"Straightforward Onboarding and Strong Performance with Action1"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

Onboarding devices is straightforward, and linking everything to our Entra tenant is refreshingly simple. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the level of performance. A previous employer used a different product, and in my opinion Action1 performs much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Compared to the tool I used at a previous job, I haven’t run into any specific “pain points” so far. I’m still evaluating the product and learning how to set up automations and remediation, so I may have more to share as I continue to get familiar with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Updates, Streamlined District Management with Action1"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

I like that Action1 allows me to handle the entire district at one time, which means I can send updates at a convenient time for end users and get everything updated before the next day. It saves me from having to run to each computer individually to install updates, which is really efficient. I also find Action1 customizable and relatively easy to use. The initial setup went pretty well, and I was able to schedule it to automatically load onto all the computers. I enjoy that it's easy to set up and work with, and it's intuitive. I'd highly recommend Action1 to others, giving it a score of 10 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Sometimes I find the software to be slightly clunky. And that if I am looking for one specific computer it seems to be somewhat slow. It also asks me to go through several prompts. It just seems like it could be streamlined a little bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"200 Free Endpoints and Patch Management That Delivers"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

200 free endpoints with patch management. I thought I'd have to pay heavily for any kind of patch management so had started to write my own scripts. Was so pleased to find Action1.

The reporting is far more in depth than I could have made myself.

Supporting Linux is a huge bonus too, we're using Linux more within the org.

Running custom scripts is also a huge bonus, I don't have to wait for endpoints to come on the VPN to pick up a GPO script.

The UI is very responsive and easy to navigate.

Changes on endpoints are reflected in the UI very quickly. Previous RMM software I've seen only updated every few hours at best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Scary to see how much software was unpatched in our org. While Action1 is undoubtedly saving time and money it has created more work because now we need to work out how to patch and update or remove all this software we didn't know about.

I wish I could define custom software for audits. Sometimes portable app or similar are used in various places because there is no installer. Having Action1 pick up on these somehow would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Action1’s Vulnerability Scanning and Remote Access Make Troubleshooting Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

What I like most about Action1 is its vulnerability scanning and the ability to remotely access computers, which makes it easier to troubleshoot users when they run into issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

The only thing I really dislike is that I can’t remote into Apple MacBooks. Aside from that, it’s been a huge improvement for my IT services for Windows users and for those who work remotely. For MacBook users, though, I still have to find other ways to provide support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Powerful, and Efficient Endpoint Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

What I like best about Action1 is its simplicity and effectiveness. The cloud-based platform is easy to deploy and manage, allowing me to quickly gain visibility into all endpoints without maintaining on-premises infrastructure. Patch management is reliable, remote access is fast and secure, and the interface is intuitive even for complex administrative tasks. It has significantly reduced the time required to keep systems up to date and respond to issues, making endpoint management much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

While Action1 is an excellent platform overall, there are still a few areas that could be improved. Reporting and dashboard customization could be more flexible, especially for organizations that need detailed compliance reports. Some advanced automation and scripting capabilities are not as extensive as those found in larger enterprise management platforms. It would also be helpful to have more granular policy options and additional third-party software patching coverage. These are relatively minor points, and none of them outweigh the overall value of the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Patch Management, But Needs Remote Connectivity Improvements"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

I currently use Action1 for patch management, script deployment, and remote tech support. It has greatly simplified how I update my endpoints, ensuring that not only the OS gets updated, but also the apps, and it warns me about the dangers of outdated apps. I appreciate the very user-friendly GUI, which provides an easy way to connect to remote users and deploy remote scripts on my endpoints. Everything just works: the setup was easy, and I was able to learn how to use the software with little external assistance within a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

When connecting remotely, there are times when it has failed, and I've had to resort to using AnyDesk. Also, it's slow when it comes to switching monitors during remote connect. I'd like to see a Wake on LAN feature so that I can leave my endpoints in sleep mode on a remote site and also have the benefit of waking and updating them. I also couldn't get the AD Deployment tool provided to work, so I had to download the MSI and run it on the endpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Endpoint Management, VPN-Free Access"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

I really like that Action1 allows me to manage endpoints from anywhere without needing VPN access. This feature is quite convenient as I'm able to work remotely or from another room in the office seamlessly. Additionally, having under 200 endpoints for free and having access to all the platform and support is a definite plus. The initial setup of Action1 was very easy and seamless, which I appreciate. What do you dislike about Action1?

More way to work with Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Action1 Makes Patch Management Effortless Across Windows, Mac, and Linux"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

The Action1 patch management platform is a brilliant solution for the never-ending fight with patches. The automations you can set up remove the headache of monitoring everything manually or having to rely on WSUS. The platform supports not only Windows, but also Mac, and it has recently added Linux as well. It’s also very easy to enroll new devices and place them into different groups so the automations apply the way you want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Once you get used to the platform (as any new product) there is nothing to complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Easy and Efficient Endpoint Management with Powerful Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

I love how easy and fast it is to use even at first contact with the platform. It covers all our machines both Windows and Linux (Even Mac, but we don't use it) with it have a lot of built in features like scripts, remotely access or install uninstall softwares and updates, lots of pre made reports and the ability to make new. Not to mention you can use all features for free if you have less than 200 endpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Even though you can fine tune software some software identification through Software Repository, sometimes it flags a wrong software vulnerability because of a wrong software identification, like Firefox ESR which have two distinct versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Free Enterprise-Level Patching Tool That Just Works"
5/5
What do you like best about Action1?

Enterprise level patching tool (software scanning, vulnerability identification, and reporting) available for free, it's incredible. The interface is simple and intuitive but can help perform more in-depth functions as needed. The ability to deploy custom scripts or scripts from the built-in library is very nice. The agent is lightweight and easy to install and doesn't seem to have a noticeable impact on endpoint performance (even on lower-end hardware). The ability to create granular patching policies and schedules and apply them to different device scopes is very important and great that it's there in a free tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Being able to remotely view client-side logging would be nice (it's possible that this feature exists and I just haven't looked into it enough yet). The ability to get rid of some default features (like the New Endpoints group) would be nice, but is not a dealbreaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
