"Robust Brand Control and Customizable Portals"
5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I love the clean look and highly customizable interface of Acquia DAM (Widen). The portals are also a standout feature, allowing us to easily create microsites without needing to engage external agencies, which saves us both time and money. They are flexible, modular, and require no design experience, which significantly aids in our product launches by simplifying the process of building a portal and supplying all the necessary assets to sales. Additionally, the integration with our PIM and Master Data software facilitates a seamless workflow. The initial setup process was smooth and well-supported by a helpful implementation team, making the transition straightforward. Overall, the system serves as a reliable single source of truth, granting us control over our brand while saving time and money by ensuring that content is not shared outside the system. I've been a long-term customer and, based on my experience, I would highly recommend Acquia DAM (Widen). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I feel that the quick search function in Acquia DAM (Widen) needs improvement. Users often prefer to search the way they do on e-commerce sites like Amazon, but the quick search currently provides the largest and possibly less targeted search results. Although the left-hand filters are very accurate, they are not the preferred method for many users. I am hopeful that the introduction of semantic search will enhance the search functionality. "Comprehensive Asset Management with Acquia DAM"
5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I love the ability to manage our metadata structure and set up alerts for assets that are missing required data in Acquia DAM (Widen). This feature is incredibly valuable as it helps ensure that all our digital assets are correctly organized and accessible, which saves us time and improves our workflow efficiency. Additionally, the integration potential with other tools such as Salsify PXM and Salesforce Commerce Cloud expands its utility significantly, allowing seamless synchronization and use of images across different platforms. This integration ensures our team can maintain consistency and accuracy across sales channels, which boosts productivity and ensures packaging precision. The transition from cumbersome on-site servers to Acquia DAM (Widen) has allowed greater flexibility for our team, enabling access to digital assets without being restricted by location. Overall, Acquia DAM (Widen) has become a critical component of our operations, helping us manage a diverse range of resources efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I encounter issues stemming from years of not having an Admin, leading to a significant effort to clean up poorly uploaded assets. The absence of AI tools to assist in identifying, versioning, or removing these assets is a notable gap, although I am aware it's on the roadmap. The delay in having such AI capabilities is frustrating, as it would greatly facilitate asset management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Asset Management with API Flexibility"
4/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I use Acquia DAM as our single source of truth for media assets and customer agreement forms. It effectively addresses the issue of data storage sprawl by enabling us to keep all files centralized, enhanced with custom and useful metadata. One of the standout features for me is the API, which I find advantageous due to my software development background. This allows me to integrate the DAM system with almost any other application seamlessly. This integration capability is crucial, as it supports our current workflows with tools like Wrike and SmartSheets, and has previously allowed me to integrate with numerous custom applications in different job roles. I also recall that, based on my experience at my last company, the initial setup of Acquia DAM (Widen) was exceptionally smooth and efficient, thanks to the hands-on support from the Widen staff. This contributed greatly to a positive implementation experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I want more reporting/analytic capabilities and more ways to manage portals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Frequent user with limited training currently reorganizing our companies assets"
5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

Once you get familiar with the system’s capabilities, it’s fairly easy to use. The ongoing updates to improve functionality are excellent, and it’s clear you listen to user feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

The UI has definitely improved, but it can still be confusing at times. There are limitations in how some account settings can be managed. Since I joined a couple of years after the system was originally set up, I found a lot of repetition across categories, roles, asset groups, and metadata. It has taken months to rethink and reorganize, and I still have weeks ahead to finish recategorizing and cleaning up redundancies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive DAM with Robust Features and Room for Metadata Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I like that Acquia DAM (Widen) is versatile enough to support different upload profiles for various brands and areas within our company, which helps in organizing our assets efficiently. I appreciate how it accommodates different user profiles, allowing us to specify access and visibility, so each user only sees what they need to. This feature is particularly valuable for maintaining order and confidentiality across departments. It's also beneficial that designers can create collections and portals, making it easy for team members to locate specific assets as per their immediate needs. The Copilot feature enhances user experience and adds to the efficiency of asset management. Overall, these functionalities help streamline our digital asset management significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I find that the inconsistency in entering metadata by uploaders is problematic. Although some fields have been made mandatory, there remains a need to clean up older assets. The varying levels of detail provided by different uploaders—some filling all fields, others only the mandatory ones—result in inconsistency. This inconsistency makes it difficult for users to find assets through a general search within the DAM as opposed to accessing specific collections or portals. Additionally, the lack of a dedicated DAM administrator makes managing uploads time-consuming for designers and marketing specialists, despite the system's intuitive design. "User-Friendly, Fast, and Excellent Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I find Acquia DAM very user-friendly, as it was simple to learn and integrate into our workflow. Uploading or updating files is fast, and they become accessible to everyone right away, which I really appreciate. Additionally, customer support is readily available whenever needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

The main issue I have is that there are so many settings to select when uploading files, which makes the process take longer than I’d like. Additionally, after clicking yes on one of the options, the screen changes and presents several drop-down menus. This forces you to find your previous spot again before you can finish filling everything out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Asset Organization and Distribution with a Great Portal System"
5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I love the way it organizes our vast array of assets in a very easy way to distribute. I love the portal system! I love the opportunity to get so many of our daily tasks all housed in one platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I wish associated platforms, such as Templates and Workflow were solely housed under Acquia...having to use so many other vendors to make those work is cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Resource Hub"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I really enjoy that Acquia DAM (Widen) has become a genuine resource hub for our company. On the Assets side, it is wonderful for version control and static links to only the most recent assets and being able to organize them into Portals makes them easy to highlight for our internal customers. On the Entries side, the integration with our ERP system and other sources of information make it easy for our internal customers to find the product information they need, which also includes Assets from the DAM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I understand that with a lot of applications under the Acquia system, development time is limited resource that needs to serve all areas, but as a business stakeholder for the Entries implementation at our company, I wish there was more development happening on the Entries application. There are certain features we have submitted early in our implementation of Entries that would really impact the usability and adoption of the system for our users, and I wish there was some more movement or acknowledgement of those requests.
