"Fast, Straightforward Patching and Onboarding with Action1."

4.5/5

What do you like best about Action1?

It’s straightforward to use, with a low learning curve for getting to grips with the system. Performance is really fast, and it’s easy to get your devices up to date in a short time frame. We were fully patched within 8 days, even with a mix of part-time and WFH endpoints. Onboarding was also very straightforward: we deployed the agent via InTune and were up and running quickly. For us, staying below the 200-endpoint marker made it a no-brainer; we’ll cross that threshold fairly soon, but the cost still feels very competitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

The only issue I’ve run into is getting “stale” devices (for example, when a user is on holiday or otherwise absent) updated. The stored “last seen” value updates, and those endpoints then drop out of the dynamic group I created before the automations have a chance to run. That said, it was easy enough to use the script tools to design a workaround. Other than that, I haven’t found anything else to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has given me complete control over patching and software deployment and gives me all the detail I need to keep the endpoints vulnerability free. It makes a great companion to InTune and fills in several "holes" in deploying updates and security or ASR rules. The scripting library is a fantastic tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Action1 is Awesome!"

5/5

What do you like best about Action1?

I love that Action1 will run scripts on endpoints even if they are not on the local network. I also love that Action1 will keep my endpoints updated and vulnerability-free. I love that Action1 supports software integrations and their consumer friendly pricing structure. They have responded every time I've made suggestions where the platform can improve. Automations run in the cloud and perform well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I would like event based automations to run upon device enrollment or being added to a group, such as specific software applications that specific departments use.

Some applications are set to deploy to endpoints but are packaged for servers. Sometimes custom applications are named to match what's installed, but do not detect the exact verbiage after completion somehow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping Microsoft and Linux products updated and secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Endpoint Onboarding and Outstanding Patch Management with Action1"

5/5

What do you like best about Action1?

The ability to get top view of all of our endpoints such as missing updates and vulnerability scanning. The onboarding of our 400+ endpoints was seamless for us as a small team of 4. The performance of pushing out patch updates to all our end points has been amazing. We came from an on prem solution that was clunky and relied on the WSUS tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

There are no downsides when it comes to using Action1. Their current integrations, along with the future integrations they have planned, made it an easy choice for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Their UI makes it extremely easy to view all of our 400+ endpoints in a single pane. It also lets me quickly and efficiently report to our CIO on the current state of our patching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect for Secure Environments and Easy Deployment"

5/5

What do you like best about Action1?

I like that Action1 is simple to deploy and works well for patch management. It's easy to divide environments, which is really helpful for my company's corporate and PCI DSS settings. It's also great that since we're 100% cloud-based and coupled with Intune and PIM, we're able to easily support the solutions that have been deployed. I found the initial setup very straightforward using the link to download the .msi and deploying via Intune. Action1 fits our needs perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

The remote control component could be a bit more user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Action1 to support my company's corporate and PCI DSS environment. It provides a mechanism for separating the PCI DSS environment from the corporate environment and serves as a means of patch management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Action1 simplifies remote endpoint management with full visibility and quick setup"

5/5

What do you like best about Action1?

The thing I appreciate most about Action1 is its ability to truly simplify remote endpoint management, without requiring complex infrastructure or the use of a VPN. The platform is intuitive and quick to set up, and it allows for complete visibility on patches, installed software, vulnerabilities, and the overall status of devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I don't like that Action1 doesn't have a real app, neither for PC nor for phone: having to use only the web console is inconvenient. Furthermore, the remote desktop function is often slow and unresponsive, which makes remote interventions more cumbersome and frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Easy Vulnerability Tracking and Powerful Device Data Insights"

5/5

What do you like best about Action1?

Action 1 has made it easy to track vulnerabilities and missing updates and the vast amount of device date is incredible. One feature that has helped is the installed software feature as it allows you to uninstall applications. Integration was very easy via install app on Windows and bash on Mac. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I don't really have any dislikes. The current state of the machine is probably updated in minutes and sometimes you want it to be updated instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were hoping for the best before Action 1 just covering the major system updates. Our eyes were opened to all we were missing. The user interface gives us a dashboard for a general oversight and lets you drill down to the more specific updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Action1?

Action1’s greatest value is that it offers a basic yet powerful suite of tools at no cost. For small and medium-sized businesses that may not be able to afford a traditional EMS, Action1 meets essential needs with fast, simple deployment and makes managing company devices much easier. The agent deployment is practically friction-less and so easy you can do it in a variety of ways whichever meets your needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It’s hard to dislike anything about it, considering it’s free. If I had to point out one area to improve, it would be to make the pre-packaged software selection more extensive. Several popular apps, like Notion, aren’t included by default. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Action1 helps us solve a range of problems, such as keeping an inventory of active computers, generating reports on their hardware and software, auditing and reviewing issues through scripts, deploying apps and packages, and overall significantly increasing our control over our computers. "Very good product"

5/5

What do you like best about Action1?

Installing and using Action1 is very easy. Agent setup is fast, and you get immediate results. All endpoints are reviewed and updated within a very short amount of time. Creating scripts, reports, and custom packages is straightforward, and it also makes it easy to patch “special” types of software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I would like to have a mobile application so i don't depend on a computer. On the reports it would be useful to get minor versions of the installed software. The remote administration tool is a bit slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used to rely on a different tool for patching and updating software, but Action1 is free for the number of endpoints I have and it does the job better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Action1 Streamlined Patch Management and Remote Access for 100 Endpoints"

5/5

What do you like best about Action1?

Action1 has transformed my daily workflow for managing nearly 100 endpoints in a non-Active Directory setup. Having automated vulnerability scanning, patch management, and built-in remote access in a single dashboard is a huge time-saver. The platform integrates seamlessly with PowerShell and standard MSI/ZIP packages, allowing me to deploy custom software, set up directory structures, and register Windows Services silently.

The onboarding process was straightforward, supported by excellent documentation that made setting up agent deployments easy. The built-in AI assistant and intelligent automations help quickly analyze deployment logs, summarize patch states, and streamline script troubleshooting. When an endpoint needs maintenance, the integrated remote access lets me connect immediately without switching tools.

The web UI is clean, and the lightweight agent runs silently with virtually no CPU impact. Offering full enterprise functionality free for the first 100 endpoints provides unmatched ROI, turning hours of manual, machine-by-machine maintenance into a smooth, centralized process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Honestly, my only regret is that I didn't discover Action1 sooner!

If I had to mention a minor technical point, agent deployment over local network paths in a non-domain (Workgroup) environment requires a quick manual batch script or local execution. However, once the agent is installed, the cloud connection is rock-solid and it works flawlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Action1, managing a network without Active Directory meant wasting countless hours on manual, machine-by-machine software updates, custom script deployments, and juggling separate remote access tools.

Action1 solves these challenges by centralizing patch management, vulnerability assessment, software deployment, and remote access into a single, unified dashboard. It automatically scans for outdated software and deploys critical OS and third-party updates across all endpoints simultaneously, eliminating security blind spots. Furthermore, its deployment engine allows me to package custom ZIP files with PowerShell scripts to silently set up directories, copy dependencies, and configure Windows Services in seconds.

Ultimately, it has completely eliminated tedious manual maintenance, dramatically improved our overall network security posture, and saved me hours of work every week by streamlining my entire IT administration workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
