There are just better systems out there at similar costs. It's less common, so you'll have fewer resources fully comfortable with helping you edit/build/send. Recommendations to others considering Act-On: There are better systems out there -- namely, Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua and Hubspot, depending on your organizational sophistication, the integrations you need, and how much you plan to store/track analytics via the platform. As far as a basic CRM and marketing automation software - it's fine. As in, if it was free it would be fine. For what they charge and for the capabilities and the (inferior) support, it's absolutely not worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Act-On? Where to start? When I used Act On we experienced multiple bugs - MAJOR bugs...The company's response? Cheeky....Allow me to elaborate on one experience: One such bug was mails went out at midnight rather than 12 noon, the time we programmed them for. When we reported the bug Act On support said "yes, but what about all the other times the software worked?" Didn't fix it and offered us a $100 credit. Cheeky. Recommendations to others considering Act-On: My recommendation is to read the reviews and find a service provider that's quality, fixes bugs and actually provides support rather than cheeky answers like "but what about all of the other times the software DID work?" There's not really anything that excites me about using the platform. I use it for its purpose and move on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Act-On? Some things can require more clicks than necessary and can be a pain to access. The user interface feels really outdated. Using the data studio in order to pull reports using tokens takes longer than it should to configure. Searching through Outbound to find messages in order to view individual performance of the emails is very frustrating. Acton gave us the ability to send mass emails in a simple to use framework with little need to onboard or study up on using the software. In fact, we were able to hit the ground running within 24 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Act-On? We had a marketing team and a large sales team. While marketing was the primary user, we also had a need for each sales person to control individual lists and send emails using marketing created templates. In addition, we needed to be able to monitor and analyze these campaigns. ActOn was unable to have multiple users as independent senders, rather all users used the same account, which muddied the analytics and did not allow independent management based on user. Their Customer Support is AWFUL. I have opened support cases, never to hear back. When I contacted my sales rep, he said I could purchase 'platinum support' to overcome the lag. Lag??? I didn't even get a response on one case, and on another, I didn't hear back until 2 weeks after I submitted!. My sales rep also told me that I should not be asking him questions, that I needed to contact my CSM. Well, I did not even know I had a CSM, there was no hand-off process, or the CSM never reached out to me to introduce herself. Awful. Just Awful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. On top of my concerns voiced earlier...our implementation took 4X longer than it should have because we had no resource for the technical set-up.
