"Ease and Perfect Control for Patch Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

I like the ease of application and scheduling of updates, whether for software or the operating system itself, in addition to being able to execute custom scripts for my environment. I maintain the security of the servers by adding some as staging, and after the global implementation of updates. The customizable scripts allow me greater control over some deletions or cleanups that the tool itself does not perform. Action1 complements the security I need for the servers and its initial setup was very practical and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I encounter challenges with standard scripts and scheduled reboot for Ubuntu, which is what I use. I also miss scripts for checking and cleaning old data, such as system schedules or previous installations. It would be helpful to be able to bring programs from startup for both Linux and Windows and to be able to reboot or schedule the reboot for Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Remote Management and Enhanced Security"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

I enjoy the ease with which I can update many computers remotely using Action1. I'm able to uninstall and install software, as well as run updates for most of the programs we use, which makes my job much easier and more productive. I also appreciate how it enhances security on every single workstation. Being able to do these tasks from one console, no matter where the computer is located, really boosts my efficiency and productivity. The initial setup was incredibly simple, just create your account and install an agent on each workstation. I like how once the computer checks in, I get a nice inventory and overview of everything on that workstation, including patches and vulnerabilities, right on my screen. Choosing how to deploy them is straightforward. Action1 has replaced the need for multiple tools like Instant House Call and Ninite, as well as spreadsheets and manual steps, which is a huge relief. It really is a time saver and enhances security, controlling patch management effectively, leading to fewer vulnerabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I did have trouble learning how to build and run scripts, so I think having a little more instruction there would help. I was able to research the answer and find a way to do it, and I applied it correctly. That's the only problem I found so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Action1: Lightweight, Reliable Endpoint Management with an Easy UI"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

action1 has been an outstanding addition to our IT toolkit. As someone who manages endpoints across a distributed environment, I’ve been genuinely impressed by how well it handles the heavy lifting of patch management, vulnerability assessment, and remote support. The platform is cloud-native, extremely easy to deploy, and requires almost no ongoing maintenance once it’s set up. I especially appreciate that it just works reliably without needing a VPN or complex infrastructure. The free tier for the first 200 endpoints is a huge bonus for smaller teams or testing, and the overall value is excellent. It has significantly reduced the time I spend on routine patching and security compliance tasks while giving me clear visibility into our endpoint health. I would highly recommend Action1 to any IT professional or MSP looking for a straightforward, effective endpoint management solution. The BEST part about action1 is that its literally the most light weight thing i've ever used. THE UI is very easy, and integration for other software already exists. THe performance needs some help on the UI when dealing with lots of software. Pricing is fair, very fair. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I have not found any, however, removing MSI software can be difficult when needs manual entry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Update Management Keeps Us on Track"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

It allows me to keep up with all of the updates that otherwise get forgotten throughout the year. It saves time when I'd normally have to do all those updates over the summer! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Some actions take a few more steps than I would like. For example, applying an update to certain computers rather than an entire group, is an extra step. BUT, I'm able to do it without any problems, so I can't really complain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kimberly Gonzales of Action1

"Set-It-and-Forget-It Patching with Action1’s Helpful Free 200 Endpoints"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

Having the first 200 endpoints free lets us use Action1 to patch all of our systems, since our company isn’t that large. For the most part, Action1 has also been a “set it and forget it” solution for us; it just works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Action1’s main focus is patching, so it isn’t a full-fledged RMM. I see that as its biggest weakness; however, the free tier has definitely been helpful for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the best RMM and easy to configure and best of all it's free!!"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

Action1 is an effective RMM that's cloud based making it ideal for hybrid or completely remote teams. Action1’s automation features and user-friendly interface ensures my IT dept uses minimum resources and guarantees that endpoints are protected, operational and up to date. With Action1, I’m able to manage patches, software, and active devices all in real time with an intuitive interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

What I dont like about Action1 is the lack of offline capabilities as devices must be connected to the internet for full management capabilities, and a complexity for higher level features such as compliance reporting and automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplified Patch Management and Vulnerability Remediation"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

What I like best about Action1 is its simplicity and effectiveness in patch management and endpoint administration. It provides a single cloud-based console to manage software updates, operating system patches, vulnerability remediation, remote access, and automation without the complexity of traditional endpoint management tools. The deployment process is straightforward, reporting is easy to understand, and automation capabilities help reduce manual effort significantly. I also appreciate the ability to quickly create custom scripts and deploy them across endpoints, making routine administrative and security tasks much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

There isn't much to dislike, but I'd like to see more advanced reporting, dashboard customization, and broader native integrations with security and IT operations tools. These enhancements would make the platform even more powerful for larger environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Action1 Simplified Patch & Asset Management, Saving Us Significant Man-Hours"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

Action1 has really simplified patch and asset management for us. Creating scripts and generating reports for our own asset management tool, and then feeding our unique asset numbers back in via scripts, has given us a very powerful workflow. As a result, we’ve reduced the man-hours needed to manage a large IT estate. 100% worth the price - it's free for up to 200 endpoints Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

There's nothing to dislike about Action1 - been using for 2 months and not found anything yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Patching and Management for Multiple Platforms"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

I like how easy Action1 is to use and how many features it has. It integrates well into our enrollment process with our MDM, and when MacBooks are enrolled, they automatically enroll in Action1. This feature allows us to manage app updates that our MDM struggles with. I also appreciate that Action1 lets us remote into Windows for troubleshooting. The setup was very easy, thanks to Action1's documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I would like a self-service type portal for users so they can handle installing apps and updates by themselves. I find remote support for macOS missing and would appreciate having that, and I also wish for the ability to remove macOS apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kimberly Gonzales of Action1

We're thrilled that you find Action1 to be a valuable tool for accomplishing various tasks. We have noted your feedback about the live terminal feature and will consider it for future enhancements.

It’s a one-stop shop for managing endpoints. The user interface is great, and I like having the ability to use remote desktop and perform remote reboots. It also supports customizable scripts, and the automation and reporting are outstanding. Onboarding is straightforward and easy, with just an agent installation needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Feature releases take a long time, and there are limited options during patch management deployment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
