12.
