**What do you like best about Action1?**

I appreciate its automation features and how easy it is to deploy.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Our biggest and most immediate issue is that the remote feature is extremely slow. The input lag is terrible, and it makes using the remote frustrating.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vulnerability mitigation while keeping all of our systems up to date.

  ### 3. Simplifies Patch Management, Room for Remote Access Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really appreciate the connection and engagement with the community when using Action1, and I'd like to give a special shout-out to Gene for that. The remote access feature is basic but gets the job done when needed, and I find the script library quite useful. Deploying custom scripts using Action1 saves a lot of time for me. I also found the initial setup to be very easy with the GPO deployment method.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find that the remote access feature of Action1 could be improved in terms of speed. If it performed better, it might replace other alternatives like ScreenConnect.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 provides a central portal for managing all patching and updates. Deploying custom scripts saves a lot of time, and while basic, the remote access functionality works when needed.

  ### 4. Reliable Windows Updates, Robust Patch Library, and Excellent Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan W. | Operations Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

Remote Access - Browser based which can be difficult to use at times.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It ensures our client fleet stays up to date with third-party application updates in a seamless, effortless way.

  ### 5. Excellent Free MDM with Remote Support, But Needs Remote Wipe Feature

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** saiteja s. | Security Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The best MDM with free features.

I like the remote screen share feature a lot because our clients haven't been able to remediate some issues, so we used this feature and remediated the vulnerabilities.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

we are missing the remote wipe feature.

For example, if any employee loses their laptop, we want to wipe the entire laptop's details so no data will be lost/theft

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 helps us easily manage and monitor all our endpoints from one place. It saves time by allowing remote software updates, patching, and troubleshooting without needing to access each device manually. The automation features reduce routine IT work and improve overall security. It also helps us quickly respond to vulnerabilities and keep systems compliant. The cloud-based dashboard is simple to use and gives a clear view of device health. Overall, it makes endpoint management faster, easier, and more reliable.

  ### 6. Easy Software Deployment and Clear Status Reports

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

The ability to deploy software easily and the status reports.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I think the lag with the remote control program needs to be improved.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

patching and deploying software is easier for me. It avoids having to remote into the pc.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Brian,

We're happy to hear that Action1 is making software deployment and patching easier for you. We appreciate your feedback about the lag with the remote control program and will take this into consideration for future improvements.

  ### 7. Action1: Effortless Setup, Reliable Automated Patching, and a complete Peace of mind

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 stands out for its effortless 5-minute setup, dependable automated patching for both the OS and third-party applications, and a cloud-native architecture that doesn’t require a VPN. I also appreciate the built-in remote desktop, and many users place real value on the generous free tier covering the first 200 endpoints.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

While it works excellently on Windows, the Mac and Linux support still feels less mature by comparison. It also doesn’t include mobile device management (MDM) for smartphones, and the reporting tools could go further by offering deeper, more granular customization—especially for highly complex enterprise environments.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps safeguard sensitive client financial models and critical debt syndication data. Action1 completely eliminates the headache of manual security updates. By automating OS and third-party patching across our devices, we stay secure without sacrificing valuable consulting hours. It gives real peace of mind.

  ### 8. Action1 or How to Plan, Deploy, Automate, and Document with Confidence

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregory U. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The patching process is the strong point of Action1. You can plan, deploy and automate as well as document every issues that cannot be fixed by any patch (no longer supported software,...)

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The remote desktop feature is basic. You can remote connect and do some stuff but it is a far cry from dedicated software such as teamviewer, anydesk and co.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation and patching. When you have multiple endpoints to manage, it is a time-saver software. The possibility to add custom scripts to further improve the automation makes it a powerful tool.

  ### 9. Effortless Patch Management with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yury X. | Coordenador , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

This platform is very straightforward and doesn't try to be everything—it focuses solely on patch management and does it well. There are no real barriers to entry; it's easy to implement and features a robust API, which makes integrating it with other tools in my stack simple.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I understand the reasoning behind making it cloud-based, but for organizations with very strict network policies, or even for government use, I believe Action 1 should consider offering a self-hosted option in the future. Additionally, I find the user interface can be somewhat confusing at times.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me time when it comes to patch management for my small business, especially since we lack manpower.

  ### 10. Intuitive Solution for Patch Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jamie a.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I use Action1 for patch management and remote access, and I like that it is pretty intuitive. I also appreciate the fact that there are no crazy ads for the free version. It acts as a single point where I can patch and resolve potential issues, allowing me to make several security-minded decisions in one spot. The ability to manage a customer nearly from tip to tail stands out to me. Additionally, I found the initial setup to be very easy.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I have had machines go offline and not come back online despite them being turned on. I tried to access a Mac but was not able to.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 is my single point for patching and resolving issues, allowing me to make several security decisions in one place.

  ### 11. Straightforward, Reliable Patching Across Multiple Clients

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew H. | IT Consultant / CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Straight forward to use, allows consistent approach to patching across multiple clients and is reliable in operation!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Whilst it has a quite a few basic reports and has features to create your own reports, the process is too complex and the reports would be better if it could generate and scehdule sending of PDFs

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create for consistency and making complex patch management across clients easy

  ### 12. User-Friendly, Accurate Patching with Free Coverage for 200 Endpoints

  ### 13. Fast, Simple, and Automated Remote Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Terrance R. | ISSM, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really find Action1 fast, especially compared to waiting for Intune, and that's a big plus for me. Running scripts remotely is another aspect I appreciate; the potential it offers to manage an endpoint is significant. The initial setup of Action1 was very easy—just create an account and install an agent. Simple.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

It doesn't give a lot of information when updates fail. I can't figure out the reasons when there happens to be delays.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for updates, software installs, remote access, vulnerability scans, and inventory. It solves limited access issues and handles regular automation.

  ### 14. Affordable, Straightforward & Cloud-Based Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael L. | Network IT Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I find Action1 to be a very robust system that is straightforward to use, which is great for a small non-profit like ours. The cost is right for us, making it even more appealing. The initial setup was very easy, which really helped us transition smoothly when we moved to a serverless infrastructure and needed a cloud-based solution.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I would love to see a community platform where people can readily share scripts/projects/usage of data sources in the system.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 helps me with patching machines, connecting to remote devices, interacting with UAC prompts, and managing assets.

  ### 15. A platform I was looking for.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel H. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The platform not only allows me to automate patch management, but also provides valuable insight into what is happening with my devices. The fact that it is free for up to 200 devices makes it ideal for my small, independent school.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

As I am using it for not a long time, I cannot find anything yet, maybe except failing to deploy new software through the platform. So fat, it didn't work in most cases and I would love to kow why.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 solves my biggest time consumer - patch management. IT would take me ages and physical presence to first check, what needs patching, then swithc the devices on and finally pushing patches to all of them. Now, with automation scheduled and timeout set to a couple of days I know the patches will be applied even to laptops.

  ### 16. Time-Saving Patch Automation with Fast, Easy Vulnerability Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The patch management automation saves a lot of time, vulnerability reporting is easy and fast, as well as remediation. The UI is great to use
It also doesnt interfere with existing solutions we already use in House

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The only dislikeable thing is that it is solely cloud based, but at least you can choose to use an EU based for it

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having deatiled reports about vulnerabilities from our whole inventory, always ready, accurate and easily available.

Updating Software with basically no interaction

Not having to worry about so many CVEs, because they have a self maintained CVE List

  ### 17. Patching Endpoints Made Easy: My Hands-On Experience with Action1

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon F. | Technology Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

What I find most helpful about Action1 is that the first 200 endpoints are free. As the Technology Director for a small nonprofit private school, I have to be very mindful of our budget. I was specifically searching for a free solution for patching computers, and that's when I discovered Action1. Since I manage fewer than 150 devices, the platform is completely free for my needs and I use it daily, whether it's patching endpoints, upgrading devices to Windows 11, or using the remote desktop feature. Setting it up was also very straightforward—I was able to deploy the agent to all my devices using Group Policy. For small organizations like mine, Action1 has truly been a lifesaver.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Although I don't have many macOS devices in my network, I do have a few, and while I can use Action1 to patch my Macs, I find it less robust compared to patching my Windows machines. The remote desktop feature does function, but its capabilities are quite limited. For example, I can't transfer files from my computer to the target device through Action1, so I have to rely on another program for that task. Additionally, if the target device uses a second monitor, I can't simply scroll between screens; instead, I have to click a button to switch views. One more issue is that Action1 logs me out more frequently and sooner than I would prefer.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 is helping me patch my computers on my network as they were extremely far behind on updates. It's also assisting me with moving my Windows 10 devices to Windows 11. Since I have less than 200 endpoints, all of this is being done for free so its also helping me save money. Lastly, being able to do all of this remotely has been a huge help. I'm a one man team so touching every device is time consuming. Action1 allows me to save some walking and do it from my office without breaking a sweat.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Brandon,

We're happy to hear that Action1 has been instrumental in helping you patch your computers and upgrade your Windows devices. We appreciate your feedback about the limitations you've experienced with patching macOS devices and the remote desktop feature. We're continuously working to improve our platform, and your input will be taken into consideration as we strive to enhance the user experience for all our customers.

  ### 18. Efficient Third-Party Software Updates Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The ability to deploy updates for third-party software effectively and efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The interface is very intuitive and user-friendly. At times, it can feel a bit too simple.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been helping with third-party application patching. My next step is to handle Windows patching through Action1 as well.

  ### 19. Simplified Patch Management with Action1

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben S. | Group IT Manager, Construction, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like the ability to manage the updates for all my PCs in one place. It's valuable to me as it cuts down the time drastically on making sure each PC is up to date. We switched from Ninite to Action1 because it's a much easier and more well-rounded software to manage patch management automatically.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

A mobile app would be a nice improvement to manage updates on the go.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to automate patch management, saving time by updating all PCs in one place. It simplifies our workflow, which is why we switched from Ninite.

  ### 20. The best RMM Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco A. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

User-friendly interface, and the first 200 endpoints are free.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I've been using it for over a month now, and honestly, there’s nothing about it that I don’t like.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching, upgrading, and managing the operating system and software on remote computers.

  ### 21. Easy to Use, Quick to Implement, and Packed with Helpful Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mihai . | IT Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It’s easy to use and straightforward to implement, and it offers a lot of features that genuinely help me.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

During an automation, there isn’t much information about whether it’s still running or if it has failed or run into another issue.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management was the main reason I chose this, and thanks to its features I can also monitor removable media activity and password failures.

  ### 22. Efficient Asset Management with Free Licenses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** omvir s. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like the free licenses from Action1 because they help with inventory management and listing software. The initial setup of Action1 was very easy, which I appreciate. I'm also really impressed with the overall experience to the point that I'd rate my likelihood to recommend Action1 to others as 11 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

When we use Action1 on the Asia server, it's a bit slow, but if we go with the Europe server, then it's a good speed.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for asset management, inventory management, and vulnerability assessment. The free licenses help with listing software effectively.

  ### 23. Easy to Use and Valuable for IT Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sameh A. | ICT manger, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Easy to use and very useful for the IT team. It’s free for the first 200 devices.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Nothing so far, but if there were a mobile app, it would be perfect.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to manage all apps and updates across all my devices from one cloud-based place is great.

  ### 24. Standout Dashboard and Endpoint Patch Control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

For our company, it’s definitely the dashboard and the endpoint patch control that stand out the most.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Sometimes new updates don’t come through as planned, so the endpoint has to restart and download the updates again.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management and real-time vulnerability assessment.

  ### 25. Simple/Easy to use yet powerful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben S. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

For me there are 3 strong points that make Action1 particularly attractive:
- Simplicity: Onboarding devices is incredibly simple, either single devices or Active Directory bulk can be done in minutes
- Easy to use: Everything you need is laid out in clear visualisations and dashboards, vulnerabilities/missing updates etc
- Powerful: The scheduled tasks, scripting, and modularity aspects makes it easy to extend the existing functionality specific to your needs

All features are available for free forever for the first 200 endpoints.
Any features that you need you can request to be put on the public backlog, which they are actively working on, e.g. recent addition of Mac support is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Lacking some of the more advanced/fine-grain features that products like Intune offer. Most likely can achieve somewhat similar results through the scripting aspects though.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Almost all of our endpoints are remote, Action1 is cloud-based allowing us to manage our devices remotely.
- Cost saving
- Automated patching/scheduled reporting of our environment

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Ben,

Thank you for your review! We're thrilled to hear that you find Action1 simple, easy to use, and powerful. Our goal is to provide a user-friendly experience with robust functionality. We appreciate your feedback and are continuously working to add more features.

  ### 26. Does with near zero footprint what a massive and outdated WSUS eco system does, only better!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus G. | IT manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I am impressed by how Action One, with its lightweight agent, is able to handle all software updates—from the operating system to Adobe, drivers, and even VMware tools. On top of that, it also provides remote control and remote reboot capabilities, all within such a streamlined package. The operational overhead for this is almost zero. Implementation is a breeze so long as one keeps the customised install binary at hand. Customer support: i cannot judge this as the product thus far never required any support. I used this product every day and due to use having complex interdependencies a value the ability to mix and match automation and manual selection.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Honestly, i cannot think of any downsides. WSUS no longer is an option for us and other products are just as bloated or unwieldy.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 takes the headache out of Patch management because for us both automation and manual selection are equally important. We manage endpoints spread over a vast area, some literally out of reach, physically.

  ### 27. Everything needed in one place!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Usman S. | SharePoint Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Its very user friendly and the simple interface makes life easier. The best features i like are that is a very quick and easy to remote access a device and to literally check the A-Z of a device, from updates to installed software and vulnerabilities.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Sometimes the reports dont turn out the way i like them. I need to play about with it more to get the result i am after.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a solution to solve patching and help with remote desktop. As we are a charity, we did not have the budget for high priced solutions. Action1 has saveed us money and provided a good solution

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Usman,

We're glad to hear that you find Action1 user-friendly and that it has been beneficial for your organization's budget. We appreciate your feedback about the reports and will take it into consideration for future improvements.

  ### 28. Granular, Easy-to-Use Updates with a Great Free Device Allowance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | Founder/owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Great selection of software to update, it's granular so you can choose what gets updated when. Also like how easy it is to use, appreciate the 200 free device count as a business startup

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Found it tricky at times to manually add software to update however still easier to manage than intune

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a startup it's helping me use enterprise level patching without breaking the bank and having to worry about committing to a system at a pre-revenue phase.

  ### 29. Centralized environment to keep systems and applications always updated

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It is a centralized environment to keep systems updated, and not just Windows, but all kinds of applications.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

There are still operating systems that are not supported.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Facilitate keeping systems updated in a simple and centralized way.

  ### 30. Excellent Updates and Vulnerability Management—So Far, So Good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike P. | Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It does updates and vulnerability management better than my RMM

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I'll let you know when I find one. So far, so good.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me insights into vulnerabilities that were getting missed, and is keeping systems up to date.

  ### 31. Effortless Endpoint Management and Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe T. | System Administrator

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really like that Action1 is very user-friendly and intuitive. It makes it easy to find different things like reports, inventory, and endpoints. I also appreciate that by just clicking on an endpoint, it shows everything I need to know, such as updates needed, vulnerabilities, and operating system patches. We've been using it for only a couple of weeks now, and I've already become a big fan of Action1. The setup was extremely easy, allowing us to roll it out quickly and seamlessly, with no interruptions in work.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Well, the only thing I can really think about is when you sort a list on the endpoint screen, like the patches or vulnerabilities, the sorting is strange. Like, it seems to just sort by the largest number, and it doesn't sort easily. Also, I noticed yesterday I had to basically restart the program to get it to sort my endpoints by name correctly. It was sorting them by all different things, and they were jumping around. That's really the only thing I've noticed.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to monitor our endpoints, install updates, and check vulnerabilities easily. It's simple to see what desktops need updates, and we can automate patches. It streamlines endpoint management effectively.

  ### 32. Excellent Endpoint Visibility and Efficient Automatic Updating

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nenad S. | Head of regional branch IT, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

visibility of endpoint states (vulnerabilities & missing updates) and efficiency in automatic updating

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Some scripts must be approved ba Action prior running on endpoints, it's ok for security reason, but its slow

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

automatic updating & securing workstations is so easy with Action1.
My job of securing our workstations is much easier because of Action1

  ### 33. I love the the layout of the UI and the automations available

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheri V. | IT System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The UI is laid out in a way that makes sense to me. It is easy to navigate and has all the options out in the open and not buried in menus. I like that it offers automations that don't require I know coding and my own batch files. I use it every day to keep an eye on my workstations and servers. Getting started was a breeze and putting it on all my machines was easy and fast. Their huge repository of software that they maintain is amazing. It means I don't have to constantly download new versions myself.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The biggest downside I have is that it doesn't due updates to Office. I've tried setting it up the way they recommend and I can't get it to work. I would love it if they set up something that was easier to implement that. Another downside is the vagueness of some of the error codes. It can be difficult to figure out why an automation isn't completing.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of keeping my computer software up to date with the latest security patches and updates. It saves me a ton of time in automating repetive tasks so that I don't have to go out and touch each computer. It also lets me keep track of what people are installing on their computers without asking.

  ### 34. A Budget-Friendly IT Resource

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe L. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has been great for maintaining a clear inventory for our company. I can easily deploy agents to workstations, identify which workstations are online, and deploy updates as needed.
The ability to schedule Windows updates at specified intervals has been greatly helpful in ensuring we're up to date on necessary updates.
It's also great that I can remotely access our users' workstations to work on them when I am not in the office.
I use Action1 almost daily. It was easy to integrate and implement into our tech stack.
I've yet to use their customer support. However, with how smooth everything has been, I don't see a need for it.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

If I'm honest, I'm not sure there's a downside. Action1 has been a tremendous help in this IT house of 1.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 has enabled me to monitor and administer our workstations remotely. This has been a huge help. More importantly, the patch management interface has enabled me to see what updates and patches are missing. I tell Action1 which ones to deploy and BOOM, it's done!

  ### 35. Simplicity and Visibility with Action1

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like Action1 for its simplicity and visibility. The fantastic dashboards give me all the information I need on one page, broken down into easy-to-read segments, and I can click on each segment to drill deeper for more detailed info. The initial setup of Action1 was very simple and straightforward. I find these aspects really valuable in ensuring reliable and automated patching and updates.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I would like to see the ability to create global automations. Things like deploy updates could be done on a global level instead of having to create this for each organization individually. As an MSP, we would love to see some integrations. HaloPSA would be top of our list.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for ensuring reliable and automated patching and updates. The simplicity and visibility are great, and the dashboards provide comprehensive information at a glance, with the ability to drill down for details.

  ### 36. Effortless Remote Connections for Seamless Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

being able to connect to the endpoints much easier and faster than any other remote software making it easier to provide remote suppport because some users need support just to even connect to a remoting software.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

that i keep having to switch monitors as i idk what app is gonna open on which monitor. there should be an option to switch from multiple to single monitor like other remote softwares where they view everything in a single monitor on our end regardless of the number of monitors the user is using.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its solving the problem of having to explain users how to connect to remote so i can have a look at their screen. and its just less of a hastle to connect to users. and we can run scripts in the background without having to interrupt the user's workflow.

  ### 37. Intuitive Interface, Quick Installation. A very suitable patching solution.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charle L.

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I appreciate the simple and intuitive interface of Action1, which makes its use quick and anyone can use it without spending hours on the documentation. It is functional in a few minutes without the need for complex configurations. Moreover, the initial installation was very easy, with just a few clicks and a small agent installation. I was able to patch without difficulties.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

There are missing features such as "chained automation," but they are planned for later. Better report management would be appreciated; I currently find it complicated to create a report that meets my needs with the current system.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 centralizes patch and vulnerability information, solving the visibility issue on our server fleet. It is simple and quick to use, operational in a few minutes, and does not require much configuration.

  ### 38. Intuitive UI, Effective Patch Management, but Expensive

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J V. | Computer Technology Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really like that Action1 makes it easier to identify and update critically needed updates for my PC. Its UI is very easy to read and understand, which is great. I also appreciate being able to see what each individual PC is lacking update-wise. Plus, the initial setup of Action1 was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Their pricing, if you have a big company but not too big it can really hit the wallet.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 makes it easier to identify and update critically needed updates for my PC.

  ### 39. Action1: Simple, Effective, and Free—But Remote Support Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben B. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 is incredibly easy to use and does what I need it to do. I work for a small non-profit that did not have any kind of patching procedure in place before I took on the role. I needed something that was easy to implement and just as easy to use, the cost of zero dollars was the icing on the cake!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The only thing I don't love about Action1 is that that remote support tool is nowhere near as robust as others I've used and could use some features added on.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 helped me get our 100+ endpoints up to date and inventoried very quickly. Being able to not just update, but to push out software installs and scripts, remove old software from machines, and provide seamless "behind the scenes" support has been a game changer!

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Ben,

We're thrilled to hear that Action1 has helped you efficiently manage your endpoints and provide seamless support. We value your input about the remote support tool and will strive to make it more robust.

  ### 40. Simplified Patch Management with Robust Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** C J.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really like Action1's ease of use and the comprehensive information it provides about each endpoint. The interface is easy to navigate and doesn't take long to become proficient with. I appreciate how it allows us to group servers and desktops into separate entities, making the separation of duties very easy. It's great because we have two separate teams, one for servers and another for desktops, so each group only sees the objects they are concerned about. The ability to patch third-party applications makes both teams' lives a lot easier. The initial setup was really easy too.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I would like to see staging for the patches so everything can be downloaded prior to the installation. Right now, pushes start at 3 PM and reboots at 6 PM, and it would be nice to have the option to stage patches, especially for sites without a high-speed connection. Sometimes, downloads can take almost an hour at these sites before installation can start.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for patch management, setting routine schedules, approving patches, and handling third-party apps. It simplifies team duties with easy interface navigation and detailed endpoint information, enhancing efficiency.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi C J.,

We're glad that you find Action1 easy to use and that is has simplified your team's duties and enhanced efficiency. We appreciate your feedback about the patch staging feature, and we'll keep that in mind for future enhancements.

  ### 41. Great Update Management and Software Deployment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Great update management and Software Deployment.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The remote desktop feature could use a few more improvements.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re able to push software and updates to our remote staff, which makes it easier to keep everyone up to date.

  ### 42. Exactly what I needed!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aryan B. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has made my life much easier. Every Monday, I used to spend time creating update packages, which always felt like a waste of time. Other automation suites I looked at were too expensive and included features I didn't need. Since we already have a system in place, I was looking for something focused solely on patching, and action1 delivers on that very efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Honestly, there isn't anything bad to say, does exactly what I need. While some people might draw comparisons to an RMM, I actually appreciate that it isn't one. That aspect makes me even more satisfied with it.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The automation of patch management and the clear overview of what needs to be updated and when have been extremely helpful. This feature saves me a significant amount of time.

  ### 43. Efficient Automation, But Improvements Needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I particularly appreciate the automation of patch sessions with Action1. I quickly get a report on what is applied or not, and the initial installation process was very simple.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Driver updates are too poorly documented and I'm afraid they'll break the workstations.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for tracking and applying patches. It automates patch sessions, providing me with quick reports on what is applied or not.

  ### 44. Affordable OS & App Patching That Just Works

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy G. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really like its ability to patch both the OS and applications, especially at such an affordable level.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

It has caused problems by restarting an app after patching it, without warning the user. Action1 still doesn’t support Remote Desktop management to Macs.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 is steadily increasing the number of apps it can patch.

  ### 45. Patch Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Easy to use, patch management that works. The reporting works great as well

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

None so far, everything is working as planned

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching desktops works great
The vulnerability scanner also works well, which ties into patch management

  ### 46. Outstanding Patch Management with Incredible Free Value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action 1 is by far the best patch management application I have used, they are continually evolving and adding more and more value to the product. And with 200 endpoints for free it's great for managing a home lab or small business at no cost. Setting it up takes a few seconds, just be aware you do need to verify your account to get the full feature set, this has no cost.

The Automations mean you don't have to login everyday, once its setup it pretty much runs itself.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Theres nothing I really dislike as such, I just wish that perhaps their feature growth was a little faster. And the account verification process, used to be difficult. However it seems like a much smoother process now.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily Patch Management, ensuring my endpoints and home lab are up to date and secure, and doing so essentials hands off.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> We appreciate your input and are glad to hear that Action1 is helping you with patch management in a hands-off manner. We'll continue to strive for faster feature growth and smoother processes.

  ### 47. Seamless Automation for Vulnerability Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddharth P.

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really appreciate how Action1 transforms a traditionally painful, manual process into a seamless automated workflow that keeps the organization secure without slowing us down. It's great for vulnerability and patch management by continuously applying fixes and identifying risks. I also like that Action1 keeps the organization secure, efficient, and compliant while freeing up resources for more strategic work. The initial setup was smooth and easy to download, which was a pleasant surprise.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

While Action1 is strong in automation and ease of use, some areas could be improved are report customization and advanced remediation option.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 solves the problem of unpatched software vulnerabilities by continuously applying fixes and identifying risks. It automates a traditionally manual process, keeping the organization secure and efficient while freeing resources for strategic work.

  ### 48. Robust Endpoint Management with Minimal Costs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like that Action1 is free for the first 200 endpoints and offers a lot of features. I can monitor a lot with Action1, which is pretty comprehensive.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The most challenging part was fine-tuning our firewall to cap its network bandwidth. Action1 will take all the bandwidth you allow it.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to manage updates on our endpoints, preventing updates from going out without admin approval. It offers great features and is free for up to 200 endpoints.

  ### 49. Powerful, Easy Deployment with Clear One-Click Dashboards

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

super easy to deploy, software very powerful, one click views, clear dashboard, ability to deploy our own packages, works with all major OS

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

very expensive for education, charity or other small groups - well worth the cost but small organisations just don't have that money for their IT

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

vulnerability assessment, replaces wsus

  ### 50. Completely transformed our patch & vulnerability management!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The roll out of Action1 has completely transformed the way we manage updates and address vulnerabilities across our organisation. Before its introduction, tracking patch status and identifying risks required far more manual effort and was prone to visibility gaps. Action 1, has allowed us to have a far more streamlined, automated, and proactive approach.

Getting it setup across our org was straightforward, with minimal disruption. Once familiar with the interface, and the way it worked, it proved to be powerful, intuitive, and highly efficient for day‑to‑day use.
Overall we can now quickly identify missing patches, track vulnerability exposure, and deploy updates across the estate in a consistent and controlled manner.

If you’re on the fence, it is definitely worth giving it a try, especially with the generous 200 endpoints for free. The monthly vulnerability webinars are also super useful!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I can't really think of any areas that I dislike. The lack of Linux support was an issue but that has recently been resolved.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to keep our organisation running smoothly with great endpoint management and software deployment.
