Table is not user friendly like as familiar CAD software. Looking same but not satisfied. I expect should be like as familiar CAD software. if possible.

In over all Tamil Nadu Corporation Building Plan Approval Authority using private supporting program based on familiar CAD software. While they are using ActCAD, getting Table error problem.

All own Lisp program could not use directly from familiar CAD software, we have to revise something for ActCAD (Actually this is not a problem) and also LSP file compiling is not available like as .FAS, .VLX

ActCAD is small but powerful, almost universal CAD software with self license transfer mechanism.

With ActCAD Pro and new BIM in perpetual version can work anywhere, anytime with minimum requirements for PC, Windows and Internet options.

Low-cost and Life-time ActCAD is almost equal with expensive CADs.

For practical Engineers and Architects, ActCAD with 2D, 3D and with BIM options is more than you really in designing or on a construction site need.

ActCAD is a real engineering CAD program because all logic is followed

with CAD standard as a CAD program, that's why it's easy to use.

ActCAD Professional supports all versions of DWG and DXF formats.

With a good selection of plugins ActCAD can convert raster images to Vector a and supports PDF 2D import-export as well as export to 3D PDF. For all that to be complete, ActCAD made sure you also had the option of 3D Render with Artisan. What needs more :)

It works pretty well and doesn't cost me my first born.

Have not used the application very much recently and so I have little to contribute here except to say it has improved (i.e., I don't recall being ticked off with the application the last time I used it). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When the application opens, it automatically presents a drawing. I would rather it not. Accessed drawings could be anything from anywhere and would much prefer not having yours always in the way.

When I save a drawing, the application automatically also saves a .bak. I would rather it not. Our drawings are always saved off-line to two locations automatically. Your .bak just clutters up the client folders . . . a real nuisance. Used to always have a choice with AutoCAD.

When printing, ActCAD 2020 PDF does not work. Am using CutePDF in its place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I liked the simplicity of interface and the size of the software itself, which helps us to run it in lower configuration PC too. It is 70% more or less like AutoCAD only.. be it the commands or the interface. If you have worked on AutoCAD, this will be quite easy to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are lots of bugs which they are still working on.. it hangs up in few hatching instances and the biggest issue is that it only supports 700 colours, which is a big negative in today's workflow.. I have requested them to increase the number of colours but they have not taken steps towards that since last 8 months. Although, I feel that with every update, they are trying to clean bugs but a big NO for more Licenses for my team, until they increase colours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the fact that the user interface is seamless with AutoCAD. I only need to know one set of commands! I am also a fan of ActCAD's technical support. I sometimes have a problem with ActCAD properly plotting TrueType fonts properly. ActCAD can be a little difficult (slow and flickers) to work with for files with large PDF underlays or large PIC files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As the workflow, interface, commands etc are very similar to the popular industry standard traditional CAD software, the learning curve isn't that steep & eases transition to the ACTCAD based work environment. In addition, the flexibility of the license allows small & medium size engineering companies to confidently implement it companywide. We have faced problem where using the Auto Update feature in the software results in ActCAD asking to put the license key again after the new version is installed. The Auto Updated definitely needs improvements & should not ask for reactivation. Also, there are still rough areas in terms of hatching & other needed CAD features to bring it to true parity with ACAD. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Works just like ACAD. Very low learning curve. Just the locations and names of a few commands to learn, but otherwise everything works. All my old drawings open and look good.

I don't use all the advanced functions, so can't comment on those. All the basic ones work well, and close enought to ACAD to make the transition smooth.

It does take a little while to get used to where things are in the menus. Not everything is identical to ACAD, but close enough that learning is fast.

Printing was a problem at first until I played with settings a few times.

I had trouble getting the license to transfer to another macnine. Never got it to work. Did exactly what Support said, but it still did not work.
